Fantastic experience: As a primary cardio addict, I decided to join Iron Mine with the hopes of finally stepping out of my comfort zone. Strength training was mostly a foreign concept to me. I’d been a member at other various gyms, without ever branching out in my routine. There is definitely something to be said about the energy and overall community of Iron Mine that makes you want to become the better version of yourself. For the first time, I felt motivated by those around me to tap into my own strength and see what could possibly come of it. As a female, you will NOT feel intimidated here. You will, in fact, feel welcome and eager to see yourself grow. 24/7 access and no hidden fees or hurdles is really rare! Take the leap, you wont regret it.

I have been a member for about 2 months and I am constantly in awe that such an amazing and uplifting community of gym members exist. Joe has done an amazing job of not only curating a great selection of equipment but has truly made his gym a place members can feel comfortable and welcome in. Coming in each day has been a highlight of moving to the area.

I have the graveyard membership so not a lot of traffic, but the people are nice, everyone actually wipes down equipment & reracks their weights. Fantastic experience: I finally visited this gym after seeing it on IG for a long while. Went in on Veterans weekend 2023 and was sold. They have everything I need and some stuff I am barely learning to use. The staff are like brothers. The will help you anyway you need. Owner now has his own line of Prework and it's good. And they just upgraded all the plates. Tons of improvements daily it seems. The other members are friendly and funny. I always leave with a great pump and a few hand shakes and high fives. Definitely worth a day, week or full on membership.

You’ll find equipment here that you won’t find in your typical commercial gyms, the community is great, everyone is respectful, weights are always put away, it’s open 24/7, plays good tunes all day and night, and the vibe is great. I’ve been trying to go this gym for a while, but I was never close enough until recently and I must say it was worth the wait. I’ve done xsport, la, anytime and nothing beats this one. No hassles, they don’t try to oversell you on anything, and the owner/ owners are great! What are you waiting for, stop in for a tour and I promise you’ll be signing up in no time!

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience at Iron Mine. Unfortunately, I moved out of the state. With that being said, Joe and his staff have been great. Always addressed issues and have made sure members are always happy. The members itself have been respectful and helpful. Joe really built a unique gym and environment. There is no gym like this one. Fantastic experience: I joined about 10 months ago and was a little intimidated, because I am an older female still trying to build strength, and thought I would feel like I don’t belong. The owner, Joe, took a lot of time out of his day to show me around- you can tell he’s proud of his business and cares about constantly improving the facility. It’s really a great vibe, people are polite, friendly and serious about their workouts. Some people have gone out of their way to be helpful, most people just mind their own business and grind, and no one has been rude, unkind or intimidating. Very impressive selection of equipment, a posing room, plus 3 gym dogs. Membership is straightforward- you pay the quoted price, no hidden fees, 24 hour access. Respectful filming is allowed.

Fantastic experience: When you first join Joe the owner takes the time to personally walk you through the facility and show you all the equipment and amenities. One key factor I love is that there is 24hr access for members with a fob and it has been nice being able to use the gym extremely early and avoid the crowd. I have to mention unfortunately I will not be in Chicago for a year due to the military, but Joe and the rest of iron mine staff were very helpful and worked with me. Not any gym takes the time for their members, over all I will miss this gym but I am definitely coming back once I’m back from military business.

Fantastic experience: I've gone to Iron Mine for 2 years, and no other gym can compare - this place is hands down the best-equipped, hardcore gym for anyone who considers themselves a serious lifter. The energy and space is great, and you can tell that Joe has a real passion for this gym and the community he's built. Unfortunately, I've moved away from the area and just can't make the commute anymore. One day I hope I can move back to the area just so that I can call this gym home again. Fantastic experience: I was visiting Chicago for the week and needed a gym. Joe was incredible! You can clearly see his passion for the community he has built and he is very hospitable. Joe was kind enough to show me around- I even had a few people come up to me and welcome me after. The community at this gym is nothing short of phenomenal and the equipment is impeccable. I have zero hesitation recommending this gym and will continue to come here anytime I find myself in the area. My only request is you get a Duffalo bar!! Maybe next time :)

All the members I’ve interacted with so far early in the morning are considerate and rerack their weights unlike other places I’ve been. The gym is very clean and orderly and there is even a drop off for meal prep delivery from people with a subscription. Overall I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a bodybuilding or weightlifting focused gym.

Fantastic experience: I have so many positive thoughts about this place I don’t know where to start. This is easily the best gym I’ve been to since I started working out in 2016. The community and staff are unmatched, truly feels like a big family. From the day I walked in seeking a membership I felt extremely welcomed. As a female it’s hard finding gyms where you feel respected and not stared at by creepy old dudes and I immediately noticed a difference in mentality here. Everyone has a mutual respect for one another, everyone reracks their weights/cleans equipment. They have some newer booty builder equipment that isn’t found many other places as well as a posing room! The ONLY reason I left was we due to relocation issues and I’m so upset I had to leave this gym has me contemplating an hour drive just to be back somewhere I feel happy calling home

Fantastic experience: A year ago I looking for a place to recover from a surgery and Iron Mine has been perfect for my goals.I’m definitely further in my recovery than I would have been if I stood in a commercial gym. The clientele treats it like a place to put in WORK, there’s a variety of machines and the gym is clean. They just got a bunch of new weights and their doggo Bo’ is a friggin sweetie. Fantastic experience: I've been an Iron Mine member since March of 2023 and have too many good things to say. The atmosphere is unmatched, everyone there just gets it. Members are respectful, clean up after themselves and best of all everyone is very nice. No judgment if you will. The equipment is top tier and a big plus is that this is a true 24/7 gym with key fob access. The staff genuinely cares about the gym and the well being of all the members. I've interacted with Mikey and Joe and they have both been great. The biggest investment one can make is on themselves and I can't imagine not coming here.

