Iron Bear Strength and Conditioning: Opinions
Fantastic experience: Where to begin?! At the time of writing this, I've been a member at Iron Bear for 3-months on their 3x per week plan, and I could not be more pleased with the (noticeable!) results thus far. Not just physically, but mentally as well; Having a routine this many times per week, let alone one geared towards my health, has made a major mental shift for the better! As for the Review ... Coaches: - Incredibly approachable, patient, informative, fun-natured, AND they are co-owners of the whole place, whom you get to work out with them sometimes depending on the class time you attend! Programming (workouts): - Tough and challenging while being completely modifiable which is great for a novice like me who's been out of a gym for a full decade. The variety of workouts focus on different muscle groups while always including Metabolic Conditioning. Atmosphere: - Open and expansive in a renovated industrial garage/warehouse which is a super cool aesthetic, outfitted with big surround speakers playing loud to keep you pumped throughout the workout. Community: - The attending members come in all different shapes and sizes and backgrounds, each with a similar goal of getting into or maintaining some level of fitness for a healthier version of themselves. It's an accepting and supportive group of people where everyone is a peer, without judgement or hierarchy. Equipment: - Rogue Echo bikes, Concept2 row machines, 8 barbell rig stations & ample pull-ups bars at varying heights, every weight of dumbell & kettlebell you can imagine, resistance bands of varying tensions, med balls/slam balls and sandbags, big tractor tires, sleds, literally you name it and it'll be included in a workout. Price: - Fair, erring on the side of generous! On the 3x per week plan, that's ~$7.50 per class, and then the Unlimited plan averages out the cost to only ~$5.50 per class assuming you go 5x per week. BEST PART OF ALL -- They offer a 5-DAY FREE TRIAL which I absolutely took advantage of back in April when I first started. That allowed me to test the waters and gauge if it was a good fit .... sold after DAY ONE! Overall, I would recommend this gym to any level between beginner to competitive athlete (which isn't a rarity within their member roster).
Fantastic experience: You want a gym where you feel invited, encouraged by peers and coaches, grow stronger, and have fun??? This is the place! I started a few months back to get fitness back into my lifestyle. It's an amazing feeling when you start seeing and feeling the results of building strength. 5 stars across the board!!!
Fantastic experience: The best gym in town :) great owners, great members and ALWAYS a great workout! I have been going here for three years and I am stronger than I have ever been. Plus, you never have to worry about figuring out what your workout will be because the workout is created for you and you can modify it to your fitness level. Everyone here is like family and I always look forward to seeing everyone ???? highly recommend!
Fantastic experience: If you want a challenge stop in to this gym! Challenging workouts and everyone is supportive and pushes you. The environment is great for anyone no matter your goals or fitness level. Great gym!
Fantastic experience: I joined Iron Bear just over a year ago at 44 yrs old no with no Crossfit experience. I am so happy I went out on a limb to try something new. I really have enjoyed the journey. I now go consistently 4x a week, I am stronger, healthier, love the atmosphere, and the owners are great ppl that care.
