Fantastic experience: I can't say enough good things about Kenny Blanchard and the program offerings for group fitness at IBJI. Kenny worked with me closely to tailor a program for me that fit my specific needs and concerns. He responded promptly to all my emails and questions with patience and professionalism. I also love the classes and all the trainers--every one of them are educated and professional. This is old fashioned excellent customer service and beyond!
Fantastic experience: Great gym. Great prices. Everyone here is very nice. Every machine is super clean. There's a culture of cleaning up after yourself which I appreciate.

Fantastic experience: Positive: Communication , Professionalism , Quality First of all, everyone is so nice here. That is important when you are restarting an exercise program after a long (pandemic) absence. This supportive environment is smaller than some of the typical health club classes I have taken and thus allows personalized attention.
Positive experience: Amazing coaches and workout program at the Mt. Prospect Location. I've been to other gyms where they make you sweat a lot, but you don't see nor feel the effects of the workout. At HPI, they give you a great workout program and you see and feel the results in a short time period. Thank you HPI.
Fantastic experience: It is a very clean facility and the staff are very friendly. I enjoyed the boot camp and build classes as they pushed me.
Positive experience: Professional trainers that are clearly experts in fitness for all levels. Good communication. Hopefully will add more classes to schedule outside of typical work hours.
Fantastic experience: HPI is amazing. I had gone there in previous years, but then moved out of state, once I saw they were doing remote programming I was quick to reach out. They created a custom program for me and kept me accountable. Dave reached out to see how the workouts were going and made adjustments based on my feedback. The variety they include is great from the custom program to online/live stream classes. This was the jumpstart I needed! I would highly recommend Cory, Dave and team to anyone, all ages and fitness levels!
Fantastic experience: The 21 day challenge with IBJ was really helpful! The trainers were wonderful, and the remote workouts were surprisingly rigorous for someone who's never worked out outside a gym. IBJ makes sure to provide a variety of kinds of workouts in various formats (self led or live in groups), and having accountability to a trainer makes it easier to stick to a diet and exercise plan. I would recommend this program, especially for people working/isolated at home!
Fantastic experience: Absolutely love HPI! The trainers there are amazing! They make the workouts challenging yet do able for anybody. Everybody there is a great motivator and wants nothing but to see their clients succeed. They have a great facility for both personal training and sports performance. You would benefit from coming here weather you are an athlete looking to enhance your performance or if you just want to live a healthier lifestyle. Love them!
Fantastic experience: My wife has belonged to IBJI-HPI for multiple years and loves the trainers and the exercise classes. They recently offered a 4 week fitness/health challenge that they allowed +1 participants and I joined. Given Covid-19, we were at home, but I truly enjoyed getting my a$$ kicked 3x a week in the classes led by Anna/Dave; they were circuit based and focused on cardio/core work/strength training. Both trainers were creative in their at home exercises and motivated the entire class. In addition, there were eating/sleeping/daily challenge components that made it a more holistic approach. Would highly recommend IBJI-HPI to anyone; you won't be disappointed and you will love the entire training staff.
Fantastic experience: I did the 21 day challenge. It was a struggle for me in the beginning, maybe because I'm over 60, but I slowly acclimated to the routine. The diet was a nice guide and wake-up call to eat better. The workouts were tough on my knees but even that got better with time. I'm a big fan of accountability and when you know someone is working with you side by side and can answer questions its a huge help. Ultimately I toned up a little, gained better eating habits, and lost 5 lbs over the 21 days. I'm grateful for their help and guidance. Dave and Anna were terrific.
Fantastic experience: I participated in their 21 day Quarantine challenge. It was a great kick in the butt to get me moving and help me lose weight instead of gaining the "Quarantine 15!" It also helped me to build muscle. It was a little different since everything was virtual, but the trainers worked with me and gave me feedback to help me succeed.
Fantastic experience: My coach, Anna, is terrific. She has been able to both carefully observe whether I am doing an exercise correctly and clearly instruct me in the proper form. In fact, this has been done through sessions on Zoom due to Covid 19 I have probably not been the easiest client since I have some limitations and health issues that, at times, require adaptation. She has been friendly, encouraging, and professional throughout.
