Ivy Physical Fitness Center: Opinions
Fantastic experience: Great place. There is a lot of equipment to work out, swimming pool for singles and family's ,track upstairs, treadmills, Spin class area basketball courts, outstanding place to work out
Fantastic experience: Amazing gym. Anything you need can be found here
Fantastic experience: One of the biggest gyms I've been to. They have everything. Large selection of cardio equipment, free weight equipment, and machine weights. They offer classes on certain days like TRX, spin, HIIT, etc. The majority of the classes cost around $3 cash or card. They even have a rock climbing wall that you can use, provided you take a quick class to receive training. They have an upstairs track along with 2-3 full court basketball courts. Really nice gym.
Fantastic experience: If your complaining about it to crowded, I would suggest you stop standing around and making excuses for not exercising.
Fantastic experience: Nice family pool
Fantastic experience: Available every day, make the time
Fantastic experience: It has an indoor track on the second floor. Enough said!
Fantastic experience: Love to take my kids to the pool here. Great employees.
Fantastic experience: I served 15 years in the Air Force in another 15 years in the Army and I and I will say that this is the best fitness and I have ever been to out of 11 countries I have been stationed. It is a world-class facility. You will find all of the circuit equipment, free weights, and standard gym equipment you are used to. But you will also find dedicated rooms for stationary bicycle, TRX, yoga training and stretching, a full-size indoor basketball court, a full indoor swimming facility and family fun center. You will also find special amenities for physical and aquatic therapy as well as rehabilitation services.
Fantastic experience: I love working out here it's free and they have so much equipment, there's so many things you can do here
Fantastic experience: The place is nice, I liked going in. They have their social distancing standards and cleaning materials near almost every station.
Fantastic experience: Big! If you're not used to Army Bases. And clean. Ivy is more family oriented but there are multiple gyms on Ft. Carson to fit your particular needs.
Fantastic experience: Great facility on post. Easy check in, plenty of equipment, and the cleaning wipes dont have a putrid smell about them.
Fantastic experience: Nice gym, great for a good workout or some pick up basketball. Highly recommend for new Soldiers.
Fantastic experience: Positive: Professionalism , Quality Older folks can get correct info in order not to get hurt. Staff is very nice. Would be great to have instruction on weights. Classes to learn Cross-Fit. Great for mind and coordination also helps prevent alzheimer's.
Fantastic experience: A great workout facility; however, the best part of Ivy Physical Fitness Center is the clean, individual showers, so you don't have to make a long drive home after PT.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful facility, very clean and sanitized. Highly recommend you checking out this gym!
Fantastic experience: Nice clean facility. A lot of things available such as a swimming pool, Rock climbing wall, indoor basketball court, free weight area and cross fit area. This gym is the most diverse on post
Fantastic experience: Great place! Plenty of space to get on just about anything, even during busy hours. Lots of separate rooms with different types of exercise equipment to enjoy.
Positive experience: I like it but its too pack all the time. Plus all the other gyms are closed so you can't really get your usual workout done. It's clean at least but you can't use the sauna and they give complimentary towels nor do they have steam room. The facility could use a update but it good overall nonetheless
Positive experience: I'm a fan of the majority of Ivy. I frequently use the climbing wall (If you're active duty, simply sign up for the balay class on Monday and you're set to use the equipment for free every time. They just reset the routes, which is nice.) The weights area is relatively small in regards to how much use it gets; using the gym in the off-hours will allow you to use most of the equipment without waiting, but it's often hit or miss. The basketball court seems to be off level in spots, I'm not a bit fan of it. The others areas of the gym, including the gym are in decent condition, but there isn't anything overwhelming about them.
Fantastic experience: I love this gym. Has everything, a climbing wall, free weights, excellent and well maintained exercise equipment, a track upstairs, and a swimming pool. Too bad this is for military personnel and their dependents. Friends of a military personnel can go also. There are also handball and basketball courts. I wish my gym was this good.
Fantastic experience: Very high quality fitness center. Probably the nicest I have been in. They have many options for training but due to covid some of it is off limits.
Fantastic experience: Very good equipment and lots of machines. I never liked to go on Ft. Carson while in the military, now after separation I use it much more regularly.
Fantastic experience: Visiting from Fort Bliss and very pleased to find such a modern gym with so many fitness options.
Fantastic experience: Great gym. Well weight area. Definitely wish I went before all the health/safety precautions we're put in. But overall my first vist went well. But definitely think the company I personally had helped out tons.
Positive experience: Nice
Fantastic experience: This place is state of the art. Loved the options.indoors track, spinbikes with power meter a triathlete dream.
