Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed spending time here today. This is a big and beautiful park with big rocks and cliffs overlooking a lake and different pathways to explore. Please be careful and safe - there are signs posted that the cliffs can be dangerous. There are other areas of the park that I would love to explore next time.

Fantastic experience: We had a great visit. We took a short trail by the lagoon and back since rain was coming. Great covered picnic area and playground for kids. Don't forget to sit on the porch and rock. That's our favorite part.

Fantastic experience: What a beautiful park with amazing hiking trail that leads to the catch and release pond (great for learning how to fish), the rock formations makes it a fun exploring site for my kids, the playground structures are very cool and has lots of activities options, not to fond of the broken rubber mulch around it. There is a dog park next to the playground, so it's nice to watch dogs playing while the kids playing too. There is a big pavilion on top of the hill and few picnic tables near the playground & dog park. Ample parkings nearby. From the playground parking site, we drove down towars the end of the other parking spots for the hiking trail to save time and avoid heat from the sun ( it was a beautiful sunny day) It's nice and shady along the rock formations hiking trail. We didn't do the whole loop, just the fun shady part near the pond. Absolutely gorgeous view from the top of the hill, this is a great find for local retreat, photo ops, birthday party, fishing(catch and release only), yoga retreat or even just to enjoy the breeze under the trees while lying down on the rock.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful bike and walking trails. Bathrooms near parking area. Pavilions and picnic tables with playground and fenced dog area. Leashed dogs are allowed on all trails. Very beautiful scenery. We broke in our new Trek Marlin bikes on the trails with our 7 year old. It was great!

Fantastic experience: Been going to this park since before it was a park! Love they turned it into a beautiful park instead of buildings. The trails are a great place to train on the bike or running, trail is a little over 2 miles with an optional mile loop that contains a couple of technical sections for the advanced riders. Short and sweet but you can utilize the connector trails to create different loops so you'll always have variety and a solid place to train! Also good for the fams, awesome dog area and great place for children to explore beautiful nature.

Fantastic experience: I liked this park WAY MORE than I expected. The green grassy area is only a small part of the larger park. Several trail routes. The trails are well maintained though one or two parts are faint, you still have a definite sense of where the trail goes. Has a small lake. The rock bluffs are actually kind of impressive and more extensive than I expected. And they have multiple bathrooms. Trails have benches even. I suspect I only explored half the trails today. Will come here regularly. Trails range from easy to moderate with only a few steep parts. Loved it.

Fantastic experience: Awesome park. Great bike and hiking trails, great rock climbing for kids, nice playground for little kids and lots of shaded paths... and a 2 sectioned dog park. Recommend this park for family fun and relaxes afternoon.

Fantastic experience: Awesome place... Relatively short trail(s) & relatively mild intensity depending on skill level... Soft beneath the feet, and well shaded, the creekside trail offers interestingly serene stimulation for the eyes and ears. Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: Love this park. Cherokee Bluffs have great views of the mountains. My wife and I actually got married near the pavilion November 9, 2019. Has great playground for kids and has two huge dog park areas.

Fantastic experience: I didn’t get to view the entire part trails, but from what I saw it was clean, popular, beautiful trails! Something I didn’t expect in this part of town! The dog park could use a lot of upgrades, not many owners there. But the trails were amazing!

Amanda Zook-Mills 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: This is a perfect place for an easy hike. It's 2.25 miles total. There are not steep inclines, just some gentle hills. Not suitable for strollers, however. A jogging stroller might make it over the roots and rough places

Fantastic experience: Great park. Facilities are wonderful. Brody had fun!

Cecelia Passarella 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: Very nice park with dedicated trails for walking and bikes. Plenty of free parking and large covered bbq pit area across from a rustic log cabin that marks the beginning of the trails for picnics and play area for the kids. Public rest area with clean bathrooms and changing tables. The trails are easy to navigate with point markers for distance navigation a simple 2.5 mile walk with just enough rough terrain to work up a mild sweat as the trails are 99% covered by trees just the entrance and exits open to the sun so even in the hottest weather you stay cool enough to enjoy the “ forest “ plenty of small wildlife birds and frogs to delight the curious nature loving senses with hum and chatter of birds and the occasional toad most enjoyable

Fantastic experience: Great wide open green space plus hiking/walking/mtn bike trails. Went to check out the pictured pond with wife. Will return soon to wet hooks and see if anything bites. No issue whatsoever for me, but others may care...they have signs posted indicating Catch & Release only. I live in the next county east of this park (Jackson Co) and sure wish we'd get more parks like this my way. They had a dog park, play ground (we didn't actually see the area or playground) and amphitheater...and another nice building.

Vanessa Jacky-Davis 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: Beautiful winding and shady hiking trail. Great for all ages. Also a great dog park, small amphitheater and benches throughout. I would recommend this park especially during the warmer months because it’s quite shady and there are lots of small creeks running throughout. Beautiful vegetation. They also welcome mountain biking. But warning: Take a GPS / phone with you the first couple of times you go or you may find it difficult to return to the parking lot in a timely manner. My first time, we walked in circles, along with another group we'd met up with. So, take a GPS device/ cell phone.

