Hoyle Fitness Center: Opinions
Positive experience: great
Fantastic experience: It's good to be baaaaack
Fantastic experience: Nice little gym. Go Army!
Positive experience: Update: The staff apologized for giving me bad information. I appreciate that. I think I will come back. Honestly, good little gym, surprising really. But what I don't like is being stopped right before leaving the gym by staff to talk for 5 minutes because I have to get to work. Anyway, I was thinking maybe I should quit my gym membership and just use this place. That is until I felt singled out. The staff person told me that wearing the PT uniform is highly encouraged especially for active duty soldiers. First I'm not active duty, second I worked out in close proximity to someone I know that's considered active duty and they were wearing civilian clothes, third everyone was in civilian clothes, 4th there wasn't any signs posted encouraging the uniform. So yes, I felt very singled out. And now I'm a bit confused, I don't want to be the only person wearing the uniform. So now I'm not sure if I'm going to go back. My peace was interrupted and I didn't appreciate it.
Fantastic experience: The gym was great early in the morning at 6am. It wasn't crowded. I got to use all of the machines that I needed before starting my work day.
Positive experience: -19 The gym is only open from 6am to 8am on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays for active duty military personnel only, due to COVID-19.
Positive experience: Good gym with modern equipment. There is no functional fitness equipment.
Positive experience: The weight room has worn equipment but it's never packed, which is good for a gym rat like myself. The basketball court is a hazard! After speaking to management they refuse to wax the floors, for what reason who knows. You're better off just turning it into a skating rink, ijs
Fantastic experience: Great staff, clean, and great place to work out!
Positive experience: This gym is just as good as any large commercial workout facility, like the YMCA or Planet Fitness. I've only seen it really crowded during lunch on weekdays. I really like the indoor basketball courts, racquetball court, and sauna. Plus, the staff is exceptional.
Fantastic experience: Adequate
Positive experience: Nice and big, needs some work and more free weights.
Fantastic experience: Home
Positive experience: Good place to get your sweat on!
Positive experience: It’s a gym on an Army post, but they have the best Sauna!
Fantastic experience: Home
Positive experience: Great gym with all the workout options. Clean locker rooms.
Fantastic experience: It may not look like much on the outside, but this gym is very nice on the inside. It is a full service gym with machines, free weights, showers, and an indoor court. Very nice little gym tucked away in the corner of the base.
Positive experience: Only busy during morning PT hours.
Fantastic experience: The staff is always cordial and the gym is well-equipped
Fantastic experience: This is a great place to work out! The staff is very friendly and helpful, and I would definitely recommend it as a regular stop if you're trying to get in shape.
Fantastic experience: A little outdated and hot, but it's free to use and it has everything we can imagine.
Fantastic experience: Convenient and great location to my residence; thanks for being there for our Service Members
Fantastic experience: Good place. Old scary doomy ancient castle exterior structure but updated interior. Go get swole, or lose weight, or pick things up and put things down, or whatever happens in these gym things.
Fantastic experience: The workout equipment is excellent and staff friendly, helpful, and knowledgable
Fantastic experience: This Gyme is great. I love it here. I don't use very much of the available equipment but this is the biggest gym I have been fortunate to use.
Fantastic experience: Clean and people are friendly
Fantastic experience: Huge gym. Lots of variety in equipment, floor spaces and exercise capabilities.
Positive experience: Good atmosphere and no hassles
Fantastic experience: Don't let the creepy exterior scare you away. The facility is clean and modern, and has a wide variety of modern equipment. I never had to wait for an eliptical or weight bench, or any equipment for that matter. It also has clean locker rooms and restrooms. Made my TDY very pleasant.
