Fantastic experience: Love this place! I can't say enough great things - the owner is amazing, the instructors are amazing, the class is amazing! You get the idea ;) I joined about a month and half ago and am hooked. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Plus, I can already see a difference in my body! What's not to love about all the above. :)

Fantastic experience: I was pretty nervous walking into my first class at The Bar Method, that was quickly changed because when you walk into the The Bar Method Highland Park you are quickly greeted by several smiling faces. It is truly a community here, all the way from the instructors to the wonderful people who participate in classes. I am literally so thankful that I was brave enough to walk in, because that is truly all it takes. Sarah, Stephanie, Chris, Jenna, and everyone else( sorry there's so many names!! ) are all amazing. Each class is different, and challenges you but has you leaving feeling better than before!

Fantastic experience: Can’t say enough good things about the instructors and this studio. Barre is an outstanding workout for strength, balance and flexibility, and the instructors here make sure you do everything correctly to maximize the body benefits while minimizing any potential for injury. (I’ve tried other weight-resistance workouts that have left me hurt due to muscle strain or overuse, which always brings me back to barre.) Everyone here is very positive, encouraging and kind, and they make the workouts a lot of fun. The best part of my day is at the end of the workout because I am physically spent but feel a huge sense of accomplishment.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely LOVE this barre studio! It’s hands down THE BEST!!! I have been doing barre classes for almost 14 years and have found The Bar Method to be absolutely superior to any other barre class. And the Highland Park studio is so warm + inviting - the community there is really really special and I think that’s because the owner Sarah Oates Keating is incredible and the instructors are all stellar. The Bar Method is such an amazing form of exercise for women especially- and perfect for anyone with back problems as the core strengthening and detailed attention to spine alignment, posture strengthening and form is a huge focus of this studio. Such a big, big fan!!!

Fantastic experience: I love the Bar Method in Highland. There is nothing like walking in the door and having every one call you by name! ( Just like Cliff on Cheers!) The facility is clean, the instructors knowledgeable, and the personalized adjustments extremely helpful for quick results. You will soon feel like part of a fit family

Fantastic experience: Sarah at the Highland Park Bar Method location is a seasoned instructor with more than a decade of Bar Method teaching experience and a lifetime of dance proficiency. Being a male, it was challenging to step into a class predominately filled with women where I felt inexperienced and awkward. The burning sensation created by a three-pound weight when performing the activity with proper form was impressive. Each of the exercises develops flexibility, isometric strength, and conditioning that provide a significant advantage for a cross training athlete or as a primary workout. Additionally, persevering through the isometric holds helps to develop a mental fortitude that will leave you feeling wonderful post workout. After decades of training other sports, it feels incredible to reap the benefits of Bar Method by correcting the imbalances generated from sport specific training. I was amazed at how sore I was in the smaller muscle groups such as my calves, triceps, and abdominal muscles and pleasantly surprised to see improvements in my physique after only a short period of time with the Bar Method exercises.

Fantastic experience: I LOVE The Bar Method in Highland Park!!! It’s the best place to go to make new friends, exercise with highly trained instructors, and challenge your body at your own pace. Sarah is so kind, and I feel lucky to be a part of The Bar Method family.
