Fantastic experience: Highly recommend the red light therapy from radiant recovery located upstairs in the gym. The room is nice and cozy and super relaxing. Stephanie was also very welcoming and explained the process and the benefits.

Positive experience: This gym has an attentive and helpful staff, everyone is friendly. The energy and atmosphere are solid and everyone there is to work out hard. They have a big selection of equipment and are never short on plates. They also have a private cardio theater and good classes. Only reason I’m rating it four stars is because the music they play is loud, bass-heavy rap that even with my noise canceling headphones on at full volume, I can still hear the gym music loudly through my headphones. I can’t listen to my own music and that is making me consider looking at other gyms. Other than that , great place with a strong community. If you are serious about lifting, it’s a good place to go to, and maybe the only place to go in the Flint area. Update: today the bass music was significantly lower volume. If it maintains this way, I will update the review to five stars.

Fantastic experience: I was visiting from out of town and did a drop in yoga class, it was amazing! The instructor, Amy, was wonderful and I really liked how she cued the class and kept it flowing.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been interested in taking a Boxing class and since I’ve heard nothing but good comments about The GYM I figured I’d chkout the class. I will also be looking to see what other classes they offer. Staff/Coach Josh was very welcoming from the time I arrived until the time I left.. I will definitely be goin back for more!

Positive experience: It took about 10 minutes for someone to come to the front desk to assist me and another patron who was there, but after that everything was great. I did an Extreme Hip Hop Step drop in and Feo genuinely cared about my safety and wellbeing. I already booked my next class and plan to keep coming when I'm able!

Fantastic experience: Great gym! This gym compliments all fitness levels from beginner to die hard gym rat. Stumbled on this place while visiting my family in Flint and considering the only gyms in the area is planet fitness and the YMCA it’s refreshing to be able to work out at a real gym. Great branding with the name too. Also the best part is that it’s very affordable for non members. It’s the worst traveling and there not a branch of your home gym where you travel and you have to pay a ridiculous day rate just to workout. The gym makes its all easy.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to this gym for about two years now, and I can honestly say it has been a life-changing experience. Before joining, I had never stepped foot into a gym, and I was initially quite intimidated. However, from the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with open arms by everyone—the front desk staff, the trainers, and even the members. The atmosphere is incredibly supportive, and it truly feels like one big family. What really sets this gym apart is the knowledge and dedication of the trainers. They not only provide expert guidance but also know exactly when to push me to reach the next level in my fitness journey. I have gained so much confidence and strength since I began. Exercise has become a priority in my life, and I feel so much better physically and mentally because of it. I’m incredibly grateful for this facility and the wonderful people who make it such a special place. If you’re looking for a welcoming, motivating environment to achieve your fitness goals, this gym is absolutely the place to be.

Fantastic experience: The Gym is a very welcoming place to workout, I highly recommend it, you can find all ages and fitness levels there. The staff is great and so is the equipment. I joined to combat the effects of treatment for prostate cancer, my trainer Todd has helped me greatly in this.

Fantastic experience: Found this gym while in town visiting family. Glad I did best gym I’ve ever been to. Vinnie came up and introduced himself and welcomed me. Everyone here was very welcoming. The gym was immaculate and super clean. Definitely will be back every time im in town visiting!!

Fantastic experience: Great gym for all! I was completely new to weight lifting and not sure about a lot of the equipment/workouts. So many of the members/staff were so helpful whenever I needed a hand. I was very intimidated at first but quickly warmed up to the kind people around me.

Fantastic experience: The people are friendly and non-judgmental. I I am extremely overweight and in pretty bad shape. The gym is conveniently located for me. I’d like the equipment they have to work on. I also tried a yoga class, which was very hard for me, but I will continue to pursue it.

Fantastic experience: I attend the yoga class session on Saturday morning (when I can) at The Gym. Amy is a good and experienced instructor. I am a member of Silver Sneakers which allows me to participate in this class. Thank you, "The Gym", for offering sessions for every level of physical fitness to be healthy, balanced and strong.

Negative experience: I just recently got a call from a debt collector $1250 for non payment. Last time I was aware the Cancellation was only $275 and was paid. Do not trust this gym. The Customer service is horrible and apparently People do not know how to do their job. I canceled because the gym is too small And overcrowded. Now I have to find receipts from February 2022

Fantastic experience: A solid gym! I used this gym while in town from Nashville for a few days and equipment was an older style (which I liked) and environment was definitely fit for gym rats or the novice. Good music in the background and friendly staff.

