Unique leg press, a multitude of handles for all cable machines, lots of mirrors, well lit and well laid out. Easy parking too. Highly recommend this gym!

Fantastic experience: Made a special trip to Galveston just to go workout at this gym..Not disappointed at all well worth the trip..Owner very nice, the gym is super clean, cleaning stations all throughout the gym, bathrooms very clean. Excellent equipment..highly recommended..will be going back soon!

The day this place becomes 24/7, I'm going to break up with my current gym and jump here in a heartbeat. If you don't have a crazy schedule, is the perfect gym for you. This is the type of gym that you go and get your workout done and thats it. If you want to come and chat or sit on a bench with your phone, it's not for you.

Fantastic experience: I typically leave reviews of places I feel that people should avoid. But not in this case. This gym is absolutely the best facility on Galveston Island! There's enough equipment to not have to wait. The hours can fit almost anyone's schedule. The location is convenient for us personally. And the owner is a true professional. My 13-year old son is excited about working out because of the staff and how comfortable they make everyone feel. And I can honestly say, at 54, I've gone back to workouts that I haven't attempted in decades. If you're still not sure, just go try it out once or even for a week. You won't need any reviews after that.

The gym caters to everyone, whether you’re just starting your journey all the way to body building, from kids to the elderly, & everything in between! Fantastic experience: The Takeover Gym in Galveston is such a kickass place to workout at. Fully equipped with functional equipment that no one else has in Galveston. Great speaker for music along with a nice TV by the cardio machines. Owner Everette, TC, is knowledgeable in any and all workouts. He is a body builder with many many certifications under his belt. His wife, Candy, sweet as can be is the mastermind and admin/front desk boss. Though this gym is fairly new. I am impressed with the cleanliness along with customer service! Come visit soon, you will NOT regret it!

Fantastic experience: First time in this gym. The trainer was very knowledgeable and showed me how to use all of the equipment I tried; also recommended modifications that better fit my fitness level. The machines were clean, and staff were cleaning behind customers as well. My only critique is that the music was a little loud when you are in the front. Also be aware there is no AC (which was great for me), but if that is a concern for you I would recommend coming closer to the evening when it’s cooler. They do have fans to cool off throughout the building. Will be returning soon.

Fantastic experience: Love this gym! Everyone is so welcoming, from the employees to the members, if you have any questions they are there to help! It’s also very clean, cleaning stations set up conveniently throughout the gym, and the owner is really good at what he does! If you are looking for a trainer he is your guy, weight loss, bodybuilding, dieting you name it he’s got your back 10/10 recommend!! overall great experience!

It is very clean and welcoming! If you are visiting Galveston and need a gym this place is close walking distance from the beach!

Fantastic experience: I would give 10 Stars if I could! What a fantastic place :-) my girlfriend and I are very new to working out and we really didn't know much about the equipment. The owner took time to walk us through what kind of diet we would want to be on for weight loss, how to build muscle and how to use each piece of equipment. Not only that! But the equipment is well maintained and new. They keep it clean, covid safe and they're willing to help you meet your goals. On top of all of that, there is no contract and it's month to month. I could not ask for a better gym. I will go here as long as I live in Galveston

Fantastic experience: The equipment is new, the people are friendly and the owner is absolutely AWESOME! My boyfriend and I started going here November of last year and we absolutely love it! It's month to month which is a big plus, It's an up-and-coming gym, everyone is incredibly friendly and the owner is very serious about Working out. We ended up doing a month long training session and it taught us so much about our own health and how to use the equipment. If you're New to working out or you're a seasoned body builder, you have a place at this gym to this gym! I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who has ever wanted to work out and better themselves

Fantastic experience: This gym is one of my favorite Gyms of all time. The owner TC is one of the most genuine people I know, who takes pride in helping you to become your best version. I love how clean the gym is all the time, I love how all the equipment is always working, I love how you can come into the gym and find new things being added and updated, I love that you can purchase drinks, meal preps, massages, supplements and weight loss products all in one place. They offer childrens classes which my children enjoyed so much no other gym that I know of does that. The price is great only $40 monthly. I definitely feel at home when I am here. ❤️

Fantastic experience: This is a new gym. Very clean and new equipment! The attachments are super cool and are designed to hit multiple targeted areas with just one of the attachments. I absolutely love the owner. He's so passionate about his gym. He's a pro body builder and does weightloss classes and body building training. And it's like 3 blocks from the beach!
