Fantastic experience: This has been a great experience for my son! He is typically shy, but after getting into the swing of things, he has started to come out of his shell. He is standing up for himself and learning good skills in his “bullyproof” class. I have seen more confidence in him in other areas outside of class!

Fantastic experience: My three boys love it. The other kids were very helpful to show my boys what to do when they first started. The instructors are great with the kids. My middle son is diagnosed ODD, and this has helped him tremendously. My children now have the confidence to stand up against bullying.

Fantastic experience: So appreciative of Gracie Jiu-jitsu to teach my son to defend himself against bullies of all sizes! They teach escape techniques and submissions, never to throw a punch. Avoid a fight at all cost but to diffuse or escape a dangerous situation.

My daughter is extremely shy and the first day we went she had a breakdown and wanted to leave, Michael and Pyper were very patient with her and in no time my daughter was having a blast and making new friends! No kid is ever left out and everyone is made to feel empowered and included. They are so good with all the kids and are extremely helpful teaching everyone new moves. You will not be disappointed if you decide to bring your kids or signing yourself up! My daughter always looks forward to practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays and is learning so many good skills!

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend all children to join there classes along with adults. There is something to be said about not just the self defense from bullies but also to help teach and reinforce good and positive training with all children in a positive reinforcement to encourage participation in class and even out side the classroom. I look forward to each combatives class and I can't wait to enter Master Cycle. By far, the best martial arts school I have ever attended. I am now in master cycle and still love it.

Fantastic experience: This is a place where our family has found common ground and something we will always have together. My entire family trains at Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, Harrison. My children attend the Bully Proof program, where they are taught by Mike and Pyper. Mike teaches with patience and has a way of communicating with children. Pyper is a younger coach, but her maturity and skill are great examples for all. My wife and I are in the combatives class. The class is methodical and ensures you will know the basics of Jui-jitsu combative.

Fantastic experience: Our sons attend class here. They started at zero experience and only karate movie knowledge. They now practice what they've actually been taught and volunteer in class. This program is great for our boys because it is teaching life lessons along with introducing them to other friends. The instructors are informative and always very thorough. Our boys love to remind us how much they love Jiu-jitsu. We intend to keep them enrolled so they can progress as far as they can. This was our first visit and I felt like I’d been training with them for a long time. Never once did my daughter nor myself feel like we didn’t belong there. Fantastic experience: Other Jui-Jitsu gyms are too fast and can be overwhelming. At Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Harrison I am able to learn at a pace that allows me to actually learn the moves for life. Learning is the most important part of my Jui-Jitsu class, but I am glad to say I have made some life long friends. My children are in the Bullyproof program and have learned so much from Michael and Pyper. Michael is incredible with the kids and Pyper is such a good roll modle and teacher as well. Fantastic experience: I joined Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Harrison in the Gracie Combatives class with no previous martial arts experience. Everyone from the owners to the instructors to the other students were welcoming and encouraging as soon as I walked in the door. On your first day you are welcomed in, issued a gi (jacket, pants, and belt), given some initial tips, and you are ready to start learning. All the techniques are presented in a clear and easy-to-understand manner with an emphasis on safety, the most important parts of the technique, and some of the most common mistakes to avoid. I love the fact that you get the opportunity to learn with experienced as well as beginner students and everyone is working on the same techniques. This is the perfect place to learn Gracie Jiu-Jitsu: it's a safe, friendly, and constructive environment and anyone can learn here no matter your age, background, or physical abilities.

Fantastic experience: This is my home gym, I’ve trained with them for the last 6+ years. Super clean and friendly environment, great depth of knowledge, real-world practical self defense is at the forefront, but you’ll be exposed to sport techniques along the way. Training partners are supportive and create a safe place to train but still push you to improve and test yourself. Fantastic kids programs!!!!

Fantastic experience: Sometimes the fight picks you! Gracie jiu jitsu combatives offers a package of instruction that is methodical and surprisingly entertaining. All of that is available 24/7 and the live training is supported by a amazing staff to pull you out of bad habits. They are respectfull, knowledgeable, energetic and put as much effort into you as you give to jiu jitsu.

