CrossFit^® Lake Effect

Fantastic experience: I was a drop in at CrossFit Lake Effect and was impressed from the moment I walked through the door. The gym was bright, clean and well organized - plenty of equipment and room to stretch out. Coach Peter did a great job getting the group warmed up and then demonstrated the moves for the days WOD. He paid special attention to those that needed a bit more help with the moves so that they were comfortable before the workout started. Encouraged the entire group through the workout and was good at keeping us on track to finish. Overall, great experience and definitely a box I will go back to when in Holland, MI. My travels take me all over the country and I have been fortunate enough to drop in at other CrossFit boxes along the way. CFLE would be at the top of my list for the overall experience. Fantastic experience: CrossFit Lake Effect is such an amazing place. It's professional, clean, and encouraging. CrossFit is the type of sport that you really need to have a good coach to help you learn the basic moves and to help you learn the more advanced moves as well. The coaches are Level 1 Trainers, and they really know their sport. They don't just talk the talk, the DO IT too. They've competed and worked with the best, so you'll know you're in excellent hands. I was new to CrossFit and I took the foundations course to begin. I felt like I was in excellent hands as the coaches explained all the moves, as well as how to modify them to my ability. After my first week, I was hooked. The community piece to CrossFit Lake Effect makes a huge difference as well. All the athletes are encouraging and helpful. As a beginner, this was really helpful for me. CrossFit can be an intimidating sport, and at CrossFit Lake Effect, they make you feel empowered and welcomed. It's different than any other gym I've been too, and I don't plan on going anywhere else! I'm totally hooked. Try it out! You'll love it too!

Fantastic experience: I dropped in here. Super nice facility with tons of space. Members were friendly. The coach was helpful and gave me some pointers on my squat form. Plus, the drop in deal is fantastic for including 3 classes and a tshirt! I also loved that they had a Saturday 8am class (which none of the other boxes in Holland offer)…great option for getting a wod in before a very busy Saturday.

Fantastic experience: Probably the best gym I've dropped in to. Challenging (but fun) programming. Friendly and welcoming community. Friendly welcoming staff. They get a lot of drop ins and now I see why. I expected eye rolls when I said I was dropping in but most people I talked to seemed pumped to meet someone new. Facility is one of the higher quality crossfit gyms I've tried. Its clean and large with plenty equipment. If you're an animal they welcome you to use their open gym area if you want to do some accessory/extra credit after/between classes. My family really enjoyed visiting western MI and I will definitely be back. The fact that it was a great deal was just a cherry on top. Check Crossfit Lake Effect out!

Fantastic experience: My first Drop in class here was November of 2014 and it was a welcoming fantastic experience. The Members were friendly and the coaching great. It was a Partner WOD and I had someone walk up right away and ask if I would partner with them. Gym Clean and Equipment top rate. I returned this past weekend and it was just as I remembered. I walked in and Paul looked at me and said. "You have been here before haven't you?" Went in Paid my drop in fee, and then AJ (Coach) looks at me and, same thing. "You've been here before". I had the delight of working out with this amazing group for 2 days! (And another Saturday Partner WOD) If I lived here, this would be my Box and 2nd home. Great group of serious athletes with no attitude and a friendly inclusive space. When in Holland - CrossFit Lake Effect is the place to go!
