Our comment from FitFit United States about Lozada Physical Fitness Center:

Welcome to Lozada Physical Fitness Center, a well-rounded gym located at Fort Campbell, designed to meet the diverse fitness needs of our community. The center offers 24/7 access for registered users, allowing you the flexibility to work out at your convenience. Many users appreciate the friendly staff who are dedicated to maintaining a positive atmosphere.

One of the highlights of the gym is its cleanliness and the efficient janitorial staff. The facility encompasses a variety of equipment to support both weight lifting and cardio workouts, making it suitable for a range of fitness enthusiasts. Users have mentioned that it is never too crowded, except during peak hours, allowing for a comfortable workout experience.

However, some areas for improvement have been noted. A number of users highlighted the need for equipment upgrades as several machines are outdated and could benefit from refurbishment. The ventilation system has also been criticized, particularly in the weight room, which can become uncomfortably warm. Additionally, there have been concerns regarding the registration process and the limited availability of locker rooms after staff hours.

Despite these issues, many find Lozada Gym to be one of the better options available on post, especially for those focused on strength training. With its approachable vibe and various facilities—including a racquetball court—it's an excellent spot for both soldiers and their families to stay active.

Positive experience: My favorite gym on post! It's hours of operation are very limited, mostly in terms of the gymnasium and sauna, definitely a morning gym. Great equipment!

David Dixon 4 months ago

Fantastic experience: Nice gym! Staff was very friendly!

K Alvarez 4 months ago

Fantastic experience: Fitness equipment clean working order. Well sanitized bathrooms and shower rooms. Wonderful sizzling sauna - co ed. The best part of this gym is open 24/7. When everything else is closed over the holidays and have no where else to go - one can get in a great workout. Thank you Ft. Campbell and LPFC.

Fantastic experience: Love this gym and the fact that it’s 24 hours. I just wish the sauna was available 24 hours

Angelica Henegan 10 months ago

Positive experience: I actually like this gym. It’s small, old and straight to the point. They don’t have a scale..that’s odd. The front desk lady(older African American) is very ghetto and rude. The first time I was unaware I had to scan my CAC even if I was with my husband bc there has NEVER been anyone there any other time we went. No problem went home got my CAC and came back. Today I came in CAC ready scanned and she yelled out your husband needs to scan his card, I stopped him, he’s a soldier so he asked simply if he had to register and she got loud pointed to the sign and said 100% check in..okay cool that’s the policy. She then said LOUDER to my husband, yall do this EVERY TIME..we only seen her twice ..still we stayed civil.. checked in and walked off she continued to say loudly to other soldiers at the desk and the other desk attendant THEY DO THIS EVERYTIME, I always tell them check every time..like lady relax and be professional. It was never a moment where she had to get loud or continue to gossip and be loud about patrons. Very unprofessional.

Positive experience: Perfect for a quick workout. It does have a jail, confined creepy feel to it. Quite gym when accessed after hours. Multiple parking options.

Fantastic experience: Edit: April 2025, They brought in a whole bunch of really nice new Hammer Strength machines for just about every muscle group. If you had a favorite machine in the gym don't worry because they somehow managed to keep all the old machines, add the new ones and still keep the weight room from feeling overly cramped. Now there's hardly any wait on anything even when the gym is busy. Anyway I needed to update my review, but this is still my favorite gym as far as having a serious atmosphere, good location and 24/7 access. It can get warm in there, both in the cardio room and the weight room. The locker room isn't locked anymore after hours. The scanner has always worked for me over the last 2 year (not saying it never breaks but it has always worked when I've gone). The sauna does close when the staff leave at 1330. The gym doesn't have the latest stuff and isn't the newest, in fact I first used it back in 2002 when I was first stationed here, but you can get a good workout every time and if you've gone in and registered your ID card, you can go in anytime, 24/7. It can get busy, but I've never had to wait to get on a cardio machine. There are lots of free weights and machines and best of all I've rarely seen any broken equipment so having to wait around is pretty rare. I've never used the sauna or racket ball courts, but they seem to be in good shape and available. Unless you have some very specialized exercises that you can't do here, it will get the job done. The staff is there weekdays in the morning and were friendly when I went in to do the paperwork to register to use the gym after hours.

Negative experience: I am new here, tried to get into your gym, apparently you have to scan your ID card and be registered. I did try to get somebody on the phone but I got no answer. Just a thought, why don't we have the doors open during normal business hours or have this on your website that you need to register before you can use it. Shocker right

Craig Cowell 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: I haven’t tried all of the gyms on Ft. Campbell, but Lozada Gym has everything that you need. If you register at the desk with your ID, you can have 24 hour access. It’s only truly busy times are during PT hours when it’s raining, otherwise, it’s never too crowded. The janitorial staff that work there are pleasant and hard workers.

Positive experience: The bathrooms were amazing!! No staff during what should be "business hours"

Fantastic experience: One of the better gyms on post

Eternal Zandikar 1 year ago

Negative experience: Equipment always broken. Got new leathers only to have them staple it over the old, only to have the staples come out. Employees leave at 1300. Few spaces to put your stuff unless you want to pay for a locker. A lot of times the scanner doesn't work. Gym refuses to get equipment, even though it's the one gym most used on Post. Need more treadmills and general weight quipment.

Eliaza Holokahi 1 year ago

Positive experience: decent to do get a little workout in..not too crowded. but the weight room equipment could use a massive upgrade. everything squeaks.

Negative experience: Their scanner wasn't working when I tried to scan in at 0500. I already signed up prior and was working fine before

DJ RELL 2 years ago

Negative experience: This gym is trash. It's the only 24 hour gym on base and they lock the locker rooms at 1330.

