Fantastic experience: I can never thank my daughter enough for getting me started with Coach T at Training Ground Athletic. It has made such an incredible change in my life - both physically and mentally. Working out with someone who has Coach T's passion to help people strengthen their body is a gift. I've learned so much about the importance of strength and mobility (particularly as we age) and about how what I eat impacts my health and well-being. An added benefit is the final recovery from two years of frozen shoulder, without ever aggravating it further. My husband and I brag about TGA all the time and how about it has changed (and likely extended) our lives. Highly recommend TGA to anyone looking to improve their fitness at any age and from any starting point.

Fantastic experience: So glad I stumbled across this training gym! It can be nerve wrecking going to a new gym but I felt welcomed the second I walked in. Fantastic experience: I have been training with Coach T for about 7 months, and I have seen major improvements in my overall health and well being. What I love about TGA is the consistency and the sense of community. I work out at TGA 3x a week and I always look forward to class! Coach T and Dave are very deliberate in how they put together the strength training programs. In addition to increasing strength, I've changed the way I look at my nutrition & lifestyle thanks to TGA. I now eat to fuel my workouts and build muscle. I highly recommend TGA to anyone that wants to make a change in their overall health and fitness!

Fantastic experience: Not sure why Patti's name on there but it's Mike here..... If you've ever been frustrated with #1 Getting in shape #2 Staying in shape #3 Not having a support system in all this Then you gotta visit Coach T and Coach Dave at TGA! Been going here for quite a few years, turning 64 in December and I'm healthier and stronger than ever in my life. We just finished a 5-day "No Sugar Challenge" and the community support to reset our diets is not like anything you'll find. If you put in the effort and really want results then get an appt with T and Dave and get started. If you stick with this "healthy community" you'll not only get in great shape but also meet like-minded peers all focused on the same thing- growing older while being stronger and healthier than anyone else. Ya gotta get TGA in your life!

Fantastic experience: Coach T ROCKS! I have been training in her small group classes for just over a year. I love her know-how, the focus on technique and safe training, her passion for helping me get to my best self. It is hard. She pushes you. And you grow stronger, more toned, fit and confident. Fantastic experience: I walked into Training Ground Athletic December 23, 2021, not knowing what to expect, just knowing I needed to invest more time and energy into my health. Now it is July 1, 2022, and I have added 4.6 pounds of muscle and decreased my body fat (at 55 years old). Coach T has incredible patience, I was not coordinated, and balance was so-so. I started with private sessions where we built up my strength, worked on weightlifting techniques, changed eating, and sleeping habits, it’s a life changing process and Coach T pushes you to challenge yourself. When Coach T told me I was ready to move to the small group sessions I was nervous, but it’s the same great workout with the encouragement of others who want you to succeed as much as you do. I continually see improvements in my overall health/fitness. If you are ready to take charge of your health, I highly recommend Training Ground Athletic. Coach T brings incredible knowledge to every workout and pushes you to be healthier and stronger. If you follow her guidance, you will feel better physically and mentally.

Fantastic experience: The day I walked into this gym was the best day of my senior life. My health is very important to me and I knew I didn't want to age the way I was observing around me, slumped over shoulders, multiple prescriptions, no energy, etc. Coach T took me in hand and brought me to the healthiest I have ever been in my life and I am 70! If you want to age differently than the crowd (her mantra) then you need to check out this gym! A 30 lb. weight loss was the added benefit! This is not just a gym as Coach T is someone who wants to help you become the best version of yourself in every healthy way.

Fantastic experience: I've been training with Coach T for half a year and she is incredible. I anticipate my workouts every week and becoming more powerful. The classes are intimate and everyone is very amiable. Coach T makes sure we are distanced and has numerous covid safety measures in place. I feel very secure exercising here.

