Lamorinda Jiu Jitsu & Kickboxing

Fantastic experience: My children, ages 7 and 9 attend LaMorinda Juijitsu. The following review, however is not limited to a specific age group, and presents a wide degree of overlap. Coach(es) Stephanie, Moonie, John, Will, and the rest of the lovely team at LaMorinda Juijitsu exude contagious traits that include, but are not limited to, kindness for others and oneself, empathy, patience through tough(er) times, mental toughness and discipline, resilience, inclusivity, a sense of humor, traits that I personally consider, make a person the successful human being ???? The coaches are also a very skilled group of instructors. It is truly a unique placement of both worlds. My personal reflections and experiences have usually highlighted an overlap of kindness and success in any facet of life (be it personal or business); and luckily, it is also found in practice at LaMorinda Juijitsu; results such as confidence boosts to progressive skill sets, are very commonly observed there. Notwithstanding the above, I personally believe Coach Stephanie’s leadership has also paved the way to teaching world class Juijitsu skills to our younger generation. I enjoy witnessing her developing the skill set of the myriad of competitors at different levels, while simultaneously harnessing the skills already at their disposal. It is a very organized level of coaching students. I can’t say enough about this organization;I will always send referrals there way, at least within the east bay vicinity. Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a family friendly, safe training environment, I highly recommend giving this gym a try. Steph and Adam are both amazing coaches whether you are a high level competitor or just a mom/grandma like me who is eager to learn, progress at my own rate, and just plain stay in shape. I have trained at several gyms over the years and I can't recommend this one highly enough!

Fantastic experience: Great environment, stellar training and attention to detail. No matter what level you are, you will fit in here. I am new to jiu jitsu and everyone here is so welcoming and helpful. It's a great community of people helping people and the instructors are very professional and caring. I highly recommend Lamorinda Jiu Jitsu.

Fantastic experience: Love this place and the people. The owners are friendly, caring, flexible and very experienced. The instructors are also very experienced and do a great job coaching and walking around the room ensuring everyone understands what was just taught. There are also more experienced members w higher belts that help the group and this ensures everyone is learning and no one is left behind. For young kids, its a great experience as they feel very included and supported. I think the environment really helps kids boost their confidence. As for the facilities, it is kept very clean! The owners really do a great job of consistently upgrading and performing thorough cleans.
