Fantastic experience: Amazing facility and atmosphere in downtown Kansas City. Visited Genesis for a couple days during a work trip. Plenty of free weights, machines, and cardio equipment. Had the pleasure of talking with Tyler. Friendly staff.

Fantastic experience: What an amazing gym! The equipment around the facility is really nice and there are multiple machines so you aren’t waiting on other people to be done! The big windows are such a great feature bringing in a lot of natural light that just seems to keep you motivated through the workout! The front desk staff is also super friendly and extremely helpful!

Fantastic experience: Best gym in the area. Friendly and helpful front desk, lots of bench/squat racks, and turf for warm up/cool down. Also a nice area for Olympic lifting. Enjoyed.

Fantastic experience: Very clean facility with all the equipment and space you need to have a great workout. The surrounding area is very nice to walk around as well. The overall experience of going to this gym is very pleasant and I’m comfortable recommending this place to people. Tyler Gormley, one of the managers, is a great team member that helped me out and welcomed me in.

Fantastic experience: Ava and Celeste were beyond helpful at the front desk!!! They were quick and made sure me and my friend had everything we needed. We had a great workout because of them! Not to mention they both have the fattest dumpies, I’m trying to get like them!

Fantastic experience: I was visiting from out of town and stopped in. This is probably one of the cleanest and nicest public fitness centers I’ve been to. The staff was great and the place surprisingly has a ton of room. Definitely going to try and come back if I’m ever in town again!

Fantastic experience: Genesis gym at the power and light is one of the best gyms in the city All new equipment, very clean, and the entire staff is fantastic, including Tyler and Chantal. It wasn't too crowded, so I had enough time to work out and enjoy it. This gym comes highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Im here in town for a week and my gym isn’t in the area , went to genesis and they treated me like family from the start! Signed me up on the 3 day trial and the three people there were phenomenal, best in the city !!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to this gym before it was even Genesis. Ava and Chris have been some of the best staff to work with! Ava took her time to re-enroll me and answer all my questions and Chris took his time to teach me about properly gaining muscle and the benefits of PT. Definitely recommend them both!

Fantastic experience: I was in town for business. Needed a gym to do legs and the hotel would not do. The management and staff were super friendly at Genesis! They had very reasonable daily rates and the facility was great. Very open floor plan, clean equipment. Bathrooms were spotless. Really enjoyed my visit and will be back next time I am in town. Would definitely be a member here if I lived in town!

Fantastic experience: Had a great workout at the Genesis Health Clubs- Power & Light location! The assistant club manager, Tyler Gormley was the biggest help and made a huge effort to make sure my experience was the best! I will be returning soon.

Fantastic experience: I'm from out of state visiting my friend, and I needed to keep up with my training. Tyler from helped me out immensely and made me feel right at home here at Genesis Health Club. Great facility with plenty of weights for a meathead like myself. I highly recommend this club. When you call, ask for Tyler. He's one of the nicest guys and you'll definitely have a great time here because of him.

Fantastic experience: I went here a few years ago when it was OneLife. It is still a great facility now that Genesis bought it. There are plenty of machines and free weights so you shouldn’t have to wait to get on your treadmill or bike. They don’t skimp on air conditioning. It was very comfortable.

Fantastic experience: Genesis Health Club-P&L is a fantastic gym. The lighting is fantastic, and all of the equipment is clean and in good shape. Their whole staff is very friendly, and Tyler Gormley was great help.

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym! Friendly staff and overly welcoming! Equipment is well taken care off and extremely clean. I couldn’t find a single piece of equipment broken. Spacious so you’ll never feel overly crowded while working out. Best in the city!

Fantastic experience: In KC and wanted to get in a workout. Went to Onelife fitness. Immediately impressive with how clean it was. Was greeted by Tyler Gormley who was very welcoming and pleasant. Got in an awesome workout with great equipment!! I’ll definitely be back to put in some more great work!!!

Fantastic experience: This gym is great! The facility was clean, well air conditioned, and fully equip with all the gym equipment you'd want/need. As a new client I met Assistant Club Manager Tyler Gormley and he was really great. He showed me around the facility and was really helpful. The customer service here is great and everyone was really welcoming. I highly recommend this gym for everyone to go work out in.

Fantastic experience: I was in KC for a trip and decided to stop by. I used to go to the STL ballpark location and loved it. Only stopped going because I moved away and it was not feasible with the driving distance. I equally love this one. It's clean, it has everything you need and the staff are extremely hospitable. Tyler the assistant manager and the people at the desk were just so fun and energizing that it made being there more uplifting. Next time I'm in KC I'll definitely be stopping by again.

Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed this gym. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The equipment was spaced out and not crammed in one area. I’m not from the area and have visited quite a few different gyms around the US. All of them were good but would not call it a home gym if I moved to the area. This is the first gym that I would consider being a home gym if I moved to Kansas City.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic location in Light &Power district of KC, this gym is excellent. Wide range of clientele and equipment, and everything clean and well maintained. Tyler was Fantastic in getting me oriented and feeling welcome. You'll love this place and the staff.

Fantastic experience: In town for work and snagged a pass. Pretty large and array of equipment. You won't struggle to find a squat rack or bench. The dedicated oly/deadlift platform and space for sled push/drags, and functional strength pretty clutch. Some sweet machines, too.

Fantastic experience: Great downtown gym whether living in or visiting Kansas City! Great location and was happy to find such a complete gym with everything you need so close to my hotel & conference while visiting Kansas City. Wish we had one of these back home! Great weekly rate too!! Friendly staff, clean and never too crowded!!

Fantastic experience: I could not recommend Genesis more. I go to the downtown KC location and the atmosphere is incredible. The staff is so helpful—Jordan especially has gone above and beyond to make my experience here one worth leaving a 5 star review about. It’s super clean & especially if you’re not going during peak busy hours, there’s always enough equipment to use. Highly recommend to anyone deciding between gyms!

Fantastic experience: I travel all over the US and a frequent gym user and I can fully attest that this gym is super clean and sanitary. The front desk people were super friendly and welcoming and the manager was so helpful and cool. Overall great vibe. I will definitely be back here on my travels

Fantastic experience: Gym improved when Genesis bought out One Light Fitness. They got rid of the easy-to-use wipe dispensers and replaced them with squirt bottles and paper towel rolls in a 5 gal bucket. How fun!! Instead of grabbing towels at the front desk, they’re now abundant in the locker rooms. One might say the locker rooms are overflowing! I canceled my membership because I don’t feel worthy of the excellence. Ok do I get my free T-shirt now?
