Designer Bodies 'WORLD CLASS GYM'

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been here for about a month and I cannot say anything bad. It has been such a great experience! Never have to fight crowds for machines, all machines are HIGH quality (e.g., Arsenal Strength), all members I have encountered are in there to work and never are just in the way like you see at commercial gyms. Dwain is a pool of knowledge and Simon/other staff are very friendly. Being around such a high caliber atmosphere makes you take your own workouts to the next level and I am already 10lbs down since signing up. It has been the best gym we have experienced and happy it is close to us!

Fantastic experience: Coming up on 9 months here, this facility has everything you need. The gym is clean all the time, there's always towels to take along with you. Everyone is respectful and there is never a need to watch your belongings. If it's not your nobody messes with it. There is always movement because everyone works in there. Never have to sit waiting for things to open plus he has multiple machines to do same exercises. My work offers a significant discount for some gyms. Unfortunately this is not one, however, I would still choose this gym so me and my son will continue to be part of this gym.

Fantastic experience: This is a great place to work out! I've worked out in many gyms over the years and I will say this is the most purely fitness oriented place I've subscribed to. Regardless of your experience level, or your goals Dwayne sees to it that you have a comfortable environment, a knowledgeable and skilled staff on site, and top notch equipment to help you along your journey. The gym is sometimes pretty busy, but never overcrowded and everyone is generally focused on their workout rather than making it a social hour that slows your routine! Their are some really impressive physiques here, but it's also very friendly to us average folks who just want to put in the effort, and in my experience those who are already in great shape are friendly and helpful to those who are new and finding our way. As I mentioned before, the equipment is top tier, and is always in perfect working condition and is clean and sanitized know matter how busy it is!!

Fantastic experience: If you’re serious about fitness goals, and don’t want to deal with the over crowded, unsanitary environments you find in bigger gyms, this place is a perfect fit. It’s meticulously clean and friendly, and they are stocked with awesome machines, drinks, and even healthy meals on the go. It really lives up to the name!

Fantastic experience: After training here, I can never go anywhere else! The gym is clean, the staff/ owner friendly and knowledgeable, and the equipment top notch! It’s never too crowded and rarely do I have to wait for machines. The gym and equipment are cleaned daily and you can tell the place is well cared for. The owner Dwain is extremely caring about his members and will answer any and all questions you have. Fantastic experience: Best Gym In ABQ! The Arsenal Strength Equipment is top tier and it’s semi private with a great training environment and never busy! the Cleanliness Of the gym is unmatched and it’s constantly and consistently cleaned.

Positive experience: The gym is a great place to lift with many varieties of equipment. The only reason for not giving five stars: 1) hours of operation are slim especially on the weekend 2) Personal training is not personal at all. The owner tries to work in with you during your session. At the same time he tries to run the gym. 3) Political propaganda should never be part of a business discussion especially on social media. Serious bodybuilders go here and it is a great environment for seasoned athletes.

Fantastic experience: No TVs make for the best gyms

Negative experience: I went to this gym and broke out in hives. The smell is terrible. I went to my allergist and he asked if I was exposed to any new cleaning products or detergents. I couldn’t think of any and then remembered the terrible smell at the gym. I reached out to the owner to ask which products they used and he assured me it was “all natural”. After speaking with other people, I learned that it’s Fabuloso. Fabuloso is horrible for respiratory health in and can cause issues as well as allergic reactions. It’s also not suitable as an antibacterial or antiviral. I’ve talked to other gym members and they had to stop going because of the smell. It’s so strong that it sticks to your clothes. Please consider using a scent sensitive product that also kills germs

Fantastic experience: Traveling from Australia to visit friends in NM I was so happy to find Designer Bodies in Corrales. "World Class Gym" is exactly right - incredible setup with all the very best equipment. Am incredibly thankful to Dwain and his team for being so welcoming. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: My wife and I absolutely love the Designer Bodies MRP chocolate meal replacement protein/recovery powder. The best formulation for a meal replacement drink I've found so far. It's great for on the go and it's loaded with scientifically backed ingredients. We both feel a boost of energy after consuming, and love the taste. Great product guys!

