The 123,000-square-foot Anthony S. Caprio Alumni Healthful Living Center provides students with a place to extend their college experience beyond the classroom. It opened in 1993 and features a 2,000-seat gymnasium for the Golden Bears men's and women's basketball and women's volleyball teams, a wellness center, aerobics room, eight-lane pool and recreation area, elevated indoor track, racquetball and squash courts, practice courts, weight room and varsity weight room, and a wrestling room. During inclement weather, spring sport teams can practice indoors in the fieldhouse section of the AHLC. The facility also includes a modern sports medicine area, classrooms/meeting and storage areas, intramural competitions, and offices for athletics and physical education. The second floor of the AHLC building is home to the Western New England University's Downes Athletic Hall of Fame.

Fantastic experience: Great space for all different kinds of events. We were there for graduation ceremonies. It was almost 100 degrees outside but the air conditioning worked great keeping it comfortable inside. We were way in back but they have huge screens in various locations so we watched it all on screen.

Positive experience: It's a nice facility. The pool area is big but the spectator area is average. We had a few challenges with parking and staff requesting everyone there for the swim meet (with the 300+ kids) needed to move mid meet so more people could tailgate for a football game. Unfortunately that caused a lot of stass for meet volunteers and stressed out the kids. In addition, the closed the locker rooms at 9am and told everyone to use the restrooms in the lobby area. only to close those at 10 without warning for some cleaning. So we had kids without any restroom access for about 30 minutes. I absolutely understand students et first priority, however think the communication and accommodation for those renting space could be a bit better. On a bright side, pool is clean and the parking lots well lit.
