Fantastic experience: I have watched Sensei Veronica work with kids and young adults for over 4 years now and I am always impressed. She not only teaches the kids but also helps them learn how to focus, follow multi step instructions and "make good choices that karate people do!" It is wonderful for my daughter and she loves it. She works hard and thinks it is so much fun. Sensei has give my daughter "a bucket list" as she wants to work hard to be a black belt someday. I couldn't recommend this dojo more!

Fantastic experience: My boys have been attending classes here with Sensei Veronica for several years. My high schooler achieved his first level of black belt 2 years ago and his brother will be there within another couple of years too. Sensei Veronica is wonderful with kids of all ages and adults too. Her classes are engaging, challenging and fun. When the pandemic hit, she was able to pivot quickly and offer outside and online classes as alternatives and now back to in-person classes with safety measures in place. Highly recommend her and her dojo for anyone looking for a great place for their children to learn karate.

Fantastic experience: My 6 year old son takes karate here, and he loves it so much! The classes are amazing, and all the kids really respond to the instruction. It’s always a lot of fun, and my son has gained a ton of confidence through the program. I recommend this dojo to all my son’s friends. Fantastic experience: The art of karate can have a tremendous positive effect on its practitioner but the right teacher is required. Here at Midwest Shotokan karate I am simply amazed at the variety of drills, games and first class discipline implementation that Sensei Veronica brings with her passionate approach to karate teaching. I watch my son's every lesson there, his progress and his excitement about it. Our society is in great need of more of such top notch karate schools. Fantastic experience: My 6-yr-old son has been taking classes for just over two years. Sensei Veronica was just born to be a karate instructor for young kids. She is so patient and does such a great job of making class fun each week. I also give them kudos for their COVID response. The reopening plans were thoroughly thought out and they also did a great job of keeping members/parents informed every step of the way.
