FLEX Fitness Center

Fantastic experience: Best gym in town. I have a free membership to MVP but still rather pay to go to Flex. The owners are extremely friendly and down to earth people. Not to mention the extent of free weights, machines, and cardio equipment. There truly isn't any gym around equipped like Flex. I started 8yrs. ago at a scrawny 135lbs and now at 210 with under 10% body fat. I don't believe I could have accomplished this anywhere else. Thank you Flex Fitness Center for the motivation and always helpful advise.

Fantastic experience: Excellent facility, no matter what you're into...Powerlifting, bodybuilding, and the only place in town with Atlas stones, tires, and farmers walk yokes. Numerous power racks and squat racks, as well as a full line of machines. 24 hr access is a big plus, as is the always friendly staff who are genuinely happy to have you there and appreciate your business.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Flex Fitness Center, has been nothing but outstanding. Great staff, great location, various equipment to fit many types of athletic and fitness goals. Flex, is bye fare one of the best fitness faculities I have trained at. If your looking to get in shape, or seeking out a place to focus and train hard to meet your athletic goals; Flex is the place to go.

Fantastic experience: I had to experience Flex Fitness for myself, so on the 4th I headed that way to see what exactly it was that separates Flex from all the other fitness facilities. The moment I walked in and was greeted by Dave I knew what it was: raw-iron hospitality. The intensity, camaraderie, and loyalty to the weights was refreshing to experience. Heavy plates were being thrown around and groans of determination echoed room-to-room creating a brotherhood to iron. Truly a gym that offers that in-your-face, lactic acid pooling, insane pump generating, get off your butt and lift some heavy weight ambiance.

Fantastic experience: We recently visited FLEX Fitness as we were traveling through town. FLEX fitness is very clean and organized. The staff are also friendly and helpful. I would have no problem recommending FLEX Fitness to a friend.

Fantastic experience: LOVE Flex. Since they are open 24 hours, I can get in whenever I need to--even holidays. The staff are friendly and call me by name. I rarely have to wait for the equipment I need. The atmosphere is friendly but no nonsense, I can get my training done and at the same time be inspired by the more advanced lifters around me.

Fantastic experience: Flex Fitness Center is the best place to workout in West Michigan PERIOD. If you are a serious lifter, this is the place for you. They don't kick you out for making too much noise or using chalk like other gyms would. Also, the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this gym to anyone and everyone.

Fantastic experience: Best gym ever been working out at Flex for 10 years now I lost a tremendous amount of weight working out and being on a diet Flex has many machines and free weights I also won a contest there back in 2014 and got a month free staff is really nice and helpful they'll even give you a tour of the gym when you first start out I will continue my workouts at Flex Fitness Center

Fantastic experience: Flex Fitness is like home to me. Warm, friendly, helpful, they have everything you need to get a great workout in, plus, a great tanning booth! I love the fact that, even if I’m the only female amongst the men, it’s completely comfortable. I also love if I have any questions both owners as well as employees and fellow patrons are very willing to help and answer any questions I may have.. I truly love Flex Fitness!

Fantastic experience: Flex Fitness Center is a great place to work out. The Gym is very clean and well kept. The equipment is up to date and amazing to work out with. Flex is a weight lifting power house Gym but one of the things I love about Flex is that it is a family. Because of this family atmosphere just the average person like myself feels excepted and welcomed. I have struggled since the pandemic to get back into the routine of working out and improving my health. The Owners, Staff and Trainers at Flex are amazing to work with. I am so grateful for Amy my Trainer! She is professional, kind, patient and understanding. Her encouragement has given me the confidence that I needed to start regaining my health. She is so full of knowledge of how your body works and comes up with ways to modifiy any movement if needed. I would highly recommend going into Flex and checking out this awesome environment to workout in and take some time to talk to the Staff or just the average person that is working out at Flex. You will soon see the reason why I am so grateful for Flex and my trainer Amy! I am looking forward to continuing my fitness journey at Flex with Amy!

Fantastic experience: What a great place to work out! So many kind and encouraging people! The least intimidating gym I’ve ever been to. Working with Amy one on one has been challenging and productive but mostly FUN! I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: This gym changed my life. I come here every day and I’ve never had a bad experience. Always clean. Everyone is friendly and professional. They have plenty equipment for every goal. Plenty of free weights and machines. I live in Allendale but the travel to this gym is worth it for me even with gas prices the way they are.

Fantastic experience: Hands down the most versatile and eclectic gym in Michigan. They have top of the line equipment and the best staff available. Whether its bodybuilding, powerlifting, general weightlifting, boxing, cardio or something in-between this gym has it. On top of all of that this gym is Extremely well priced costing less than a cup of coffee. Not to mention the wonderful community atmosphere as well as 24 hour access. Need a gym to build the better you?? FLEX IS IT.

Fantastic experience: Great place to workout. I've been a member of the Flex Fitness Center for about 13 years. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Lots of equipment, clean environment, friendly staff and members. If you're not serious about working out, then Plannet Fitness might be better suited.

Fantastic experience: Great gym with a very inviting staff! Deadlift platforms, dumbbells over 100s and overall not that hectic even during the busy times. Been here for almost 2 years now and it defintely feels like home to me. There are some odd gym members here and there but overall a quality gym!

Fantastic experience: No school like the old school! Flex has it all with a cardio room, several training rooms including heavy bags, a speed bag and deadlift platforms. And the main gym has a ton of equipment - machines, racks, free weights and dumbbells. The owners are great people, and they hire great staff. No judgement, always a good time.

Fantastic experience: This is your "dad's" or "uncle's" workout gym. Serious. Modestly priced. Always available to members (key pass system). Kind of older equipment but it ALL works. I mean a 50# barbell is always a 50# barbell even if it isn't all bright and shiney and new!

Fantastic experience: This is in regards to Zach bouwkamp’s review First of all this young boy Zach doesn’t understand gym etiquette. When the gym is busy you don’t circuit train or super set as he calls it. Rule 18 it’s on the board. This is common practice at most gyms. Must be the fifty gyms he visited he didn’t read those rules either. If you are trying to boot someone off a machine when you’re on the other side of the gym. It’s not going to over well. To the comment about being called a douche bag. This is true you were called a douche bag but it didn’t come out my mouth. That was another member. Must be they thought you were acting immature. I specifically remember saying you were rude and inconsiderate. This is after you mouthed off to me. You must not have been taught how to respond politely in a social situation. You admitted you keep to yourself. In the 5 years of training at this gym I never had a problem with anyone until you. I can say with confidence im well liked at this gym. It’s Sad to see you write so negatively about your experience when you created the issue. I think you just have some growing up to do. The fact you talked negatively about flex is beyond me. This is one of the best gyms in West Michigan. The equipment is quality and when you buy quality it last for a life time. This is a real gym! *To close I’d just like to say if you would spend more time lifting weights rather then looking and posing in the mirror maybe you would see some real gains and not look like a twig.

Fantastic experience: Great bodybuilding and lifting gym with a friendly staff. This isn't Planet Fitness in the best ways. Tons of free weights, squat platforms, Oly stations, heavy bags and more!
