Positive experience: New member to The YMCA family. In the past, I've always worked out at large Gyms with tons of equipment. This facility provides enough of equipment and amenities to get a good workout. Depending on your goals, you should be able to use what they have. I was able to switch from one location to McArthur. This location has an outdoor pool, and a basketball court. Since I'm now over age 65, this facility is working out. As a former Bodybuilder, I was excited to discover a couple of pieces of equipment that my former location did not have. The workout floor with weights, is not really big, but not too crowded. I found that early afternoon is a time where it is not too busy. People are friendly. Staff could probably be more engaging. Overall, good experience.

Fantastic experience: I was welcomed in a very friendly way, the classes offered we’re challenging but very attainable. The YMCA on Fernandina Beach is refreshingly clean and well maintained,the variety of class offerings are at the perfect times in the morning. The instructors are helpful and dedicated overall I’m so thankful for this place it has really turned me around in such a great way !

Positive experience: They were very friendly, knowledgeable & super helpful while I was signing up as a new member. The amenities, options and classes were all explained. The suggestions I would advise would be always sharing their web address to answer additional questions. Maybe offering a guided walking tour or again if it's online... I'm happy & content with what I received so far. Will update review once I've spent some time there

Fantastic experience: If I could give this place more stars I would. The gym and basketball court are amazing, but that doesn’t even compare to the customer service. I had a YMCA membership earlier, but I had to cancel. I recently re-upped my membership and I do not regret that decision. There was a slight confusion regarding my membership when I came back but Stephanie and Melissa were extremely helpful and resolved it with haste and efficiency. Those two people are one of the many facets that make this gym special. I would highly recommend this place to anyone else, especially because of the wonderful assistance that I got from both Stephanie and Melissa. Everyone here is extremely kind of willing to go above and behind to help out; from Rob to every other worker, this is truly a great establishment.

Fantastic experience: Simply a great gym. Well stocked with with free weights, weight machines, and aerobic equipment, and a heated pool. The best feature, though, is the wide selection of classes available for all levels of fitness.
