Negative experience: Got 3 separate charges this month. I certainly hope they’re going to reimburse customers for their frauds charges knowing they were transferring over to planet fitness. Btw I already have an account with PF that has been paid separately already. Why am I getting charged for the same gym twice? Horrible business, get it together..

Negative experience: My location at Abrams and Mockingbird closed over night with no warning at all. I'm VERY frustrated! Not only did I really enjoy my gym, the staff, and the equipment, but that gym had a great community. Unfortunately, since we didn't get any warning what so ever, I was unable to talk to any of my acquaintances at the gym to see where they might move to. I can tell you that our location had many serious regulars that will not be moving to Planet Fitness. Now I have to make a special trip to Planet Fitness to make sure my membership gets cancelled because I sure as hell didn't agree to that transition. I really don't see a benefited in not telling your members what's happening. Do they really expect people to just heard over to P.F. like a bunch of thoughtless sheep. I can only hope that the staff at my TFF was taken on by Planet Fitness and not kick into the cold right before Christmas. They were all great and wouldn't deserve that. If so the owners of TFF should be ashamed of themselves.

Negative experience: If there was ever a sign from the universe to move gyms, this is it. A "judgment free zone" with a "lunk alarm" is a cesspool of hypocrisy.

Negative experience: Very unprofessional to merge to Planet fitness. Many employees left without jobs & so many customers left stunt without a notice. The Texas I went to was so close for you guys to move further? Unprofessional!! I really did enjoy this gym because It was so easy to find weights & machines that actually help you fit a full workout. I will be canceling my membership.

Negative experience: While it was Texas Family Fitness it was good, but the transition to Planet Fitness was a train wreck. They gave no notice of the change in advance, and then cancelled all the group exercise classes and child care with nothing but an email that came AFTER the morning classes were already supposed to have started.

Negative experience: Texas family fitness is the biggest scam!!! The GM will lie to you, tell you that you will only be charged for such a such amount only to be charged more than what was previously discussed. Almost 30 bucks more. When I found out, I called and spoke with the GM and explained I was over charged. He mentioned he would refund what was owed and it would take 3 - 5 business days. Not a big deal, ok. Waited a week and didn’t see a refund. Called the gym back and spoke with the GM again. This time he told me that he would have to email corporate and that it takes 14 days for them to review the refund request and then refund could be processed. Told him that was BS and to refund my money immediately. He refunded only a partial of what was owed after numerous of calls and complaining. I told him then I wanted to cancel the membership. Long story short, you have to go through hoops and loops to get your membership cancelled. Definitely suggest going to another gym.

Negative experience: I've stayed with Texas Family Fitness solely because of the *Group Fitness* classes. These classes are what keep me motivated and coming back, and I know many women feel the same. Without them, I don’t think we would still be members. The instructors (Iris) and community make all the difference! This 5 stars will move to 1, if classes are taken away... many others will do the same ❤️ I hope you read this Planet Fitness welp.... now it's a ONE star if that....

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Texas family fitness on Campbell and Coit in Richardson. I did not want to start exercising at my 80-year-old age, but realized I had to. They placed me with a trainer named Francine, who has done wonders for my attitude and my overall health. She is so positive and helpful. And knows all of the right movements and and exercises that will help my body. She's very intuitive without you saying a word as to what you need to to do inorder to become more flexible, lose a little weight and get going again. I do recommend her highly, and if you happen to join this particular gym, please ask for Frencine. As your trainer, you will not be sorry. She's awesome!

Negative experience: Typical low-cost health club business model that has cheap dues but sell-sell-sell personal training and overpriced and questionable supplements. That's OK but my beef is they treat members who don't buy this stuff horribly. if you report an issue to management, they kind of act you are a pain in the ass. There is a lot of neglect of machines, restrooms, and there is a window that has been broken for days. They already have your money, so they don't care. They don't seem to realize that this is bad business as their own members can trash their reputation with credibility. Why they are asking for reviews surprised me!

Positive experience: I have been going to TFF for about 4 months now and I absolutely love my trainer and the overall cleanliness of the gym. I was there this morning and there were NO SANITARY WIPES in any of the dispensers. Absolutely unacceptable not to be able to wipe down the equipment after being used and sweated on by who knows how many people. This is a terrific gym and the staff are very professional and knowledgable. This particular issue needs to be addressed and corrected immediately.

Negative experience: Texas family fitness has a great layout of facilities. There is no accountability of any one to take care of the showers and restrooms at all. There is mold in showers, dust monsters in the vent systems in the showers and too many times when stalls do not have tissue paper for toilets.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I train with Caroline Koop. We appreciate her ability to modify exercises to help us get in better physical shape. She has also helped up improve our diets focusing on eating more protein. We definitely recommend this gym.

Negative experience: Nice gym with nice equipment BUT A LOT of personal trainers work there and conduct training sessions all day, especially during the busy hours. They take up the machines and even “hold them” when not in use. Gym management appears more concerned about personal training sessions than taking care of their month to month family members.

Negative experience: This place sucks. First of all charged me $40 for one day when the day pass was $10. Signed me up for a paid membership when i didn't ask for one so they charged me $20. Went to cancel membership and then 6 days later they charged me $60. Really crazy what a normalized scam gym memberships are. Manger and corporate skirting all my calls too. Manger called me a liar to my face when i came in person to discuss this with him. love when bald middle aged men attack younger women. don't believe in the high ratings of this gym by any means. they are liars and scammers.

Fantastic experience: Mike was a great help, an ideal person to talk to if I had any questions. I've been a member for a while now, and everyone there has always been friendly and helpful. Update: I came to work out, and all equipment is kept clean and up and running. It's one of my favorite gyms for a good price

Fantastic experience: I recently joined TFF North Dallas and have been very impressed so far. The gym is spacious and clean, with various workout areas to choose from. The staff is very friendly and has started to recognize me, which is comforting when joining a new gym. Initially, I wasn't sure what to expect since it's not a nationwide chain with a recognizable name. However, I find it better than any of the well-known gyms I've visited. If you’re considering joining TTF, I highly recommend.