Fantastic experience: If you are ready to take on the challenge and put the work in to make a lasting / meaningful physical transformation, read on. If not, enjoy your 30 minutes on the treadmill at your gym 3 to 4 days a week and keep asking yourself why you are not in shape! I started training with Coach T at TGA 5 and 1/2 years ago. I was about to turn 50 and was in horrible shape. Her training sessions are first rate. They are the right balance of preparation, stretching and work. For each session, there is a general framework for the class but each workout is specifically tailored to each person. Moreover, the class size is limited to 6 people due to COVID-19 protocols resulting in lots of personalized instruction. With respect to COVID-19, in addition to limiting class size to 6 people, Coach T has gone above-and-beyond to create a safe environment: everyone has to wash hands upon arrival; all the equipment is sanitized prior to each class; and each participant has their own socially distanced workspace and individual equipment. The results speak for themselves. I just turned 55, I feel fantastic and I am stronger than I have ever been in my life! I’ve also lost 20 pounds (I really lost a lot more fat than that but gained muscle too so I am only down a net 20 pounds) and lost 5 inches off my waist. My results are NOT atypical. There are numerous people that I’ve witnessed make similar transformations at TGA. Bottom line, Coach T has a simple message: if you are committed to aging differently than the crowd and putting the time and effort into making a meaningful change, she will 100% commit to helping you achieve meaningful and transformational results!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I can't say enough wonderful things about Coach T! She has been our "Angel of Health"! She has motivated us, educated us and gave both of us and our family a new outlook on health and the food we put in our mouths. Fantastic experience: TGA is undoubtedly the best fitness experience I have ever had. Coach T keeps us all accountable and truly cares for each team member and it SHOWS! Any questions pertaining to fitness, nutrition, goal keeping, and motivation have been answered ten fold. (I like having thorough answers so this was a huge plus for me!) It was important to me to have 2 things when looking to start my fitness journey: accountability and simplicity. With TGA I get both. There is nothing better than showing up and having everything planned out for you and having your numbers programmed. I just completed my first round of PR testing and had an absolute blast- and of course am now driven to work even harder for the next round :) I'm down over 4% body fat since starting in November and have seen a drastic increase in lean muscle mass. This aligned perfectly with my goals. If you're looking for motivation, accountability, a reliable and authentic coach, and most importantly RESULTS-TGA is the place!

Fantastic experience: TGA has changed my life for the better. I've been training here longer than any place I've been before for the simple reason that Coach T is committed to health, nutrition, teaching, and people. The strength training offered is the perfect workout needed for me to improve my balance, flexibility, and strength. Workouts are fun and offered in a small group setting with a sense of community and accountability that keeps me coming back. Thru the TGA supported ProLon fasting mimicking diet, I've lost weight, and inches, and learned how to eat for optimal health. TGA is the whole package for health.

Fantastic experience: I was in my 50's and thought I was in great shape. I did lots of cardio (bike, run, swim) and my heart rate and BMI were looking good. Then, after talking with some friends, I realized that all of my cardio was actually working against important fitness characteristics like muscle mass, core strength, mobility, and flexibility. I joined Training Ground Athletic and started group strength classes with Coach T. My transformation has been amazing! My body composition has changed dramatically (more muscle, less fat), I'm more flexible, and I have more energy. With my increased core strength I've been able lengthen my cardio workouts and I recover more quickly with fewer aches and pains. As a bonus Coach T's comprehensive approach to health and fitness (nutrition, sleep, stress management) will be excellent for my longevity. I've made great friends at Training Ground Athletic; there's nothing better than working out with a team that is committed, like-minded, and supportive!

Fantastic experience: Coach T is the absolute BEST! She has become an overall health mentor to me. Not only does she help us become stronger with her well thought out group training sessions, but she is also always motivating us to join her in different healthy eating challenges. She’s introduced me intermitten fasting by doing Prolon. She is always educating herself to be a better coach to us. Fantastic experience: Coach T is a miracle worker. I had a major knee surgery and just through her diligent coaching, she has helped me to lose weight and gain muscle. TGA has a great set-up for those that are willing to put the effort in to transform themselves!