Fantastic experience: Love, love, LOVE this place! As a mother whose fitness level is solely based on twelve years of chasing and carrying little ones, it could have been really intimidating to join the combatives class with so many others having more core strength and skill. But the instructors make things super clear, step by step; the teammates respect and cheer each other on; and the whole experience is really empowering as I am learning skills that I can take with me and practice at home. And these skills are not just a bit of cardio or some fancy moves for sports competitions- they are practical, realistic self-defense skills that I can use without having to get to a certain strength or fitness level first. The big bonus is seeing my 4 oldest kids and my husband having fun every week learning these essential skills as well. Thank you, Mike and crew, for running such an amazing training center and giving such a warm welcome to our whole family. We're excited to be part of the Gracie Jiu Jitsu Harrison team!

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Harrison. My child has learned so much, but more importantly feels accepted and as part of a family there. The coaches are amazing and this is one place I feel my child is definitely safe. Also, the coaches do correct the children's behavior when it is needed and I greatly appreciate how they handle those moments! When we first inquired about the program we were allowed to watch while our child attended (at no cost) a few sessions to see if it was a good match for him (and a year later we are excited to say it was a great match for him!). So give it a try!

Lessons are presented with in-depth instruction, all questions welcomed, and time given to practice the slices with competent correction and encouragement provided. I've been to a fair number of schools over the years, and Gracie Jiu Jitsu of Harrison does a top-flight job of providing the knowledge and training necessary to become proficient in the critical life skill they teach - I advise everyone I know to become proficient in a combat art, and this school is as good of a source as you will find toward this end in the Boone County area.

Fantastic experience: All three of my children attend Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in Harrison. They absolutely love it. My middle son started over a year to help bring him out of his shell and to get him interested in something. His confidence level has grown so much since he started. A year later my daughter and youngest son started. My daughter was very quiet and shy, but now she speaks louder and is more confident in the things she does. My youngest enjoys it so much. His teacher has sent home many notes about how much of a leader he is and how respectful he is. Gracie Jiu-Jitsu has been the best thing for all three of my children. The instructors and the atmosphere is well structured and create a safe place for the children to learn and grow.

Fantastic experience: The Gracie Jiu Jitsu Harrison family is one of the best groups of people I have ever been associated with. Everyone from the instructors to the students truly cares about providing an excellent learning environment. Even though you are learning a martial art, the teaching style allows it to be learned in a safe manner. I would highly recommend trying out a class whether you have previous experience or have never trained in a martial art before.

Fantastic experience: This place is great. Our daughter has learned so much, and become more confident in her ability to protect herself. The training is well done, big moves come from small steps and they are all done well. Kids and adults are training together, and they train to your ability.

Fantastic experience: Both of our boys (ages 5 and 10) have absolutely flourished in the Bullyproof class. I tell people it’s good for the bullied and the bullies too. Teaches respectful but firm ways to stop bullying. The teachers are experienced, passionate, and dedicated. I’ve recommended this class to at least a dozen friends with kids of all ages.

Instructors are superb, with passion to share their knowledge and help growth on and off the mat. The facility is very neat and clean. Fantastic experience: Our kiddo (age 6) loves coming to Jiu Jitsu. We’re so impressed how Michael works with the kids on skills like citizenship, sharing, and manners. We visited another studio and had a completely different experience. It is great that they allow you to visit a class before committing to attending class regularly. Fantastic experience: This jiu-jitsu center is top notch!!! Michael the owner, and all the other coaches are amazing!!! I wish there were more than 5 stars possible as they deserve so much more!! We enrolled our 3 children (daughter 16, son 14, and son 12) a little over a year ago. We wanted them to learn a skill that they could take with them into adulthood that could be used to protect themselves and their families. What we got is so much more than that. They have been blessed with an additional family that not only cares about their jiu-jitsu skills, but they care about them personally. They push our children to have good characters, be disciplined, and to be welcoming to all children that walk through the doors. I see the care for each child that enters their school, and I've been impressed over and over by their firm discipline, yet gentle love for all the children. Our two older children are in the adult class now and it is the same in there as well...the way each coach has invested in them, and even pressed them at times has made such a difference in their lives. They are more confident and secure in who they are and for that we are forever grateful to each coach!!! We are blessed to be a part of the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Harrison Family!!!! Come and try them out you will never regret it!!!!
