Fantastic experience: Family splash pass is a great deal - includes access to 5 outdoor pools during the summer, and year round it gets you into the open gyms and indoor pools - heated wellness pool available to kids on one side and adults on the other, deep diving well with drop off slides, lap pool, and on weekends family pool with wading area, toddler and big kid slides, and play water fountains

Fantastic experience: A great facility! There are so many fitness options here. The workout center is solid - lots of good machines, free weights, etc. The pools are pretty good. It would be nice to have a family pool with updated activities for children.

Negative experience: This gym is constantly closing early without notifying paying customers. You’ll call to see if they’re open with no answer, just to drive all the way there and see 4-5 employees sitting around not answering the phone. Also “closed” means the doors are still open and you can see people actively working out 45 minutes before the scheduled closing time. Hah

Negative experience: Me and my friends went to go play volleyball during their open courts, We did not get to play because the people formed their own “teams” when they got here, we decided to leave after staying for 15 minutes and asked for a refund considering that I payed 20 dollars to enter. The front desk explained that it is not possible to get a refund if I stayed for an hour or longer. Like I said before, 15 minutes later. Would not come back.

Negative experience: It’s crazy how they charge for walking track. Palatine has free for residents to walk. I thought it would be more kids friendly, but seems seniors friendly.

Positive experience: Pool is always a bit chilly. Great facility overall.

Fantastic experience: Brand new building. Amazing basketball courts (pickle ball and volley ball too). 4 indoor pools - kiddie splash, wellness 90 degrees, lap, and diving slides. Walking track and work out center. Well worth the visit.

Negative experience: Very nice place except for the men's locker. Anyone who was involved in the renovation of the men's locker room should never be allowed to make any decision ever again. It's horrible, and ruins the entire experience.

Fantastic experience: I attend classes 4 times a week and can not say enough about how GREAT Brandy is as a yoga instructor and Kim is for the WERQ Class. Brandy is professional, polite, experienced, knowledgeable and makes everything about yoga fantastic. Kim is an amazing dancer, gives appropriate queues and is enthusiastic and smiling at every class. Matt is a fantastic leader as the facility manager and listens to our compliments and concerns. I found my workout wonderland!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND ARC

Negative experience: The place is very nice, but an open pickleball needs limitations on the number of players. If 3 courts are available, it is very greedy to let 40 players in and make them pay. Double the available spots: 2x12=24 players maximum should get in. Otherwise, the waiting time for the next game is 30-40 minutes. Very unprofessional practice.

Positive experience: Saw a drain fly in the men's showers. Only complaint. The rest of the pool facilities are pristine and extremely well kept. Absolutely happy with my membership. Multiple pools to meet needs, there is a diving well and a lap pool kept at cooler temperatures, and an open pool at a warmer temperature, so you can swim in comfort.

Fantastic experience: Visited the pool with my children (11 and 1). They both enjoyed it very much. One of the staff members brought them some toys which was very kind and unexpected. We had a wonderful time. The locker room was very clean and tidy. The staff at the front desk were very kind and helpful.

Fantastic experience: I have a fitness pass which includes the fitness center, the track, and classes. I love the fitness center, it's never too busy and very clean. There's always room in the stretching areas and the locker rooms are pretty nice. I would choose this local gym over any of the big names!

I hope that this message doesn’t fall on deaf ears , and that truly something gets done about this though. I’ve been coming to the ARC center for about a month now , and every time I go to swim at 7pm there is nobody ever in the deep well pool . I am a diver , and you all offer Olympic level diving boards , and I desperately desire to be able to train my diving . However , the diving boards are only open from 4:30-6pm, and this is a time where there are a multitude of children at play, and a majority of adult are at work, making it impossible to dive at your Facility . It would truly be appreciated if you allowed 1 hour of driving practice for locals between 7pm-8pm . Just like you allow 4 sessions a day for deep swimming , please allow time for diving , even if it’s 6 or 7am . Just create a time .I understand it could be a staffing issue , but this is easily fixed with a quick swimming test , and a waiver . Please please please ARC. You spent so much on this facility. Allow local talent , and our soon to be drivers have a time when they can dive without disruption, it truly would be greatly appreciated. EDIT ::: DIVING BOARD was open this morning . See it while I was lifting this morning ARC, the people’s GYM !!!!!

Fantastic experience: Amazing place and very professional team.

Fantastic experience: We love coming here every winter to swim and make great family memories! As charter members when they reopened we got a new amazing facility to enjoy. There are three different pools with various classes and activities plus the walking track which overlooks the basketball courts. We can walk while our daughter enjoys open gym! We highly recommend this neighborhood gem.