Dulce Figueroa-Cifuentes 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Love the quality and the fact I can go whenever I want to workout with just my CAC.

Fantastic experience: This gym is solid. It could use some TLC in some places. Otherwise, it's dope

J Valencia 2 years ago

Positive experience: Well rounded gym. Free weight area is a little cramped but overall great gym. Must be registered to enter, so active/valid ID holders.

Cookie Cookie 2 years ago

Positive experience: I love the dungeon old school feel to this gym. The smell is well..... Rough. Not knocking a star for that though. What I am knocking is the scanner. That thing is evil and refuses to work. Everyone hating on this place smh

Josh 2 years ago

Negative experience: Disgusting and dirty. Has an old sock smell. Half the lifting equipment is either rusted, broken, or rusted AND broken. Dumbbells and plates are unorganized. The 24hr access should be allocated to a facility with modern and servicable equipment. This gym is not what soldier deserve

Michael Mastromatto 2 years ago

Positive experience: Run down. Needs renovation. I’m happy to see that they’ve opened the male and female locker rooms back up during non-operational hours.

William Michael 2 years ago

Positive experience: The weight room and cardio room is fine. Has what you need for an effective workout. Biggest complaints are the lack of ventilation, locker rooms close at 1330 during staffed hours so everyone uses one rest room outside of 0630 to 1330, and the scanner sometimes works on the weekend.

Cydney D 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Love this gym. So familiar and keeps me motivated to workout. Thinking back on my army days. Not too big and crowded. It’s nice and cozy.

Alfredo Flores Flores 3 years ago

Negative experience: Very rude people at the front desk. They do not have common sense.

joseph Frank 3 years ago

Negative experience: Equipment is super old but the 24 hr access is the only great thing about this place.

Savannah Faulkner 3 years ago

Negative experience: The fact that you have to register and re register your CAC over and over again and the sauna and certain facilities are closes a majority of the time and inconvenient. The layout of the gym is kinda weird as well.

dan 3 years ago

Negative experience: This place is an embarrassment to the fort Campbell community AND MWR. If MWR didn’t run a monopoly on post maybe they’d start to begin caring about their facilities. I guarantee that if just ONE private gym opened on post, NOBODY would go to these trash bins. It’s already overly embarrassing to see the amount of service members who prefer to workout off post and not in the embarrassing gyms provided by the MWR. Lozado gym was used as a leverage piece to force service members to get the COVID 19 vaccine. Everybody has always wanted a 24 hour gym - what a perfect time to make one (only when they have something to gain). Since then, the gym has been totally and completely neglected. Much of the equipment is far past it’s prime. A lot of the equipment is broken. If it isn’t broken it’s very noticeably ABOUT to break. But this would never be noticed because the staff and MWR only cares when something is blatantly wrong. The weight numbers are scratched off weight stacks (who knows how much your lifting? Just guess). The pulley systems on an entire cable machine barely work. hammer strength machines could be easily saved from breaking but they don’t replace parts or monitor equipment serviceability at all. The place is also FILTHY. Don’t think so? Workout there, use 4 different pieces of equipment for a exercise routine. I wash my hands everyday after I workout and a slurry of red and brown filth flows into the sinks. Also - this may be a 24 hour gym but that doesn’t mean that they can completely neglect customer service. They stop manning it at 1330? Cut me a break. Anytime fitness and any other leading 24 hour gyms are staffed 9-4pm or 5pm. These guys just split at 1330, “lol whatever”. The biggest slap in the face yet is them closing the bathrooms when they leave. I guess it’s too hard to clean? Or something? What an absolute joke and it represents a clear message to me “we don’t care about you”. Now everyone needs to use one big, awkward bathroom in front ? “Just lock the door behind you”… how creepy and inconvenient. The whole point of a 24 hour gym is to have a facility that can help service members who work different shifts get ready for their day. Why can’t service members shower anymore? Have somewhere to get changed ? Because MWR is too lazy and incompetent to staff this facility properly. So, the service members suffer. Additionally - they only hire people who’d NEVER be hired by a private gym. Check it out - if you’re too old or broken to reorganize the weight rack and fix the plates on weight trees and redistribute weights….. YOU SHOULDNT BE WORKING AT A GYM!! It’s up to the patrons to clean service and maintain this entire facility. Fort Campbell dangled the 24 hour facility in front of our faces like a carrot so we’d get vaccinated. Once the COVID hype was over… they completely and utterly stopped caring and is just letting this place rot and letting service members who need a 24 hour gym suffer. Why? There’s nowhere else for them to go. MWR runs all of the on post gyms. Complete dictatorship. If you don’t like it ? Not their problem.

Sarah Oliverio 3 years ago

Positive experience: Gym is ok- but my biggest complaint is the lack of air conditioning in the weight room. It’s like a straight sauna in there. They have fans which do nothing, pretty frustrating. Aside from that, half of the cardio equipment is out of commission. Decent though in terms of weights and some machines. First gym I’ve been to without rope attachments for the pull down cables- thinking of getting some of my own to bring with me lol out of all the gyms on post, this is still the go to for my husband and I good for weight lifters and strength training

Negative experience: The weight room is hot like a sauna and has a strong mildew musty smell. This is a good gym for playing basketball, and for the ones who use the cardio machines, but not for lifting weights. Olive gym is much better, bigger selection of equipment and a few blocks down the street.

Positive experience: (Downsides: Closed on Saturday and co-ed sauna which never works). The staff ALWAYS cleans the facility. Never have seen it dirty.