Negative experience: I was excited to check out the Gym as the facility looked great and I have few friends working out here. However, the experience was ruined by terrible management. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, but the General Manager,and the Manager was a total disaster. (Manager) When we questioned the discrepancy regarding the online rates and the ones Offered at the Gym, the manager stated they don’t have to honor online pricing as they are meeting their Numbers. Which doesn't make any sense as the pricing were shown for this exact Gym. (General Manager) He were more interested in their phone than assisting potential members. When we asked about membership plans and facilities, he was dismissive and rushed me through the process. We were quoted three different rates by different staff members. To make matters worse, the General manager rudely inquired about who was interested in signing up, stating that he wasn't going to answer questions from the other member present there as he's just a guest. This was incredibly unprofessional and insulting. I’ve never encountered such poor customer service. Avoid this gym at all costs. I’d rather drive across town and pay more to workout somewhere where Customers are more important than the Mobile conversations.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I, are new at exploring the world of fitness clubs because of health issues. We were impressed by the support and helpfulness of the trainers. The leadership was very thoughtful in listening to our needs when we signed up, and we have felt very supported on our fitness journey. Highly recommend this gym and also trainers Adrian and Dev. The facility is amazingly decked out with machines of every type, and even though it’s always busy, it never feels overcrowded. Thank you for helping us move toward becoming stronger, healthier individuals.

Negative experience: After cancelling my account over 6 months ago, I just received a collections letter from a debt collector. I have tried calling the gym, corporate, and emailed corporate with no response and no assistance. I was a member of the gym for a couple years but the crowds made it hard to get a workout in.

Fantastic experience: Has been my home gym for 4 years, and it is the best for the price in this area. They recently just did an add on with more squat racks and equipment which is super nice.

Fantastic experience: I was so impressed with TFF. A respectful, helpful, kind young man named Adrian assisted us in the sign up process. This was our families first time joining a gym and he actually listened and understood our needs (budget, health goals, possible future needs, etc.). There were no high pressure sales tactics and he was respectful of our time, getting us signed up quickly while covering important details. He was motivating and encouraging. I highly recommend TFF and if you go to the N. Dallas location, ask for Adrian!

Positive experience: I’d give it 5 stars but people here know no fam gym etiquette. A bunch of children crowding your machine while on it just staring waiting for u to get off. U go and get water and u come back to an old person on the machine even though your things are there.

Fantastic experience: Texas Family Fitness North Dallas is a great place to work out. Managers, trainers and all staff are very nice and supportive of your exercise goals. I enjoyed the Zumba classes too. It was a good experience!

Positive experience: I do like this gym. What you get for the cost is good, and the children's area is always clean, but some of their equipment needs some TLC. This one for example has been like this for months. I really don't understand how it can take so long to relabel the weights.

Negative experience: Warning, please be aware that this establishment makes sneak charges to your account for services you may not even use. I initially signed up ecstatic because I could bring my little one (which most gyms don’t even offer anymore). Jay, one of the management team members assist me for signing up not telling me the unnecessary $376 monthly charge for PERSONAL TRAINING that I didn’t need. Nonetheless, not understanding that clause in signing up has been a nightmare. I’ve been charged twice in one month, NEVER using the service and even after canceling because of this, a whole month after charged yet again another $376. I highly recommend for the cost, you spend your time and money on a service you UTALIZE and CHOOSE to use. I will never and I mean never sign up or recommend this gym. Anyway to get you to sign the dotted line to have your card info for unlimited, misused charges is their goal.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym!! Definitely one of the best gyms out there. Brissa at the front desk is great as she showed me the gym and really sold me on it. Happy she did because the community here is awesome and even on days you don’t want to work out, it’s always fun!

Positive experience: Great gym! It’s quiet and kid friendly. Only thing I wish it had is a sauna and pool. Overall it was great! I’m only leaving because I got a free membership, training and nutrition at my job.

My one criticism is the men's restroom isn't in the best of shape - if it got some TLC (stall locks, paper towels in the dispenser, etc) there wouldn't be any negatives to speak of.

Negative experience: I've been a member of Texas Family Fitness - N. Dallas/Richardson for a while, and while there are some great aspects to this gym, there are also significant issues that need to be addressed. Firstly, the gym itself is good. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the equipment is well-maintained and serviced regularly. I appreciate the variety of machines available, which cater to different workout routines. However, the security at this location is a major concern. Recently, my gym belt was stolen, and despite speaking with management and searching the lost and found, I was unable to recover it. The lack of surveillance cameras and proper security measures makes it difficult to ensure the safety of members' belongings. This is not the first incident; my brother's water bottle was also stolen previously. This pattern of theft is unacceptable and needs immediate attention. Additionally, the men's washroom is often unhygienic, and the paper towel dispensers are empty about 40% of the time. Maintaining cleanliness and ensuring that basic supplies are available is crucial for any fitness facility. While I enjoy many aspects of this gym, these issues significantly impact the overall experience. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements.

Fantastic experience: TFF has an exceptional fitness environment with top-notch facilities and a wide range of equipment. The gym is always clean, and the atmosphere is welcoming and motivating. I’ve been training with Adrian for about a year. His expertise and personalized approach have been instrumental in helping me achieve my fitness goals. Adrian is incredibly knowledgeable, motivating, and supportive throughout our sessions. Because of his help, I've seen significant improvements strength, endurance, and my overall physique. I highly recommend Adrian to anyone looking to take their fitness journey to the next level.