Fantastic experience: This gym has been a game changer in my life! Dwain’s nutrition program and approach to exercise facilitated a net loss of 30lb of body fat over a 4 month period during my program. Due to family obligations I have been out of the gym for the last 3.5 months, however I have been successful at maintaining the lifestyle and weight lost during my absence from the gym. I am excited to be back in town and able to resume training regularly. Oh by the way, I am 70 years of age and highly recommend Dwain’s expertise and Designer Bodies ‘World Class Gym’ to anyone my age who wants to regain quality of life and age gracefully.

Negative experience: Called to get some info on this gym and I was super excited and the man who answered the phone was very rude! “You need to go look at our reviews” do I message the person who wrote the review to tell me more information about the gym than the person who’s works there? I don’t understand.

Fantastic experience: This is by far the best gym I have ever been to. The owners are knowledgeable, professional and treat you like long time friends. The gym is meticulously clean and the equipment is state of the art. I highly recommend this gym.

Fantastic experience: I am working with Dwain on nutrition and personal training and it has been going great so far. He has made every effort to work with my physical therapist to help in my recovery and return to sports from an injury. I really love the atmosphere, the cleanliness and the friendliness of both the staff and other gym goers - everyone has a smile. I'm only a few weeks in, but I can already tell I've made improvements and will continue to trust in Dwain and the process!

Negative experience: We popped in to see what the Gym had to offer Me (69), and Hubby (77). The gym had every machine you could imagine, infact it, was quite crowded with machines. We were told it's mostly a body building gym. It was not busy, we saw 1 customer and 2 employees. This was around 11:45 am. The young man we talked to was very pleasant and recommended we go to another gym. Pssst, a little pricey. We will go back to our gym across town.

Negative experience: I probably would have signed up for this gym, but I never lock myself into a gym membership until I try out the facility. You never know what the crowd is like, how busy it is when you need to go etc. Dwayne, supposedly the owner answered when I called to ask if I can try the gym for a week. He tells me it's $15 per day or $50 for the week?? Really?? Seems like they're not worried about having dedicated members and just worried about stepping over dollars to pick up pennies. They would have made more letting me try the gym for a week and having me as a member for years since I just moved to ABQ. I'm not a New Years resolution type member. Oh well Defined and Chuze let me try theirs and this one actually seemed better because it's smaller. But I would never get a membership after being told I can pay $15 a day or $50 for the week. Guess the big corporate gyms win again.

Fantastic experience: WOW! I can't believe how amazing this gym is. Everything from the staff, culture, equipment, lighting, and water machine is amazing. I have never gotten such personalized, friendly service. I felt like I was part of the family from the second I walked in the door. I'm from out of town, so I was just getting a day pass, but I was treated like I owned the place. Completely blown away by my experience here. They have some of the best machines I've trained on. Fantastic experience: I've been through a couple gyms since I moved to Albuquerque, some good and then others didn't have what I was looking for. Designer bodies world class gym is the best gym I've ever been to. I've never been to a gym that had gym staff and the owner himself greet you and motivate you on a daily basis! Gym members are all super friendly! And the equipment they have is top notch compared to any of the gyms I've ever been to. The motivation and comradery is awesome! Designer bodies is like a second home to me and it's like being around family. It's never crowded which you never have to wait for a machine to be open (which is SUPER AWESOME!) and super clean. Fantastic experience: Ive been a professional in the fitness industry for 28 years now. And have been in almost every gym in New Mexico and I amazingly I am blown away by the quality of the equipment at Designer Bodies. The HOIST ROC IT strength line is like no other. The knowledge and professionalism of the staff is very personal and have been dedicated to my goals since day one. I have definitely found my gym home!

Fantastic experience: Price is right! Great atmoshpere! I love the new Hoist Roc.It machines that feel mechanically perfect on my old joints along with tons of free weights! I've been a member of most of the big players in town over the last 20 years and based on that I believe World Class Gym is the new big dog in town... By far the best gym in the Southwest!!!

