Bleeding Hearts Kettlebell Club: Opinions
Fantastic experience: Huge fan of this place. It’s a small, intimate gym that genuinely loves its members and it’s community. Classes are only occasionally crowded (on weekends or holidays), and they’ve done an excellent job staying clean and conscientious during COVID. The workouts are well-planned, challenging, creative, and really fun (at least, as fun as a hard workout can be!). In addition to being a fabulous place to workout, they also hold important (and really fun!) fundraisers and holiday parties; it’s very clear that their mission is more than “provide quality workouts” (which, as mentioned above, they also do). Go support them! You won’t regret it!!
Fantastic experience: This space is TRULY special! Bleeding hearts makes me feel safe, welcome, and STRONG! I have been to all kinds of different gyms, classes, and workout situations and nothing really compares. The trainers are absolutely incredible and the community is so kind and supportive to one another. And they always play my favorite music :)
Fantastic experience: I love this gym!! I love the workouts, workout times, and how every workout changes daily.
Fantastic experience: I've moved away from Portland for about a year now, but a friend brought this place up in a conversation and I realized I never did do this place a solid and write up a review. I'd never done kettlebells before... I'd done a good bit of martial arts, but I came in pretty out of shape. As a newbie, man oh man. The first few days after my first class, my hamstrings were to the point of walking around like I was double my age. Clearly (1) my form wasn't the best and (2) I was working muscles that hadn't been worked in ages. Once I was recovered, I took it a bit slower/lighter, which is one of the great things about this place. The classes are structured and organized, but you can go your own pace. Can't do 15 box jumps in a minute? Go for 10. The instructors are encouraging and nice -- especially to newcomers. They take a bit of time to make sure your form is right and that you know your way around the exercises. Want a good sweat while building strength? Give this place a shot.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic instructors, challenging classes, great schedule, very affordable. I've been going here for 2 years now and take classes 4 times a week. Very highly recommended!
