Fantastic experience: Mike is an outstanding personal trainer. He is patient, understanding, and motivating. Not only is he a great example of a healthy lifestyle he is also very invested in helping those around him improve theirs. If you are looking to make a change and invest in yourself, there is no better option than to have Mike Allen guide you in your fitness journey. I have been training with Mike Allen for 6 months now. I have been able to make significant progress in my goals and a lot of my success is because I have the right trainer supporting me. When I started, I was ground zero, very limited experience with weights and the gym setting. When I walked into my first meeting/consultation with Mike I felt intimidated, not only because it was all new to me but because everyone at Gentry Gym seemed to be focused, driven, and experienced about their fitness goals. Mike took the time to get to know me and find out what I wanted to accomplish. He made me feel comfortable and the best part was that he seemed exited about the prospect of helping me reach my goals. The first few sessions were very difficult, I had no clue what I was doing but he was very patient and took the time to explain everything in detail not only around the form but the why it was important to gain that skill. He gave me undivided attention during my sessions and ensured that every session was impactful. His communication while training and after is excellent, he provides consistent guidance and shares best practices to improve on the different aspect of a healthy lifestyle. He checked in to see how I was feeling with the training, asked for feedback on how he could improve, and incorporated the feedback that was provided immediately. As I started to feel more comfortable with training, he consistently challenged me to improve and to go past my comfort zone. He was very tactful, never putting me in an uncomfortable position but instead really supporting my overall development and growth. As I think of where I stand now, I know I have ways to go but I also know I have already come a long way. I have not only improved physically but also grown mentally. I can confidently say that Mike Allen is the right choice for your Personal training needs. Gentry Gym has provided an excellent place to train, great facilities, staff, trainer (Mike), and people. Give it a try and you won’t be disappointed!

Always saw how they welcomed new members, saw the love they’d put into the gym, how members turned into a family & I knew I wanted to be part of that. I made it a point to move to Harlingen just to be close to the gym and let me tell you I don’t regret it! There’s times I don’t even want to get a workout in but as soon as you go in, they bump up your spirit and whole vibe changes! Thanks Gentry

Fantastic experience: I LOVE this gym. Every time that I go in I get a great workout. Both the workers and the gym goers are friendly, and everyone working out has a drive to push themselves. It has a great atmosphere, and I even love the music they play to keep you motivated during your workout. It has all the necessary strength training equipment covered with multiple squat racks, benches, deadlift platforms, dumbbells, kettlebells, boxes, rings, and astroturf for sleds and drags. Although it is more of a strength training gym, it still has a couple of stairclimbers, rowers, and a treadmill. Plus, there are dogs up front at the lobby. What better way to begin and end a workout than playing with dogs? I wish I was living in the area longer just so I could use this gym more.

Fantastic experience: Love This Gym!!! So easy to stay motivated here and it helps that it’s literally 3 minutes from my house. I really enjoy the Family atmosphere every time I walk in the door.
