Fantastic experience: They could use another squat cage, but other than that have never had to wait for a piece of equipment. Always clean and staff are great. Worth more than the price if you go 5-6 days a week like me and do classes as well.

Fantastic experience: Love that they have a collab with GVSU so I can go per semester for a little cheaper, I only wish they were open Sunday and also later hours. It's always packed but its okay.

Positive experience: I simply love this place in downtown Grand rapids. I could swim or ride their bikes all day long 24 today 7 days a week. I'm not embarrassed to say that I'm a larger person but I did not feel down upon which is unusual considering most people do that. Anyway I love swimming and like I said and except for the price of it I would be a member for life. But I'm a disabled social security recipient and I can't afford what they charge a month even at a discount I think their lowest price is $52 a month. At any rate if you can afford it go and have a good time swim all you want so you can't swim anymore I love it

Fantastic experience: I've been going to this gym for three years. It's a big space with all the machines and equipment one may need. I've always felt comfortable there as a woman exercising solo.

Positive experience: New to the area , 1st impressions nice clean fit gym, a temple to the fit!

Fantastic experience: Best place to workout and meet new people.Staff is friendly and helpful.The ones who complain about a crack on the floor..Well,every place needs maintenance and right now they are redoing some parts of the building.It requires some patience from our parts.I enjoy my Body Pump and Spinning classes with Jen.Thanks to everyone who works so hard there

Fantastic experience: Gotta love all these complaints on here nitpicking little things. "Oh no, the tile on the ground is cracked. Maybe I should give a 1 star review." So helpful. Nothing wrong with this gym. Have been going here for 5 years now. Only issue I have is the "dinner time" gym crowd when it is packed to the brim. Only time I can go during the weekdays, but I can adjust my training modalities around the crowd. The gym is clean. Equipment functions as it should. No problems here.

Fantastic experience: I'm very proud to have DDH YMCA as my local Y. I've been a member of the Y in Lansing, Battle Creek & Grand Rapids and have used YMCAs around the country and this particular one is the best I've come across. Friendly staff, a very diverse membership base of all ages, and tons of amenities. One of the largest weight rooms in the state (although it does get crowded throughout the day). To the people here complaining that they took away the unlimited towel service, note that is not a feature of most YMCAs. When DDH did have towels, people were often using 3+ towels per visit and they were left everywhere in the locker room. It's not difficult for people to bring their own towel from home and it cuts down on waste.