Fantastic experience: Well equipped, clean, and has equipment to support a big crowd. I like this gym.
Fantastic experience: My daughter & I used to go here all the time. Clean, friendly staff, and when the instructors showed up .....great yoga.
Fantastic experience: This Fort Carson Gym has everything from weight lifting to basketball courts, rock climbing and an indoor pool. This is one of the best gyms on an Army Base that I have ever seen! Have fun getting your workout in!
Fantastic experience: Love taking my kids swimming here! Staff is always really nice and very helpful!
Fantastic experience: Awesome gym, with very friendly staff. All the equipment you could need, especially good for beginners. And they’ve got a pool, hot tub, and sauna. Lots of cool classes too.
Fantastic experience: Excellent. Wide range of equipment and workout options. You have to be in uniform or have a military ID to gain access.
Fantastic experience: I was visiting family and we visited this facility, mainly to go swimming. The swimming facility is dated but there's plenty of water and it sure felt good! Walking out is when I noticed the "gym" part of the facility and I was amazed at the first class opportunities for a workout -- wall climbing, racquetball, treadmills, weights, etc. The Service men, women, and families deserve nothing less!
Fantastic experience: I was like a kid in the candy store. I actually did cardio on the stairmaster and recumbent bike. I look forward to making some serious gains here and gaining my youth back.
Fantastic experience: Love going swimming here! Kept very clean!! Large variety of work out equipment!
Fantastic experience: This gym tho. I wish all military gyms were this equipped. Indoor track, basketball court, 2 mpr’s, pools, nice weight room with four squat racks and 2 assisted, and a rock climbing wall! There are also classes. The multipurpose rooms have everything you need from kettlebells to all kinds of equipment for CrossFit like workouts. The only down side is that everyone knows about this gym so it’s packed during peak hours. I find it emptier after 9 and after 12. I dunno about the weekend. love this gym.
Fantastic experience: Love, love, love the acquatic center here! The zero entry family pool is so great for my toddler. Always a great time when we go.
Fantastic experience: Great places to takes the kids for the pool. Water is nice all year around. Free for military service and 3 dollars per family member. Also has a sauna.
Fantastic experience: It's a newer facility, avoid going after 4:30 because is always packed and not personal space to work out. The pool is huge and they have lifeguards on duty.
Fantastic experience: Great gym, whenever I am on Fort Carson I had over here for a workout
Fantastic experience: Love everything here, from the gym equipment to the rock climbing wall and the pool. The sauna is also great, so is the hot tub.
Fantastic experience: Always something to do. Many different workout events. Staff is always friendly and knows how to direct you to the proper place for additional information.
Fantastic experience: Amazing gym! The pool is heated and the life guards are always friendly!
Fantastic experience: Facility is beautiful! I do not have a lot of complaints-in fact, I do not think I have any complaints! Great, spacious, and encouraging environment!
Fantastic experience: Your ALL IN ONE GYM! sauna, whirlpool, pool with high dive, racket ball, tennis, massage, along with your exercise equipment. Small cafe, Wi-Fi, & maThe best gym I've been to!!! Definitely recommend!!!!
Fantastic experience: Likely one the best training gym in the state of Colorado. It has world class swimming pool, full regulation basketball court, indoor tennis courts, weights and more weights of all kind. Indoor rock climbing, indoor quart-mile track and more.
Fantastic experience: Awesome gym! Staff is friendly and courteous. Came here last year to get a membership and I was delighted to find out that it was free! Signed up on the spot, but I neglected to read the fine print. Now I have people waking me up at 0500 for mandatory CrossFit sessions along with various other aerobic activities. Lots of yelling and running around, but it's really a great weight loss program. They actually pay me! Not sure if they caught on to their error yet or not. Apparently I'm getting ready to "deploy" which, to my best understanding means they will be sending me on a nine month paid vacation to go overseas to another fitness center and continue physical training. Well, I better get back to work. I'm on a water break in the middle of some intense "Up, Down, Go's" and motivational yelling after asking my platoon sergeant if he had any chem light batteries or "pricky-7s."
Fantastic experience: Excellent gym for military service members and their families. It also has a rockwall, lap pool and kiddie pool.
Fantastic experience: super clean. great amenities....the cleaning lady will leave the cleaning caddy in the middle of the walk way and clean equipment while u are on it. but other then her it's a great place
Fantastic experience: This location is very clean, great selection of work out equipment positive people and atmosphere.
Fantastic experience: Awesome facilities. Clean equipment. Overall great experience. Going to be my regular gym for sure.