Fantastic experience: Going to TGA has been the game changer in my strength training. I avoided strength training for fear of injury and being alone with no one to guide me except youtube videos and random articles on the web. But here I have a community and accountability to keep on training. Coach T is motivational and a great role model of fitness. She consistently provides education on muscles and proper form so the information does click and I got results! I see my body composition changes and so do my coworkers, family, and friends since I've started weightlifting here. I have lost fat and gained muscle. This place has been a godsend for my health journey and I recommend it to anyone who wants to do strength training in a safe environment with a team of other people who share and support the goals of strength and consistency.

Fantastic experience: Having done CrossFit for a few years and seeing a lot of my CrossFit friends get hurt, I decided I needed something different. I floated around to various gyms but I really missed weightlifting and realized I was not self motivated, nor did I really know how to program workouts on my own. I found TGA while googling weightlifting and signed up for their training camp where you learn how all the lifts, safely! This is one thing I did not get in CrossFit and I realized I was doing every lift incorrectly and at risk of injury if I kept it up. Coach T is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of strength training and nutrition and always learning to make sure we are getting the best training possible. I started there to get stronger but it was really the communal support and encouragement that kept me going back. I eventually signed up for individualized health coaching which was amazing and I learned so much about myself to carve out a path for a sustainable healthy relationship with food. I also started doing ProLon, the 5 day mimicking fasting program, and have had unbelievable success with this program. I am down 30 lbs from the time I started with TGA; I am stronger and just feel so much better mentally and physically. I highly recommend TGA to anyone who is serious about changing their body composition and getting educated in health and nutrition to live a healthier life.

Fantastic experience: For those of us who are in the mature age group Coach T provides the appropriate Strength Training - Everyone is Individually Programmed. I may not be lifting the same amount weight as a 35 year old but I perform the same lifts. I am also grateful for the health coaching - what worked in the past wasn't and by changing a few things I have maintained a weight that is lower than it was 20 years ago. I highly recommend Training Ground Athletic and Coach T!

Fantastic experience: I joined TGA about 2 years ago and it has been the single most effective thing I’ve ever done for my health. Coming from a dance and yoga background, walking into a strength training gym wasn’t exactly in my comfort zone! But I’m so glad I took the leap. Coach T is a true gem and I’m honestly shocked she’s serving regular folks like me here in the northwest suburbs. I keep thinking she’s going to be scooped up by a tv show! She’s truly passionate about what she does, is meticulous about safety, walks the talk, and provides healthful living education that is always at the forefront of research. Beyond all of this, she has created a true team of like-minded individuals which is the icing on the cake here. It’s like a 2nd family. Get in on this and “become the strongest version of yourself!” What are you waiting for?! Oh and PS, you could eat off the floor, no joke.

Fantastic experience: I have been training at Training Ground Athletic for 5 years now. When I first started the purpose was for me to lose weight but then I would watch the girls that had been training there and how strong they were, I would tell myself...I want to be strong like them. So I in a short period of time I started training 6 days a week with Coach T. I was determined to catch up to the strong girls and I did! I am going to be 40 this year and I have never felt better. I am stronger now than I was when I was in my 20’s and I owe a lot of that to Coach T and her programming. She is the best Coach I have ever trained with. Her workouts are well designed and programmed. She is a great motivator, she makes me want to push myself and get stronger!

Fantastic experience: I have trained with Coach T at the Training Ground Athletic for almost two years and couldn't be happier with it! Coach T customizes each athletes workout and weight ranges so that everyone is on target to hit their own personal goals. It's like having a personal trainer in a group class setting and you can truly feel that Coach T cares about each and every one of her clients. She has created a strong family of athletes of all ages at the Training Ground Athletic, and you will not find a better community of like-minded people to work out with. Everyone is very supportive of each other's goals, and the community mentality really helps to keep you accountable! I am not only stronger and leaner since joining TGA, but I have also become mentally tougher thanks to Coach T's excellent training style (which is what keeps me coming back!). I always feel confident that she is challenging me to lift the heaviest amount of weight for my personal goals, and that she is watching my form so that I don't injure myself. The accountability is what keeps me focused and it is truly the most important part for me. The Training Ground Athletic is a strong, supportive community of athletes of all levels encouraging each other to become the strongest versions of themselves, and I could not imagine training anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: I would move to Mount Prospect to work out with Coach T. Seriously. I live in Brooklyn and she is relocation-worthy. I've been visiting my sister, who trains at Training Ground Athletic. I went with her this week and Coach T welcomed me with open arms. Her hour-long sessions are smart, strategic and give you an incredible and challenging workout. You are in a group, but she is constantly moving from athlete to athlete -- checking your form and giving you specific tips/instructions. She pinpointed areas of mine that need strengthening -- areas that other coaches had let me slack on. I can't recommend her highly enough. Go!