Fantastic experience: It was a little confusing at first but eventually we got it figured out. Workouts were definitely challenging and a variety of routines from core to strength. Demonstration video were useful as a reminder of the excercise motion. The accountability part was helpful since everything is remote - helped keep me on track. They certainly seem willing and capable of customizing the workout to what you have available in regards to equipment.
Fantastic experience: I’ve been really happy with the workouts at IBJI. They are both challenging and effective. In three short weeks there, my body fat percentage has decreased and I feel stronger. The workouts vary each time and everything is explained and modeled so you don’t walk in and have to figure out what you’re going to do on your own, as you might in other gyms. The trainers are all amazing. They are super nice and encouraging. I love that they really watch to make sure you’re using correct form to minimize injury and maximize your workout. There are clients of various age ranges and abilities so the trainers will modify exercises to challenge you in a different way when necessary. There is NO judgement here. I highly recommend giving it a try!
Fantastic experience: AMAZING place! I have never stayed consistent with a work out facility like I have with IBJI. I started with a 6-week challenge back in July 2018, and still going strong. The trainers are fun, engaging, and really personalize it for everyones needs. No hesitation peeps!
Fantastic experience: This amazing crew makes working out so creative and so much fun! The coaches are simply incredible and can modify for any injury. I haven’t felt this strong in a long time, and I can’t wait to see where they help me go! So grateful for IBJI, their amazing workouts, and the incredible staff!
Fantastic experience: Thanks to the Hpi Staff who shepherded me through my 6 week challenge! I met my goal of returning to physical activity after a series of injuries. I appreciate the attention to form that helped me build the specific muscles that were affected by injury. I have been a fitness advocate for a long time and am happy to have found this space for my fitness future. HPI is well staffed, well equipped, and well organized.
Fantastic experience: The entire Ibji staff was on their A game while leading the Boot Camps. The trainers designed innovative exercises which challenged me to use my different muscle groups. One of the aspects that I appreciated was how the trainers would fix my form when needed. Every time I entered the facility I was welcomed with smiles, they encouraged me to push my limits and made me feel that I could accomplish anything. I will forever be grateful for them.
Fantastic experience: 6-week Challenge was terrific. They address both exercise and nutrition. Never felt hungry, meals were large but well balanced and exercise classes were well developed. The trainers were terrific and focused on each participant's form and effort. Absolutely recommend this program and facility to everyone!
Fantastic experience: Love IBJI HPI in Morton Grove. Trainers are knowledgeable and supportive. They push and challenge me, but also are realistic so I never feel bad about myself after leaving a workout. Can't say enough great things about these folks!
Fantastic experience: This place is terrific! I'd highly recommend IBJI Health Performance Institute to anyone looking to get on the road to a healthier lifestyle. Trainers are knowledgeable in both nutrition coaching and fitness coaching. They help set realistic goals while overseeing every move to avoid injury during workouts. Trainers are positive, workouts are fun, and staff is motivating! I've done many different formats of group exercise, and have never seen results like I've had in the last 5 months at IBJI!
Fantastic experience: I highly recommend the IBJI Health Performance Institute! I started coming here as part of a 28-day Summer Slim Down Challenge and I have really enjoyed everything about the the HPI. The trainers are very good, friendly and helpful with form correction or exercise modifications. The workouts are very good and work every muscle group throughout the Boot Camp classes. I also got a meal plan and lots of encouragement along the way. I have definitely become stronger and can see my body changing in the short time I have been a part of HPI. Thank you HPI!
Fantastic experience: I am so grateful to the wonderful staff at IBJI for all their help and encouragement throughout the challenge. There’s not a “mean gym teacher” among them! I was really starting from zero and very intimidated by the idea of getting back in shape. Everyone greeted me by name with a smile. Each trainer was attentive, correcting me and guiding me through. They encouraged me, showered me with attention and inspired me every day! Thank you David, Izzy, Alex, Faith, Cory and Anna! You rock!