Positive experience: This is a nicely maintained indoor games place

Negative experience: A beautiful facility, however, I was just visiting and tried to get a one day pass and they didn't allow it. You must be a member. They weren't screening their members for Covid when they came in tho. Two people came in and were allowed to walk right in and use the facilities with no temperature check or questions asked. What a dumb decision from a board of scared, fear mongering people. I'm so glad I don't live in Illinois like a caged animal and I still (somewhat) have my freedoms in Missouri.

Positive experience: This is a 3 star review simply because I haven't been there in nearly a year. I was just getting into the swing of a gym when COVID hit. It was a 5 star experience then. Will start back in a few weeks. Stay tuned.

Positive experience: Hi! I have a full Play Pass Membership to the AH Park District. I am in the senior population. I primarily go the ARC (Arlington Ridge Center) and use the Wellness Pool for an arthritis based exercise routine. The water is set at a temperature of 85 degrees +. This is wonderful on the joints especially for a pesky knee. I have been going about three times a week for close to a year now. I go in the early morning hours anywhere from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Monday through Friday. The facility is absolutely wonderful. I usually work out an hour, however, with Covid the times have been constantly changing to accommodate all the swimmers. Now it's the summer schedule, and all early morning hours for the wellness pool have been discontinued. This is very sad. Now the earliest one is able to get into the wellness pool is 12:15 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday (6/14 - 8/19). It appears on the schedule that Fridays (6/11 - 8/20) is available at 9:00 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. but the staff doesn't seem to be too sure about that. It appears that the Arlington Heights Ridge Center doesn't cater to the needs of the senior population during the summer months.

Fantastic experience: We recently visited ARC for the first time with my 6yo and 4yo sons. We had a great time enjoying basketball in the gym and walked around to view the other amenities this site has to offer. The staff were very friendly and helpful even when I locked my stuff in the locker and forgot the combo. The pool looked nice and we look forward to next time at this newly remodeled facility.

Fantastic experience: Took my Granddaughters there for open swim. We had a great time! The facility is awesome. The girls used the four pools. We had to drag them out of there . Great investment by the AHPD.

Fantastic experience: Huge gym. Nice size indoor track for running / walking. Several pools. 1 of the pools is heated. Gym has 2 full size basketball courts that can be divided into 4. Volleyball leagues play here. Basketball leagues. Options available all day for different group exercise classes.

Negative experience: You have to pay a yearly contract for the workout area. There should be more memberships if you wanted to try it out for a month. Not how gyms work.

Negative experience: The pools are fine but the new locker rooms are 10% of the size as the old ones. When classes get out there is not enough room for people to get changed. The person that signed off on this should be fired.

Positive experience: This place is nice. They advertise open gym but it is more like open basketball. We asked to have a villeyball net aet up but was told that in an hour pickle ball was going on so no one wanted to make the efforts for an hour. I always thought open gym was all sports.

Positive experience: Clean facility. Problem is the men's main locker room only has two showers. What happens when quite a few people take classes and wish to take a shower before going to work, Everyone take a number? Cost for Arlington heights tax payers should be reduced because our taxes paid for the facility.

Negative experience: Kudos for getting the place reopened on schedule, but the renovations to the existing lap pool and dive well area are very disappointing. Yes, a coat of paint and some new ladders are nice - but the same old tile floor, the same old leaky sauna, the same deteriorating diving boards, and the same unattractive metal bleachers - have stayed. You'd think those things would have been revamped as well during a multimillion-dollar renovation. Obviously not. Makes no sense. The warm water pool is fine, and warm, but I don't know how they're going to have classes in there. The HVAC is so incredibly loud, you can't hear yourself think. But by far the worst part of the renovation are the new locker rooms. I would say there are now at least 80% fewer lockers, only 5 showers, and no privacy whatsoever. This was not well thought out at all. Let's hope at least the low water pressure and water temperature fluctuation issues from the old showers have been remedied.

Negative experience: Went for the first time this weekend with husband & kids. Pretty clean but lacking in design plan. Child care room is tiny. Doesn't come anywhere near a match for the size of the facility! Also should include more care hours throughout the day. The women's locker room does not have a single baby changing table?? Does that even pass code? The floors around the pools are very slippery and not flat. I don't feel very comfortable carrying my one year old who isn't walking yet. There are no official weekly open swim times? I have been told "I don't know" by almost all of the staff. Or that there is "no schedule." The birthday party room is also way too small.