Fantastic experience: I have found that Training Ground Athletic in Arlington Heights, is the best place to work out. Coach T is a perfectionist when it comes to the correct form and she works hard doing her research to make sure we are doing the best lifts/conditioning for our body and constantly programming our lifts so we are challenged without getting hurt. Even though we are a group strength training, Coach T. makes sure our form is perfect and she sees everyone, ALL THE TIME. I have felt stronger and in better shape than I did when I was playing ball in college. This is not just like going to the gym, get on the treadmill, and read while you work. This is a committed community who have been doing this for a while and have seen positive results. Within our group strength training, accountability is paramount. Everyone in our community is so positive and encouraging. Coach T also guides us in our nutrition/lifestyle to make sure we are eating the right foods to fuel our bodies and help us to recover quicker.

Fantastic experience: I learned about TGA 6 months ago from some friends who work out here. They told me about Coach T and How amazing she is and how much knowledge she has about training, workouts and that she is a Functional Medicine Coach. I am a big Proponent of functional medicine so I was very, very curious. So I scheduled an appointment to go in and do an interview to see if this was a place I would be interested in exercising. I went through the six week training camp to learn more about how to lift weights because I had never lifted weights in my life. I had always just been a runner and yoga person. So I was a little bit leery at first because I was afraid that lifting weights would make me (a petite woman) bulky. However I have learned a lot about how strength is so important especially as you age. I have learned a whole new way of working out and I love it. I love all the new things I am learning about how works out of various body parts affected your body through strength training. I recently completed a 21 day challenge and loved all the great information and how to get healthier from a holistic approach. It was fun to all work together and encourage each other. I will continue with TGA and the amazing Coach T for the long “run.” If you are looking to becoming healthier, loose weight and becoming healthier for life, TGA ALand Coach T is the place for you! Be strong!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been working out at TGA for at least 6 years now attending the group strength and conditioning classes. Coach T has helped me prepare for my wedding and most recently has guided my fitness and health during my pregnancy and currently post-natal recovery. Since I’ve always been interested in fitness, I didn’t want to stop once I found out I was pregnant. Once my doctors cleared me to continue with my workout program, I reached out to Coach T for additional guidance. Coach T was constantly evaluating my performance and making modifications to the group workout classes to ensure all exercises were within safe limits. She additionally guided me with my health and nutrition questions. I truly feel that training at TGA and Coach T’s help with pre-natal workouts allowed me to have an easy pregnancy and quick and easy delivery. Since I have returned to TGA, Coach T has once again personalized my post-natal recovery programming by working on specific exercises to strength my core and pelvic floor before rejoining the group classes. Coach T is constantly developing her programs with everyone’s goal’s in mind. She is always keeping us accountable and does so without compromising form and technique. I would highly recommend TGA to help you achieve your workout goals including post-natal recovery.

Fantastic experience: Training Ground Athletic in Arlington Heights is fantastic! I started group strength training there after being referred by a friend. I was apprehensive because I've never considered myself athletic and had never strength trained before. I was welcomed by an awesome community people of varying ages and at different life stages (including pre/post-natal). Everyone at TGA is part of the team and shares the goal of becoming stronger and the best possible version of themselves. Coach T does an amazing job programming for and training each client individually while maintaining group interaction and accountability. She places great emphasis on proper technique, warm-up, and mobility. In addition she shares her health coaching knowledge (proper nutrition, sleep, etc) so that we can be successful outside of the gym, too.