Fantastic experience: HPI is a top notch facility, has a terrific/kind/supportive staff, and offers a multitude of great programs. I did the 6 week weight loss challenge, which involved following a relatively restrictive diet, going to HPI 3x per week for boot camp workouts, and personal coaching on diet/fitness. The challenge was very motivating and provided a highly constructive way to kick off a healthier lifestyle. Now that the challenge has been completed (successfully), I gladly and readily opted to stay with HPI and continue with my weight loss and fitness goals. (Note to anyone unfamiliar or concerned with bootcamp workouts - drop whatever preconceived notions you have and give them a shot. The HPI staff is truly terrific and will make you feel both comfortable and capable. They all have my sincere gratitude and respect.)
Fantastic experience: I just successfully completed the 6 week challenge! I can’t believe what a difference this program has made in my life. For the last 5 years I had every excuse NOT to move forward..... -Next week! -I deserve to eat and drink that! -It’s too difficult - I can’t do it! -I don’t have time Sound familiar??? The first step was signing the contract. Being accountable. The coaches took over and then made it fun! They were are all dedicated to my success. I haven’t felt this good in years. Instead of feeling 5 years older like I sure did before I started this program, I feel 10 years younger. It’s not a cake walk but so worth it when I walk out that door after the workouts. And, the accompanying recommended diet made sense. I have decided to continue a routine and try the 7 day detox! Fantastic experience: In December 2017, I had ankle fusion surgery. I was rehabbing at IBJI, when I met Cory from HPI. He talked me into trying the HPI 6 week challenge, and I have never looked back. I have been utilizing HPI's training program for 14+ months and I am working out 4-5 times a week. Every time I leave dripping in sweat, after an amazing workout. The trainers are all super supportive, and encouraging. The workouts keep you striving to get better. The trainers, and the community of people working out make this is a great place to achieve your fitness goals. It has impacted my health dramatically. I have also seen many of the folks that join HPI make dramatic transformations. I highly reccomend giving it a try!
Fantastic experience: Before joining IBJI HPI, I exercised on my own lifting weights and doing cardio. After a while, my workouts felt stale, I was suffering from back and neck pain, and I knew I needed to make a change. A friend suggested I try one of HPI’s 6 Week Challenges, and so 10 months ago, I decided to give HPI a go and had amazing results. The Bootcamps are fun and challenging; the trainers teach proper form while also addressing individual needs in a group setting. Besides the challenging workouts, HPI has an incredible community of trainers and members in which everyone encourages and supports one another. You will not find a better place to work towards your physical goals with nutritional support and coaching. Today, my workouts always feel fresh, as the trainers never do the same workouts twice, and since I now know how to do specific exercises with proper form, my back and neck pain has diminished. I highly recommend IBJI HPI; you will not be disappointed!
Fantastic experience: I started going to HPI for Physical Therapy in December 2016 through July 2017 following a bike accident. I sustained a fracture to my left leg which required surgery. I was able to start running again in July 2017 (my recovery was predicted to be 12-18 months) and was released from Physical Therapy shortly after. This was 8 months post accident. When I started back running I was not very strong. My pace was slow and I was frustrated. So, I decided to attend small group training/strength training at HPI in July, but I was not consistent. In January I started my training plan with my tri coach and part of my training involves consistent strength training. I attend small group classes with Kenny and some classes with Dave. Both have challenged me and I have noticed I am getting stronger and more confident. My first race of the race season is proof of how well HPI has helped me. The results: I ran a Half Marathon this past weekend which was a tough, hilly course. It was not a PR but I went into it confident and very comfortable tackling this hilly course. I ran a consistent pace throughout the race. I felt strong and my race pace is returning. I do not believe I would have run this race as strong as I did today without the strength training I have had. I love my strength training class. I see progress each day I go to class. This facility has excellent, knowledgeable trainers. It is clean and well organized.
