Fountain View Recreation Center

The Fountain View Recreation Center is the Carol Stream Park District's main recreation center. It is 90,846 square feet and opened in September 2013. The center was funded by a referendum that was approved by the residents of the Carol Stream Park District in 2010. Construction for the center began in October 2012.

The center is home to Fountain View Fitness, which is Carol Stream's newest fitness facility. Membership includes access to the fitness center (which is 7500 square feet), the indoor running track, lap swim, fitness classes, aqua fitness classes, and open gym.

The Fountain View Recreation Center has an indoor track that can be used year-round by people with fitness memberships or track-only memberships. Carol Stream Park District residents can use the track for free during designated hours.

Fountain View has designated hours for leisure swimming that the whole family can enjoy, or you can buy a pool-only membership that gives you access to lap swimming lanes at any time the pool is open. The center also offers youth and adult swimming lessons, as well as a warm water pool.

The gymnasium at Fountain View has three basketball courts that can be converted to two high school size courts. The gymnasium is open for a variety of Open Gym sports, including basketball, at designated times. It’s the perfect space for your team practice or game.

Fountain View Recreation Center is the perfect place to host your next birthday party, reception, shower, or any other special occasion. With its stunning views of the lake, access to the outdoor patio, and state-of-the-art equipment, this venue has everything you need to make your event a success. Several package options and a variety of room choices are available to accommodate groups of 20-160 people. The rooms can also be rented for meetings and seminars.

The Western DuPage Special Recreation Association offers several programs for children, teens, and adults with special needs in their dedicated room at Fountain View.

The center has a geothermal heating/cooling system and permeable pavers in the parking lot, which makes it eligible for a grant from the Illinois Clean Energy Community Foundation (ICECF). The center is expected to be rated as a LEED silver building.