Fantastic experience: My dog and I enjoyed our first visit to the park! The hiking trail is beautiful, well maintained, and easy for all ages. It's about 3 miles long. Parking seems ample and it wasn't very crowded on a spring Saturday evening.

Fantastic experience: My love of this park is second only to Little Mulberry. It has been over a year since the last time I had been here and I loved the improvements! This park is a hidden gem in Hall county. I just wished the ampetheater was used more for community events.

Fantastic experience: Great park with a walking/bike trail, playground, dog park, pavilions, and more. Perfect trail for a quick, easy workout. Our 2-year-old loves the playground, just wish they had swings. Overall a fun spot and one of our go-tos.

Fantastic experience: Amazing trails through the landscape. Cut right into the woods. Clear cut trails for bikes and walking. Beautiful pond. Great for entry level hiking.

Fantastic experience: Great open space park with mountain bike trails and walking trails. Excellent dog park as well.

Fantastic experience: This is a really nice county park. The views are great; from up by the entrance you can see a long to the north. The dog park is well maintained and the people who use it are largely considerate in picking up after their dogs. There is a 2.25 mile hiking trail around the edge of the park. Most of the trail is in the woods, so there's a lot of shade. You do have to for the occasional inconsiderate bicyclist who thinks they have right of way. The park has public restrooms, pavilions, water fountains (with about half of them having a dog fountain), an amphitheater, and plenty of parking. Hall County did a great job with this park, and it's definitely a nice place.

Fantastic experience: Such an amazing trail. If you like nature and serenity this is it. The trail is 3 miles one way but there are markers. I walked 3 miles total. Clean park with many great photo opportunities.

Fantastic experience: Love this park! We had our church picnic there tonight and it was perfect!

Ice Vazquez 4 years ago

Fantastic experience: About 2.7 easy miles. Mostly Shaded spots.. Lots of tall trees, water creeks. Quiet and beautiful....Trail was clean and easy to follow. Not too many ppl on a Sunday. Free parking. Clean restrooms. I will come back.

Fantastic experience: The nature trails are wonderful, and well kept, although not wheelchair-friendly. Benches and rest spots are plentiful. The water level was down due to a dry September, but there was still a trickle through the creek. There is a nice catch-and-release pond. Adults are worn out before the children, and the return trip is uphill. I suggest paying attention to how far you go from the parking area before you turn around.

Fantastic experience: A great park with a playground, pavilion, hiking/bike trails, a frisbe/flying disc area, and a dog park. Especially beautiful in the fall, with an array of trees changing leaf colors. Also, with vast open land, great for picnicking, or leisure play with the family.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful park. Has a kids play place and some nice trails. Took my puppy here and was happily surprised they had a dog area that was fenced in where I could let him play. Well taken care of.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic park! Clean, and well made. Ton of space! A must see for any park lovers. There's so much offered here.

Angela Martin 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: We love this park! The playground for the kiddos is super cute and they love coming to play. The green space is gorgeous, and makes it a popular spot for senior photos or other types of portraits. The walking trail is simple, short, and sweet. Just enough for a great walk outside in nature. Watch out for bicycle riders though, I’ve been almost clipped a couple of times!

Fantastic experience: this is a great park for many reasons. We went there with our grandson and son. 1st. They have a dog park and if your dog is socialable with others, you can throw him in there to play with other dogs. 2nd. The playground is great. It has several challenging climbs to test the littles ones so they can build courage and confidense. 3rd. The hiking trails are very nice. Still primitive and go along exposed rocks the size of a two story house. 4th. water fountains and rest rooms, including dog water fountains. 5th there is a catch and release fish pond. 6th Disc Golf I highly recommend this park.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I love to come to this park. It has a nice easy trail down to a small creek and rocky water hole. This is a pet friendly park, but keep your dog on leash. From a trail experience level, I would rate this park as easy. Bathrooms are accessible up top and mountain bikes are welcome

Rachel Cathey 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: This park is amazing! There is so much to do for the nature lover. My girls loved the rock cliffs. The playground is top notch too, there's even an interactive app you can download to go along with the playground equipment. We live right around the corner and will most definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: Great beautiful park. Open spaces with walking trails, good size playground. It also has a wonderful dog park if you're looking for a great place for your puppers to run.

Cara Hickey 6 years ago

Positive experience: We took our toddler and 2 dogs yesterday. It was nice to let them both play. The playground is brand new and great. The dog areas were good and had water. Only wish there was more shade.

Jessica Lekki 6 years ago

Fantastic experience: Really cool place for older kids and adults. Must be physically fit-ish. Trails are not paved, uneven, good incline at times. Not stroller friendly nor wheelchair friendly. Very beautiful. Perfect place for flying a kite. No playground for the kids. Lots of grass and room to run. Long trails for hiking. Pond for fishing. The bluffs are cool little shallow cave-like rocks. I can imagine Indians living here.