Fantastic experience: I highly recommend the 6 week challenge. The program philosophy and the workout team give the best support to help you achieve your goals. I started 164 lbs and left at 148 lbs! At age 49! I still can’t believe it and neither can my wife! I went in with a goal of 5% body fat reduction and I lost 8%! I look and feel great! Yes the diet was tough and the 18 workouts were rigorous but Ben and his team made Tu Th Sa 6-7am both fun and challenging. And Cory was a man of his word - he told me the 2way street is yes there is a fee but he said it’s up to you if you meet your goals you can either walk away with reimbursement or keep going. I really had fun with this challenge and I am a more health conscious fit man because of it. Big thanks to HPI and IBJI! Give it a try yourself I promise you’ll be satisfied.
Fantastic experience: The first facility I have been to that focuses not only on improvement of physical fitness but also makes sure you are free of pain during and after workouts. The trainers pay close attention to form and challenging you further to ensure that you don’t plateau. An incredible place to meet your personal goals!
Fantastic experience: I was recovering from a year and a half of pretty intense injuries/surgeries and had just been given clearance to start working out again but was very gun shy. The trainers/couches at IBJI Heath Institute were just what I need! They touched based with me to assess my injury history and then were always checking in on my form and any needed modifications during workouts. They are positive and encouraging and genuinely care that you are achieving your goals. They set the work outs up so it’s a challenge for all fitness levels. While I stuck to the interval training workouts these workouts were varied and they did a great job of targeting all areas of strength training, fitness and agility to get a well-rounded workout. These folks are such an awesome group and I’m so glad I found IBJIHPI! I would recommend them to anyone looking to get back into fitness, needing a jump start, or just looking mix up their routine with new challenges. All around great experience!

Fantastic experience: Working out there has been fantastic! The trainers are personable, knowledgeable and fun. I never thought I'd like workout classes but the bootcamp classes are great. I look forward to working out now.
Fantastic experience: I love this place! Jason, Chris, Kenny, Anna, Sam, Jordan, Izzy, and Ben are fantastic trainers. Everyone has their own style but they all worked to help each group help, encourage (aka challenge and cajole), and adapt workouts so that we get the most out of every class. The group sizes are just right and participants are friendly and have a “we’re in this together” attitude. I never thought I’d look forward to working out but I now anticipate class days and love feeling stronger and more fit. Thanks HPI!
Fantastic experience: The 6 Week Challenge has been an incredible experience for me. It totally encompasses the body and diet into one program that focuses on your overall health. The staff are incredible, pushing you hard but never making you feel inept in their effort. I will be participating in classes the rest of the year as I want to continue on this journey. If you are thinking about joining, just “do it” for your self!
Fantastic experience: Love IBJI Health Performace Institute in Hghland Park. Joined a couple months ago to improve my fitness and lose body fat. It has worked really great for me. In two months I dropped two dress sizes by following their recommended food plan and 3 group workouts a week. Even better is that through the circuit training and mat Pilates workouts, I have strengthened my core and no longer have pain in my back when doing regular daily activities that involve bending, etc. highly recommend as their trainers are super friendly, knowledgeable and readily willing and able to offer advice and help ensure you’re doing exercises correctly to get maximum benefit and not hurt yourself.
Fantastic experience: The staff at IBJI is amazing, they truly know how to train every single athlete and physical need. They are very knowledgeable and helpful in their approach to agility, speed, flexibility, strength and overall conditioning. The facilities are truly first class, especially after their brand new renovation to the fitness area. In addition, they now have yoga, pilates and massage therapy to balance out the gym work. As a college-bound tennis player, the staff has prepared me well. All of my fitness benchmarks have improved and I am lucky to have found IBJI when I did. If you need a great training facility with professional staff and a family culture, IBJI is the place for you.

