Fantastic experience: This place 2 minutes from my house. I signed up 3 of my kids for the swimming classes today. Connie was super helpful and she answered tons of questions for me. It took about 15 to 20 minutes for the paperwork and payment. Im really excited for my kids to learn something new. I will see how it goes and i will update.

Positive experience: Hats off to this YMCA facility for there Youth Basketball Program! Jim, Chelsea and the staff do an excellent job organizing and providing an opportunity for Boys & Girls to Learn & Play the game of Basketball. Unfortunately there are a couple of parents (Jason Boles) who don’t seem to understand that this is a Game, it is about Fun, about Learning & Teaching the Basics, and it is about Safety and Sportsmanship. It is not about “win at all cost” or about “disrespecting the game & officials” That kind of immature behavior is unacceptable and it has No Place in any Youth Sports. It sets a very poor example to Kids, Players and Parents attending the games. *It is too bad that you feel the need to bad mouth this outstanding YMCA program for boys & girls. But I am very happy to hear that you will be taking your self serving, immature attitude elsewhere, and you will not be returning to our program. Respectfully yours, James/A Basketball Official

Fantastic experience: The staff is always friendly and ensure that all my needs are met while in and around the facility. They offer great fitness classes and have summer camps for the youth that help to grow their skills. The membership prices are reasonable and the membership gives you access to all different kinds of neat programs.

Fantastic experience: I am a member of the Stanley County Y in Albemarle, NC. I absolutely Love my YMCA,, I have been spending alot of time in Archdale the past several months, so therefore I've spent alot of time at your YMCA and I must say everyone that's works there has been so friendly and helpful. A couple of the girls that work the front desk even know me by name(since I've checked in so much). Anyway I just want to let you know how much I appreciate your hard work and for welcoming me into your Facility. Alot of times it's the only time I get out. Great Job Folks!!

Fantastic experience: Great gym. They have a child center for kids while you work out. Awesome family sports. Great after school functions for kids. Every so often they'll have kids functions for parent's night out and even overnight stays. Avery Simmons is the Child Care Director and I think he's doing a great service to not only the parents but to the kids as well.

Positive experience: Nice facility. Very friendly staff. I feel like I was ripped off. There's a fee when you join, and then an annual fee. I joined at the end of November. Mid-December I received a mailer that they were increasing the price. I'm sure they knew the price was going up when I joined and I should have been told then. I already thought the price was high, but went with it because they offer child watch. Once they went up I couldn't afford to continue my membership, and therefore paid that membership fee for a month. The child watch is only available during peek hours, so the gym is crowded. I never had to wait for equipment, or saw anybody else waiting...a full gym just gets uncomfortable for me. Also, they don't take children to the potty or change diapers. My littles are 1 and 2, I never once made it through my workout without being interrupted because my kids needed something (Not much different from using the elliptical at home). My 2 y/o is potty trained, but is shy about asking to go and won't use a public toilet by herself. I was really interested in Zumba, but at the time there wasn't a class during child watch. So, if you don't mind the high price and either don't have kids, or have kids who use public bathrooms alone this is a great gym. It's just not right for us.