Fantastic experience: Training Ground Athletic and Coach T, have changed my life. This is the best place for Strength Training in Arlington Heights, and the area. I’ve gone to many trainers and classes, and none produced the results, physically and mentally, that I have gotten at TGA. Coach T is the best in the business, and specializes in group strength training, pre-natal training, post-natal training,mobility, coaching, group interaction and accountability. I love the team and the community we have created and the group interaction. We as a team participate in allot of TGA challenges. We receive education about nutrition and programming as such. Fantastic experience: The training ground has to be one of the best workout establishments in Chicago. Coach T meticulously customizes each workout, setting it up in order to where it's most effective. My favorite thing is that she teaches proper form. Fantastic experience: Coach T is an expert in the health and fitness arena! Workouts are individually based, but done in a group setting. This is the best of both worlds, of private training with group accountability. As a physical therapist myself, I appreciate all of the focus Coach T puts into correct form, injury prevention, as well as personalizing modifications, when they are needed. Coach T is an avid reader and researcher which mean our team always gets the most up to date training techniques and workouts. This it the best team and I am proud to be part of it!

Fantastic experience: I have been an active member of TGA for about 5 years now, and it is difficult to accurately summarize my positive training experience. I have worked as a trainer and alongside trainers at commercial gyms, and Coach T's expertise far surpasses any other coaching experience I have had. She emphasizes a focus on a well-rounded training program including metabolic conditioning, client-specific programming to increase strength, mobility, flexibility, nutrition, and encourages a positive team atmosphere. After many years, I still look forward to my daily workouts and opportunity to become more educated in terms of my overall health and well being. I'm getting older, but continue to build strength, remain mobile, and feel great! I would recommend TGA to anyone whether you are new to the training world, or a veteran!

Fantastic experience: Guys in their 20s might be averse to getting trained by anyone other than a dude that's ripped, benches 300+ lbs., and can squat your car. Don't be. Coach T is an expert and TGA is legit–it's the real deal. I've done personal training in the past, and this experience is significantly better. Truthfully, I actually feel like my personal goals are more of a focus in this group setting than they ever were with a personal trainer. Coach T provides programming that's specific to me, unparalleled coaching, and education about why certain lifts are crucial to my overall fitness. She keeps you accountable and challenges you to be the strongest version of yourself. The group atmosphere is fantastic. The people that work out at TGA are a real team, and we're always welcoming new teammates! I know the people I work out with, and it makes a difference that they care about my goals while I also care about theirs. I challenge you to find a better trainer, and when you fail, I'll see you at TGA.

Fantastic experience: Coach T from TGA was the miracle In my life. After being fat and obese for 37 yrs of my life I'm now on the road to results. I can finally see the best that I can be. Her training strategy and experience is unmatched by any other gyms that I have attended. Im at the best shape and on the road to be in the best physic of my life. Thx Coach T

Fantastic experience: Once I was forty four, my usual Pilates, yoga, and cardio workouts weren't achieving the results that I wanted. How lucky I was to find Coach T and TGA! It is the hardest I've ever worked in my life, but I love it and the gains in strength and muscle that I've achieved over the last six months. Coach T focuses on all aspects of training, mobility, strength, and the accessory work needed so everything is in place for you to be the strongest, fittest version of you. Coach T is an incredible resource for better health and fitness. She shares her wealth of knowledge with us so we can make changes outside the gym to support our training efforts in the gym.

Fantastic experience: Training Ground Athletic is unlike any other fitness experience you'll find! The customized programming is designed to help you meet your goals and Coach T genuinely is invested in your success. Training here helped me build more muscle mass (and decrease fat) than I've ever experienced. The team environment is also something really special. You'll feel like everyone is cheering you on and wants to see you crush your goals. It definitely helped push me beyond what I thought I could do! Now I'm in NYC and at a complete loss! Take advantage of the opportunity to train at TGA!

Fantastic experience: Ever since joining TGA, i have noticed a huge difference in my body and my strength levels. It has helped to stay strict and on track with not only my workouts but to stay motivated to eat healthy as well. Coach T has been an amazing resource to help me reach my goals and has continued to support me throughout this process and my journey. The classes are always fun, different, and i'm actually excited to go workout now!!