Fantastic experience: My first experience was a joyous greeting by there front desk personnel. There was a selective amount of brand new equipment. One feature I really loved was the rocking motion on the machines....Great way to get full muscle extension. The people are nice and the owners are very helpful and customer friendly. Everyone there is well educated and greatly experienced in fitness and the concepts of bodybuilding. When I plan to compete I know, Designer Bodies is where I plan to go. :)

Fantastic experience: The Designer Bodies team is wonderful. They understand that the lifestyle they promote is a road that requires support and encouragement. Not only is that given well and without question. You will also be shown how to eat in order to feel better and have more energy. I was always surprised to see how much better I did in the gym every week. I went for 5 yrs and currently am not able to. However, once I'm able to return I will. Fantastic experience: Best gym in town! Great place to workout for novice to expert lifters. The equipment in the gym is top of the line! The Hoist machines are amazing and allow you to target specific muscle groups that most machines can't. They also have multiple squat racks and a deadlift platform. I hit leg day 2 or 3 times a week and there's no better place to do it than this gym.The owner Dwayne is there every day and is one of the nicest and most knowledgeable people. I was ecstatic to have finally found a gym that encourages lifting weights with a great atmosphere. After the first day I tried this gym I signed up for a membership and stopped going to Del Norte Sports and Wellness.

Fantastic experience: World Class Gym is a fantastic place to get your work out in! State of the art facility with brand new Hoist equipment! The staff if friendly and extremely knowledgable making a great place for anyone, from the novice beginner to the competitive fitness enthusiast. One of the big pluses is that its never too busy to get your work out in! Great family friendly environment and great hours too.

Fantastic experience: I switched from a bigger local franchise gym to World Class Gym in October. I am very, very happy with my decision. The equipment is literally top of the line. Most other gyms that I have been to here including Sports & Wellness, Defined Fitness and a few others have a lot of out dated or entry/low level type equipment. Not only do they have new edge equipment, the gym is ALWAYS clean and presentable. They do not care if you sound the "Lunk Alarm" as this isn't a fake gym. Make as much noise as you want, The staff is friendly and VERY knowledgeable. The membership is also set to a very respectable fee. Literally the best and only place to train legs. You will not survive a leg day here without gimping out of the place. Awesome gym.

Fantastic experience: We are new to town so I had spent time going into many of the 'big name' gyms. I am so glad we stubbled across Designer Bodies. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a warm personable welcome. James showed us through the gym and we decided to sign up right there and then. The owner came right out to meet us. The rates are incredibly affordable for what the gym offers. Perfect for power lifting and body building as there is such an array of equipment, it seems like you NEVER have to wait to use a machine. For the cardio-aholic, there are more then enough options with the stair climbers, ellipticals, bikes and treadmills. I would defiantly recommend this marvellous gym to anybody who doesn't want to follow the crowd into the big name gyms!

Fantastic experience: I just wanted to give a shout out to Dwayne, isaiah and simon. They are the absolute best. This gym has hands down the best equipment but what really drives it home is the environment and community, as someone on the spectrum, its extremely hard to find a comfortable place to workout. At most of the other gyms theres an air of underlying hostility and aggression that makes it hard to focus and remain undisturbed but at designer bodies the vibe is totally different. Everyone is kind there, people go out of their way to help and be cordial.most everyone is more than happy to let you work in on a piece of a equipment that they’re using and the staff is super knowledgeable.its also the cleanest gym ive ever seen. The bathrooms are always sparkling and the gym is always spotless. If you’re going anywhere else you’re wasting money. Designer bodies> anywhere else. -zach

But easily the best I've seen in my 30 years of lifting. Anywhere I've been in the country. The owner Dwain is hands down the most knowable gym owner I've ever met. It has a good mix of men and women of all shapes and sizes. It is deep rooted in fitness, family and fellowship. Respect your co-members and the equipment and you will feel right at home.

Fantastic experience: During a recent stay in ABQ I was so happy to find Designer Bodies- there aren’t many places like this left in the gym world- all the stuff you need, none of the fluff and stuff you don’t. Awesome collection of essential equipment and little extras like micro-plates and things you don’t find everywhere like a ghr and lat pull-over. And the people there are there to lift. Staff and members alike are super friendly- this place has a great laid-back vibe, and Dwain the owner couldn’t have been nicer. Local places like this clearly reflect a love for the sport of lifting. Loved my time there!