Fantastic experience: Iron Mine is a no-nonsense spot for a solid workout. I've been here for 7 weeks now, and the atmosphere is all about getting things done and pushing to improve. The equipment stays clean, and the temperature keeps you comfortable. There's a good variety of machines and weights, and I appreciate the new wall clamp for the landmine bar. The spacing near the cable machines in the first room can get a bit tight, especially during busy hours. It's not a major issue, just something to be aware of during prime time. The gym consistently makes changes, including adding more equipment and replacing old gear; any concerns about worn attachments or weights will likely be addressed promptly. Management is very open to feedback and conversations about improvements for the gym and each member's comfort.

Few items that stood out to me is the cleanliness of the facility, regular upkeep of equipment and strong adherence to gym etiquette. Seeing staff members like Adam or Joe walking around inspecting that all equipment is operating correctly and areas are clean of any debris are excellent visual queues that effectively communicate expectations to every member, fostering a culture where members are respectful of shared spaces. Everyone seems to be on the same page, promptly wiping down equipment and returning weights, creating a positive and considerate atmosphere. Only area of concern is how hot it will get inside during the warmer months. I enjoy working out in a colder environment when ever possible. I highly recommend Iron Mine to anyone looking for a clean, well-maintained gym that prioritizes adherence to gym etiquette. It's a testament to their commitment to providing an outstanding fitness environment

Fantastic experience: This is easily the BEST gym I have ever had the pleasure of going to. There is such a wide variety of equipment, all of it is very well maintained, and everybody I've seen here is super respectful and polite. If you're in the market for a new gym, I cannot recommend this place enough. Truthfully, it is one of my favorite places on the planet thanks to the amount of effort that Joe and the rest of the staff have put in to make it everything it is. I particularly have spoken with Adam quite a bit, and he has done a fantastic job of accommodating me and making it very, very easy to renew my membership whenever I happen to be in town. I only wish I could give 6 stars, absolutely incredible.

Fantastic experience: Ever since I made the switch from a corporate gym to Iron Mine, I’ve been so much more content with my workouts. Every machine is always available, everything is super clean, and no machines are broken. This is due to Adam and his amazing management skills. I always see him taking care of gym equipment and taking care of the gym members. He is an excellent part of the Iron Mine management and I hope to see him around more.

Fantastic experience: I just signed up today but this place is a gem. It took 20-30 minutes for the entire tour and membership process and I was off on my own for my first workout. I was there during “peak” time but there was plenty of room and almost no one doing chest on an international chest day (Monday). So it was perfect for me. I can tell I’m going to have a wonderful time here going forward. If you’re a bit tired of the commercial gym vibe, and want to see what a bodybuilding gym is like, you need to check this place out.

On one of my first visits I watched a group of members gathered around to cheer on another member on the their PR. I had never witness such camaraderie at a gym. This places is one huge family. Fantastic experience: Ive been going here ever since they opened the city back up, and I have loved it very much. I used to go to X-Sport and even though this may be smaller and not a big commercial gym, this is by far a million times better. Iron Mine is always organized and clean, the community is focused on working out and not wasting time so most of the time the equipment is available. Everyone is friendly and respectful, and to themselves. The gym is packed to the brim with amazing equipment of all kinds from new to old, and I appreciate the quickness to fix any broken machine. Thank you Joe and all iron mine employees for providing an awesome experience!

Fantastic experience: I love it here, I’d go everyday if my schedule would allow me. The owner just oozes passion and its reflected in the gym, even if it is a bit of a smaller gym it’s still jam-packed with every machine you would ever need. Excellent gym, can’t wait to go back. Fantastic experience: Instantly became my favorite gym! As someone who takes her weight lifting very seriously, I needed to find a gym over my summer break from college to continue working hard. Every gym I turned to was either so crowded that it was impossible to get a lift in, had frustrating staff, or was trying to rope me into a year long contract. I began losing hope pretty quickly. I finally made an appointment with iron mine and the moment walked in I knew I was signing up that day. It has the best atmosphere (no creepy men or judgmental people), was not over crowded (even around 5pm), and has staff that really seem to care and that are extremely helpful. It has all the equipment you could need and if things break they get them fixed as fast as possible. I am genuinely so sad to be leaving this gym and I would recommend it to absolutely everyone. Anytime I’m back in Chicago I plan to make it my goal to come back in for a lift.

It had everything and Joe works constantly to add more unique equipment and even an entire extra storefront. The membership is top notch and will keep you coming back. After the day pass I feel in love with the place within 30 mins or less the environment/atmosphere is so welcoming, very organized/clean, amazing taste in music, amazing machinery, and definitely brings your confidence out. Joe and the rest of his team did one hell of a job ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic experience: Textbook body building gym. Great environment with a large variety of equipment. Atmosphere is fantastic and everyone including the staff was very accommodating and friendly. If I was a Chicago native this would hands down be my go to gym, if you’re just stopping by the guest pass is 10 dollars and is a great deal.

When you need help with a spot, you could walk up to anyone and would willingly help you. Everything you need is here and you have the staffs full support when you’re here. Fantastic experience: I am so thankful I found this gym through my coach! The gym atmosphere is welcoming and the owner and staff are friendly and helpful. They have pretty much all the equipments you'll ever need. The members are also very friendly so you won't feel intimidated. Definitely better than commercial gyms!