Fantastic experience: Have been attending the GYM FITNESS CENTER since August 2023and would like to give a “SHOUT OUT”, to VINNIE CANDELA, my Personal Trainer/ GYM FITNESS CENTER for the Great Job he’s done in helping me to get back on my feet. I can now put down my Cane, walk upright, go buy my own groceries, and, breathing better, lost weight and generally feel so much better. Started this journey at age 81 and soon to be 83 . Fantastic experience: I have been a member here for 2 years and love it. The staff is amazing and knowledgeable and helpful. I have also recieved personal weight training from the owner Vinnie, and he is awesome! I will never train with anyone else. The atmosphere is amazing and all the members are all fitness minded and great to work out with.

Positive experience: Staff and atmosphere were really nice here. It's just a really small gym. Not a lot of space to stretch. Grabbing plates off machines had to wait until others were done. Overall, highly recommended

Fantastic experience: I have only gone here a few times, but when I walked in, I felt like this was the gym I was supposed to go to. The young man that signed me up has been very helpful and he’s someone that listens to the members issues. Yes, I would definitely recommend this gym. The people there are friendly and just want to work out, and there has not been any rude or nasty people I have encountered. Everyone has been helpful and polite.

Fantastic experience: The hype is not a joke. The Gym is a favorite gym in Michigan. I am not a machine girl, so my favorite parts are the turf and the studio, you can use both! Everyone in here is so friendly; I've never been to a gym before where compliments are given to my workouts regularly. Hit up Vinnie or Vince, both are awesome guys who will get you in shape quick, and they have absolutely no lack in enthusiasm. If you're in the market for a gym, I say try this one for sure.

Fantastic experience: I started at the Gym in 2021. Talk about life changing. Vinnie spotted me came up and we had a great conversation and he invited me to consult with an trainer as I was making a huge lifestyle change after getting a few very hard medical diagnosis'. Fast forward to now I had to take over a year off due to complications with my pregnancy and post partum recovery. Due to the recovery I also suffered an injury. But now being cleared I returned. First day Vinnie came up to me and hugged me and said he was glad to see me. All anxiety about coming back without a trainer vanished. He said if you need help let me know but start off easy and he'll help if I ask. And honestly it meant ALOT. You don't just walk into any gym and get treated like family even after taking significant time off. But you will when you walk into The Gym. I look forward to finally getting back on track with my goals surrounded by my Gym family.

Fantastic experience: I have been working out and training with Vinnie at the Gym for the last 9 months. Over those 9 months I have lost over 25 lbs and gained so much self confidence. Vinnie does an amazing job making you feel great about yourself and motivating you to keep working hard. He pushes you each workout and helps give you a diet to follow as well. I enjoy working out now. It's the most welcoming environment. I would recommend Vinnie and The Gym to anyone looking to improve their health and get more active.

Negative experience: Ridiculously expensive, way too small of an area for the new location, and not great customer service. Not a very inclusive environment for anyone other than body builders and people who just want to take pics of themselves flexing in the mirror.. do not recommend and won’t be back.

Fantastic experience: This location in the plaza seemed more spacious to me, but this is an impressive gym. The work and dedication of Vinny, his clients, and trainers put in is chef's kiss.

Positive experience: This is where the big boys come to pick up heavy things and put them back down. Nice setup and still clean as it being a newer gym. Not my regular gym as it’s not in my normal travel route but will return when in the area.

Fantastic experience: My son River has been training 3-5 dyas a week with Vinnie in the football off season since he turned 13. He will not weight train anywhere else. He is faster, stronger, and disciplined on that field and in all of his other sports. Thank you to Vinnie! Go Creek!

Fantastic experience: TGFC is an open gym with trainers, yoga classes, and massage. But its crowning jewel is Feo Duncan, who teaches step class Thursday nights and strength training Saturday mornings. Every class is different and a little out of your comfort zone. He knows your body and what it can do, and all of us are so much stronger because of him.

Positive experience: Equipment is nice and clean. Only problem is how close the machines are together makes it difficult to navigate through the gym. Love the lighting room upstairs for posing.

Negative experience: I was a member of the Gym for 3 months up until recently. I cancelled my membership and the process was horrible. The customer experience and delivery was awful. I was met with hostility as soon as I entered the facility. I connected with the owner Jennifer to set up an appointment to only be met with the assistance manager Jourden. Who had no idea of what Jennifer and I discussed regarding the cancelation fee amount. After almost 45 minutes of negotiations and hassle it took to resolve Jennifer and Jourden miscommunication, I was able to cancel my membership. The communication and delivery of customer service was poorly executed. I hope that they are able to coordinate better in future.
