YMCA of Northern Colorado

Fantastic experience: I visited the Arapahoe Center from my home Y using the AWAY benefits of being a Y member. I felt welcome during my visit. I enjoyed the M-W 5:45AM indoor cycling class and using the fitness room I found the YMCA of Boulder Valley Arapahoe Center a positive experience during my visit to the area. The equipment was in good repair and the staff and instructors were excellent.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been members of the YMCA of Boulder Valley for 6 years and typically workout at the Arapahoe location several times a week. We have taken a myriad of classes, worked with several trainers, and lifted weights during that time. We use the pool during the summer, and our kids have been involved with many sports programs there. We love the people and facilities.

Fantastic experience: The YMCA of Boulder Valley is my favorite place to workout, hangout, and spend time with friends. They have excellent facilities, GREAT classes, AND their child watch is EXCEPTIONAL. The people in child watch make sure to get to know your child by name, personality and needs. They really connect with the kids and help them to be comfortable and THRIVE at this facility! I thank the YMCA for so many of my friends, for the healthy lifestyle they promote, and for helping me teach my kid about all of those same things.

Fantastic experience: Awesome place to go to & get healthy. Also the swimming pool has a slide for kids, and a high AND low diving board for kids & adult kids like M'self.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful facility with a gorgeous pool, the pool is somewhere around 85° or slightly warmer, perfect for a therapy pool, a little bit too warm for lap swimming. The other weird thing was that the water was very cloudy and opaque, I couldn't see the bottom in 8 ft of water which is unusual for a swimming pool. In fact it's the cloudiest swimming pool I've ever swam in in the United States in recent memory. Also the least clean appearing (?Dirtiest??) water I've encountered in a YMCA and I have swum in a number of them.

Fantastic experience: Just finished a hockey game in which an assistant coach started a fight with 2 14 y.o. refs, as well as parents. 1 opposing dad grabbed mom by throat and was tossed by dad for that. This is while an opposing player was down on the ice. The situation could have really gone out of control. Instead a manager looking more like a petite 20 y.o. , Olivia, jumped in, took control. She stopped the parents fighting, booted the coach and THEN called the police. Many other managers would have failed this situation. Olivia is the type of manager all places need. In addition, I've interacted with the front desk personal who are as friendly as they come.

Fantastic experience: This place is huge! Lots of sports activities from swimming to dance classes to hockey! So far, everyone has been very nice as well. Glad this is in our area!

Fantastic experience: We love this beautiful outdoor pool. Its clean with vigilant lifeguards and a lovely grassy area for picnics etc. The swim lessons I signed my son up for never happened but that's life, sometimes things don't go as planned (there was no instructor when we arrived fir class and lots of chaotic confusion)

Fantastic experience: Absolutely incredible facilities/gyms with great class options-included in your membership! Free child watch for your kids while you workout and amazing youth programs from summer camps, sports and swim lessons. Our daughter loves everything Y!!

Fantastic experience: This place is awesome!! Amazing people, and they put a dome over their pool so it can be used during the winter which is awesome too. There is an actual hockey rink in there as well as the usual ymca things to do.

Fantastic experience: This Y is awesome, I love the preschool they have as well. My son is learning so much, his teachers are very kind.

Fantastic experience: Worth it for the child care alone. When I'm solo with the kids and I need a break and some exercise I come here. You get two free hours a day with your membership plus a third hour at a very reasonable price. There are enough treadmills that I've never had to wait - even on a Saturday morning. The indoor track is also pretty nice and usually not too crowded. We've also really appreciated the swim lessons. If you sign up for a group one in there winter you often still have a pretty small class size.

Fantastic experience: Clean and functioning equipment. Outdoor pool that is open during the summer with separate kids pool that (probably) gets the most chlorine. Showers and lockers are in good shape. Indoor track, astroturf football field. No gimmicky sign up, and can use your membership in longmont, arapahoe location and mapleton location. By far best deal in Boulder.

Fantastic experience: This is the best place to workout, swim, yoga, ice skate, cycle, play soccer. My kids love the child care and we enjoy going their as a family. The pool is so fun! I love the yoga studio and the teachers are great and so willing to teach and help. There are very few places my kids will go for child care and the Y is one that they love.

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing! So many wonderful classes and instructors to choose from. It's very convenient to find time for a workout or class because they offer such a wide variety of classes throughout the day and week. They also have a great childcare center to supervise and entertain the little ones while you attend your class or workout. They have a really beautiful clean pool that's outside in the Summer and covered with a dome during the Winter. They have an ice skating rink too. The YMCA is an inviting and accepting place where I've met and made friends with many nice people. But what really makes the Y an awesome organization are the many ways that they contribute to their community. I have become a healthy, active and confident 43 y/o single Mom of 5 kids thanks to the YMCA and their members. I am so grateful for the healthy impact that the Y has made in our lives.

Fantastic experience: Fitness/weight room is well maintained and I can always find mat space in the gym or group workout room. Lots of good resources available to members. Love this place!

Fantastic experience: They have a saltwater pool with slides stay open year round due to the use of a large inflatable dome. Smaller kiddie pools available during summer only. Basketball courts with a banked track around the top. Standard cardio and workout equipment is all in good shape. I also consider the year round ice rink a huge plus. Can't be beat for the price.
