CrossFit Azo

Fantastic experience: Dropped in a couple of days while visiting friends. The coaching was great and met some really nice people. One work out was a partner WOD which seemed intimidating but my partner was encouraging and I had a great time. I will return on our next visit.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member for a several years and I am so grateful that I came across this place! The coaching staff is highly knowledgeable and super friendly as well as being very keen on making accommodations for health purposes for members. The community is amazing and I am blessed to be a part of the AZO family!

Fantastic experience: I have been dropping-in Crossfit AZO during the holidays for past 4 years and would definitely recommend this place to everyone! The coaches are very nice and provide great coaching cues, the community is friendly and fun to be around during wods, and the facilities are fantastic. The workouts are always challenging, but modifiable for beginners. I usually go on their website or facebook page to check out the next days workout - it's another added plus for them to publish their workouts online for those who are interested. I always look forward to coming back. Check this box out if you are in the area!

Fantastic experience: A fantastic group of people and coaches make the suffering of CrossFit *almost* worth it! :D Seriously, though, they are very beginner friendly and will do all they can to keep you safe and progressing. If you are doing something incorrectly, they will stop and help you to make sure you don't hurt yourself and will scale things so that you can continue to develop and improve. They also offer other classes than just the standard CrossFit offerings if you wanted to focus on mobility, or olympic weightlifting, all included in your membership. CrossFit is pricier than the $10/mo gyms around town but I look at it like hiring a personal trainer to train multiple times a week would well exceed the cost of membership here AND you wouldn't have the opportunity to make as many friends along the way. Whether you are already fit, or hope to be one day, you can be sure the team at Crossfit AZO will help you get there. Just remember, it never gets easier... you just get faster and stronger! :)

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to a lot of CrossFit gyms and this is one of the best. Great atmosphere, coaches and programming. Definitely will be dropping in here anytime I’m in Portage.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member at Crossfit AZO since April 2016, and the physical gains I have experienced are remarkable. The coaches are all amazing and have years of collective experience in training and teaching. The dedication and wisdom they share with their members is hands down the best around town! I learn something new every time I step through the doors whether it's safe body mechanics, proper weightlifting form, nutrition, importance of warming up and cooling down, running techniques, pacing, mobility, and many more things. I have joined numerous gyms in the past and none of them have the same quality of coaching, programming, and community as Crossfit AZO. The coaches are always friendly, energetic, open to feedback, approachable, passionate, and always emphasize safe form and mobility. The sense of community is really what makes AZO stand out both inside and outside of the box. Members and staff are always so supportive, welcoming, and friendly which gives AZO a family type of atmosphere. I can't say enough great things about AZO and they have exceeded my expectations. This is an awesome community of people and you won't regret your decision to check this place out!

Fantastic experience: There are so many class offerings available at Crossfit Azo from fundamentals to yoga to barbell club in addition to workout of the day. The coaches are caring and focused on the athlete achieving their personal goals. They are very attuned to the needs of each athlete and often come and make corrections to ensure you are doing the movement safely and correctly. Even the most experience Crossfitter is corrected if something is not right. The gym community is great. Members are friendly and before you know it you have thirty new friends. If I ever have to move I'm not sure I'd ever be able to replace Azo with another box.

Fantastic experience: I've been attending CrossFit AZO for almost two years. I had no idea what to expect, but it certainly wasn't everything I've gained so far. I have always been an athlete but lost touch with that over time. AZO brought back the feeling of pushing myself individually but also the teamwork and encouragement from others. The coaching is amazing and they are able to safely bring out more from the athletes than we imagine we could do. You get out what you put into it, and it's an incredible feeling to know you're able to push your body like this. Everything can be scaled as you work on the many fitness elements. I love that I'm working out next to collegiate athletes, soccer moms, masters ;) and everyone in between yet we all do the same workouts to our ability and walk out equally accomplished each time. The facility is large compared to other crossfit places I've visited. They offer extras like yoga, teen classes and more (check the website!) and there are many social opportunities outside of the box to hang out with what is sure to become your second family.

Fantastic experience: Visited Crossfit Azo with two other friends for a last minute drop in before we ran the Spartan and the members and coach where very welcoming. It's was a great class and the space is great! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I've been a member for a while and AZO has become my "third place..." not just a gym, but an awesome community. I've visited several other CrossFit affiliates over the years, and nothing compares to AZO...great space, plenty of equipment, knowledgeable coaches, and best of all, the most supportive people, regardless of how fit (or not) you are.