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing. Between the facilities, the trainers, and the positive environment IBJI Health Performance is truly a place to succeed. To me this was much more than the 6 week challenge, this is a place to finally start feeling better and changing up the boring workout routine I developed over the years. The results have been progressively amazing. I’ve lost weight, I finally feel my core muscles working on a daily basis, I have more energy, and most importantly my back doesn’t hurt as much as it used to. The workouts allow you to really push yourself as well. I have been on the program for 10 weeks now and there isn’t a day I have left a work out not drenched in sweat. If you have certain movements that are hard for you the trainers easily adjust the routine for you. You decide how hard you push yourself. There are people that are panting after every exercise (me) and others that go slow and steady. Its your work out and the fact that you are there is all that matters. The best part about all of this for me is that my cardio levels have dramatically increased and my recovery time is noticeably better. My wife and I just spent 9 days hiking in the mountains at elevations of 10,000 plus and for the first time ever I had to wait for her to take the breaks. IBJI Health Performance has been a dream come true. If you are on the fence at all then you need to just do it. You wont have any regrets and you will feel great.
Fantastic experience: HPI and Trainers have truly impacted my life. I never expected to enjoy working out but every trainer there is truly inspiring and knows your name after meeting you once. Their circuit training classes are challenging but they help you get thru each one and make it easier to work out. I’m 15 pounds thinner and feel better mentally not just physically and look forward to workouts!

Their two-pronged approach — nutrition and exercise — garners results for those who are committed to the process. It is rewarding to exercise alongside people of all ages and fitness levels in a non-competitive, supportive environment. And even more rewarding to see positive results!!
Fantastic experience: Amazing team of trainers, even in a group setting that I’m in, they customize the work outs for each individual. With 35 +years of back and hip injuries I have tried various trainers but this is one place that I will continue with. The schedules are online and flexible and you can call in or reschedule any time and there is no need to stress out that you will miss your appointment as there are several groups trainings during the day or days of the week.
Fantastic experience: This is a great program. The exercises were tough but the trainers made it fun. The eating plan was great also. Never felt hungry thru the 6 weeks. If looking for a change in you health I recommend stopping here.
Fantastic experience: Best trainers and comrades to motivate you to get fit and stay fit! Trying to lose weight and eat better sometimes leaves you feeling like you're alone on the ship. This program is @ community and if you participate you don't feel alone.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic workout facility amazing trainers and staff. Went from over 19% bf to 12.2 in 6 weeks of working out and a strict but very manageable eating regime. A great community of people that helped me get into better shape and stay there. I would highly recommend this to anyone serious about making a change in their health.
Fantastic experience: I have worked out at many facilities and worked with many different trainers in the past 10 years and HPI has some of the best trainers and workouts. Chris, Anna and Kenny care a lot about the people who come there and make sure that you are at your best form throughout the class - challenging everyone there. I did the 6 week challenge and really enjoyed it. They were able to make the workouts challenging for myself and also modify it for others who had physical issues. I like how they keep the ratio of trainers to participants at 6 or less. This is a rarity at any gym. Highly recommend HPI.
Fantastic experience: Great place to work out! Everyone is very knowledgeable and willing to work with you at your skill level when you join up. They continue to challenge and push me during the workouts to reach higher than the week before. I would recommend HPI without reservation!

Fantastic experience: I was part of the IBJI 6-Week Challenge. It has been a life transforming experience! Every single trainer was fantastic. They were always positive and motivating. They made me believe I could go beyond my outer limit. They also took great care to make sure the workouts were fitting your needs and were always willing to modify exercises to make sure you were getting the most out of each one as well as supporting any limitations. The meal plan was easy to understand and follow. They were also great at providing you answers and feedback on any of your questions when not in the gym (Thanks Kenny!). The information you get from your weigh-ins also goes well beyond just the weight. This was a tough but fabulous experience. All the people at IBJI helped me find a new level of commitment. This is the best I’ve felt in years- thanks HPI! If you’re trying to do a serious “reset” and want to be guaranteed a program will work (if you stick to it)- this program is perfect for you!
Fantastic experience: Yea! Last day of my 6 week challenge and I met my goal! felling strong and healthy. I highly recommend IBJI Health Performance Institute. The amazing trainers gave me the motivation and kick in the butt I needed to make and see changes. I always felt like I was already a healthy individual yet i still wanted to be more tone a lose a little weight but seemed stuck. The individualized eating plan helped me to see food differently and how it affects my body. The trainers individualized attention during circuit training was amazing and made me feel like I had a personal one on one trainer even in small groups. Highly recommend!!’
