Leisure World Health Club

Fantastic experience: I have been a member for a few years on going now. I did quit once but found this gym to be the best for me, based on location, variation of workouts this place is set up for, indoor pool, location that offer me the option to run outside as well as the many machines, people are great [both staff and the members alike]. In other words, I Like This Gym.

Fantastic experience: Best price for a family membership to a gym. They have an indoor pool for lap swimming too.

Positive experience: I wish this private gym had better social media management so that people could be informed of changes in hours or openings. It would be much more convenient than having to check the door for signs.

Fantastic experience: The hot tub and pool is extremely useful for those recovering from injury, or starting to exercise again after being physically inactive for a long period of time. We can all float here.

Fantastic experience: Great place. Freeweight room has everything you need, although it could use perhaps an extra power rack. The owner is also very nice and continues to invest in maintaining/improving the establishment. Edit: Been going here for years, all the employees are very nice and there is a great community overall at the gym.

One told me that 7-up was invented in Illinois, which I did not previously know. Fantastic experience: I just wanted to give a shout out to a lady (Pam) who holds the boot camp class on Thuesday mornings. You have really changed my perspective of how training should be done! I will be asking off for her class which is held from 8am-10 am. Her strategy is to get there around that time, no set time....she will lead you through a complete wirkout. Very professional and the stations she has set up eill have you challenged. you are awesome! Thanks, Jennifer

Fantastic experience: Very clean lots of equipment and I love the pool and the sauna as well as the hot tub which are finally opened they offer a bunch of classes all Included with your membership they do offer tanning im not sure of the price though great family atmosphere and i love that its family owned and they work there mark and his son are very knowledgeable and can answer any questions you may have and the price is perfect too

Fantastic experience: Two years ago I was in the darkest time of my life. I was searching for a purpose in something, but nothing worked. Not school, not drugs, not my girlfriend; I even did alcohol, but that just left me even more lonely. After that I thought I’d branch out, so I got involved in a Jamaican dog fighting circle, but I soon learned that was bad news. I was lost. But it was in the pit of despair that I found the thing that changed my life forever. I found leisure world health club. I started coming here every day and my life has turned around since then. The employees at this organization gave me confidence about my lackluster calves and my micro forearms which gave me the motivation to ask out the girl of my dreams. She is my now soon to be wife. Fantastic experience: Immediately upon entry I noticed that the buisness owners truly went above and beyond to be very nit picky and make sure every detail of the gym was attended too. On top of that, the staff truly demonstrates and rubs off a warm and positive attitude. The gym is always clean, never fully packed, and has everything you could ever need in a gym. P.S the baddest girls go to leisure world health club.

Positive experience: This place is great for the price. The only downside is that there is no child care on weekends, which is a huge issue for me. Additionally, there is only one tanning bed and no options to buy lotion or goggles. If they are advertising a tanning bed, they should have lotion available for purchase. Furthermore, the person at the front desk couldn't break a $100 bill, which is really unprofessional. How am I supposed to pay if they don't have the right change? Other than that, I love the atmosphere; the people are not pushy at all. It's a relaxed, low-key place. I really liked the owner; he was really friendly!

Positive experience: If I lived near this place, I would definitely get a membership. The staff member I encountered was so friendly and welcoming. There was enough equipment to target any muscle group. The sauna and whirlpool were amazing additions to the workout. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Fantastic experience: A very friendly atmosphere, with a plethora of gym machines. An entire room dedicated to free weights, an indoor swimming pool, whirlpool, sauna, and a variety of classes for everyone!!! My entire family loves coming to work out or have fun during open swim!! Did I mention for a family of four we only pay $35/mo? That's for everything mentioned above!!!

Fantastic experience: Great place! Not overly busy. In the process of updating facilities. They offer great classes and before covid they had a nursery that my daughter loved visiting while I got my gym on!

Fantastic experience: This is a family I oriented gym. Aerobic classes are included in your monthly fee which is very reasonable. The owner Mark is a very good man and his staff is very professional.

Fantastic experience: Great place to work out. The place has a indoor pool, men and women's locker room, free weights, and machines to work out on. The place has an up stairs exercise room with workout machines and a large room for aerobics. I have Silver Sneakers thru my insurance company so I go very often and use the machines to get my exercise. The stationary bicycles and treadmills and some of the other machines have cable TV screens so you can watch various programs while you work out. The atmosphere is very pleasant and relaxing. I really enjoy my time there. The people who work there are very friendly and will help you with any questions that you would have about membership.

Fantastic experience: Just joined here recently. Very friendly staff that was willing to sit down with me and answer any questions I had before joining. The quantity of equipment and exercise options is more than enough. I also noticed Very clean locker rooms. overall, great atmosphere. The price for a monthly membership is well worth everything that it has to offer (pool, aerobic classes, sauna, great exercise equipment) and the super friendly staff. Would highly recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: Been a member of Leisure World for the last 3 and have had tremendous success. I’ve lost over 75 pounds and feel great about myself. The cardio equipment is always kept up nicely and the staff is friendly. Can’t wait to keep going to reach my goal! Only 60 more pounds to go!

Fantastic experience: I've paid to use Leisure World Facilities since 1984 off and on. Mostly on. I started in their Belleville location and when we moved to Collinsville, I joined there. The facilities are clean, constantly updated and reasonable for what you get. They definitely invest to keep their business up. For an individual it's around a dollar a day, for families, it's more reasonable per individual. I've joined Club Fitness, Planet Fitness and Golds Gym. Leisure World is equal to Golds as far as equipment. You just don't have to try to impress at leisure World, no body cares and everyone will lend a hand if you need it. it really is the best place to get in shape or stay in shape in the Metro East.

Fantastic experience: Good assortment of exercise machines. Free weight room. 2 cardio areas (bikes, ellipticals, treadmills) with TV's and headphone jacks. Full size lap pool where you can swim or walk the laps. (Does not have a deep end for diving). Men's and women's locker rooms have sauna and whirlpool near the showers. Facility also offers 2 tanning beds and has a child care room (staffed). Owner has been upgrading the facilities, where the appearance is nice and clean. Over the past several months I have been to several different fitness clubs and I feel leisure world has the most to offer for me.

Fantastic experience: Leisure World has the latest fitness machines, exercise classes such as power yoga and kick boxing, and an olympic sized pool. This gym has helped me reach my fitness goals! The staff is incredibly friendly and encouraging.

Fantastic experience: Mark, Jimmy and the whole staff always give a friendly welcome when I come in. The equipment is up to date and the pool is recently painted. You can see from the street the new lighted sign.

Fantastic experience: Awesome gym never overcrowded. Staff is always pleasant. They have hot tubs in both locker rooms, including saunas. Plenty of machines to exercise on both upstairs and downstairs.
