Fantastic experience: My history with going to the gym was running on the treadmill for 30 minutes. I never really understood what I needed or what machines or weights I should use to actually get results. I have been coming to The Method for 3 weeks and I am already stronger and healthier. Each workout is rewarding and I really like the setting (that I am not in a gym with 70 other people). I highly recommend my trainer Tessa!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training with Victoria for the past year now and let me tell you… she is AMAZING!!! I’ve never met someone whose personality shines brighter than the sun. She’s kept me so motivated throughout & also makes working out so much fun. The method is also super clean and is a very comfortable environment. All of the staff are super nice and friendly. Wyatt’s pretty cute too.

Fantastic experience: Great place! Fear not, there's no weird bodybuilder energy here. Wyatt is a terrific trainer -- calm, focused, supportive. If you want to get stronger in a steady, injury-free, non-gimmicky way, The Method is your answer.

Fantastic experience: Working with Corey at The Method now for 3 months+ and I’ve never felt better. Going in with several issues including loss of muscle mass during quarantine, hyper-mobility and a lack of stability in my joints and hip dysplasia, it’s always hard to do workouts without pain. But with Corey’s guidance and careful attention, I haven’t had any pain in months, I’m building muscle and my whole body feels more structurally supported and healthy. Highly recommend The Method and the trainers there if you want to get stronger and have any special considerations health wise because you will end up leaving feeling better!

Fantastic experience: I have been coming here for 6 weeks and am already feeling stronger. My trainer (Jackson) watches and adjusts me to make sure I maximize my workout while not getting hurt. I also love the vibe of the place.

Fantastic experience: I go in for an hour, do a bunch of hard stuff I would never do otherwise, and get told I’m doing a great job the whole time. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: I have been working out with Jameson at Method for almost a year and it has been literally life changing. My fitness level was at a low point and I needed help to build strength and improve my overall fitness. Expectations have been exceeded. Jameson is a great listener and a knowledgable trainer. He takes time to explain why I am doing each exercise in the way I am doing them and ensures my form is spot on. Every workout is planned and tailored for me and my goals. I have worked with trainers in the past with mixed results - sometimes just pushing to lift heavier instead of really building strength in the right way. Jameson is very thoughtful and planful about every workout and I both see and feel the results. He is also just a blast to be with and the hour flies by. I highly recommend this gym and Jameson.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training at The Method for a year and a half. Highly recommend it. I generally run and bike to try to stay in shape, and for years, I used to go to a public gym to add in some weight training with machines on my own. But I couldn't sustain interest for very long. I’d get bored after a few months of the same routine, so would slack off, then return, slack off again. And I always dreaded having to compete for a parking spot during peak hours. I eventually let go of my gym membership. Now that I’m in my 50s, I’m increasingly aware that I need to work harder to keep up my strength. When a friend recommended The Method to me a couple years ago, I decided to give weight training another shot. The Method has been just what I needed. The facility is inviting and clean, and the atmosphere is relaxed, supportive and extremely professional. Working with a knowledgeable and attentive trainer has made a huge difference. It keeps the work fun and interesting. And it keeps me accountable! It’s been much more effective than working out on my own ever was. I’ve learned so much about proper technique, and I’m just sore enough most days to know that I’m pushing myself. My balance, strength and energy are better than ever, and I’ve found muscles I didn’t know existed (hi, lats!). Thanks, Corey!

Fantastic experience: I had an outstanding experience training at The Method, and especially because of my exceptional trainer Jameson! When I first came in to start training with them they were very receptive to my goals, but in a very unique and motivating way. They’re goal for me was to get stronger, and I can confidently say I not only saw results but I FELT them too. The Method helped me fall in love with working out again and feel confident about my body and everything I am capable of. Jameson pushed me to get stronger and reach goals I never thought would be possible for me. I cannot recommend their program enough!!!

Fantastic experience: My goal was to come here for a month and get my core stronger. I have sciatica and my physical therapist said working on that would help. That was 6 months ago and I am still coming here. Over the years, I have worked out at several studios in other cities I have lived in. This is by far the best experience I have had. I plan on making my 2 days a week at The Method a priority in my life going forward. It has greatly increased the quality of my life.

Fantastic experience: I was already relatively in shape so didn’t start training at The Method for the usual reasons. I started because I needed help stabilizing too-flexible joints that were starting to hurt. Corey has been amazing! He understands my goals and has a thorough knowledge of body mechanics to safely help. He pushes me -but never too far - and knows when and how to modify (even before I realize myself that something isn’t working for me!). Whether you are wanting to get in shape, stay in shape, or have special medical needs like me, I highly recommend The Method Gym!

Fantastic experience: I came to The Method Gym to help with my cross-training for an upcoming marathon I was participating in. Having previously been an athlete and a bit of a gym rat, I was skeptical of their method, but what I experienced has been truly life training. Their fundamental muscle concentration focus is like nothing I have seen before. I became significantly stronger during my cross-training program and loved the program and trainers that I decided to stay as a client after my marathon was complete. Couldn’t find a better group of people out there.

Fantastic experience: My experience with The Method has been excellent. Corey and the team are knowledgeable and personable. The enviorment is clean, supportive, and encouraging. This is a studio entirely focused on 1 to 1 coaching. The attention to form, safety, breathing, and appropriate progression really makes me feel comfortable growing and pushing myself. Their clientele have a wide range of ages and abilities, and the staff clearly puts effort into tailoring the training to each person's needs. I've paid for gyms and trainers that were not worth the money and walked away, but this has totally been worth it.

Fantastic experience: I trained with Wyatt to pull my body back together after a very difficult childbirth. He was patient, listened to my needs, and planned an evolving workout that grew with my ability. As a former professional dancer, I thought I could push ahead, but he gracefully kept me on track for a healthy recovery without jumping ahead into injury. The Method also follows a specific workout format that I enjoyed. It kept me gaining strength without getting bored of endless repetition, and it miraculously kept me from becoming too sore after each workout. I highly recommend Wyatt and The Method. Put your trust in their expertise and put in the work, and you will see real, healthy results for whatever you need: postpartum recovery, cross training, general strength training, injury recovery, etc.

Fantastic experience: The Method Training is a great place to go if you’re looking to get fit, improve strength, flexibility and mobility. The trainers are courteous and professional with clients. They listen and learn your needs while also teaching you how to best address those areas of concern. Before coming to this gym I struggled with climbing stairs, getting on and off the floor without assistance and with overall fitness. My trainer, Corey, has helped me improve in all aspects. I wholeheartedly recommend this gym to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Method is a great personal training gym! I’ve been working out with Jameson for over a year and cannot say enough good things about him and the rest of the team. You can tell they really care about their clients and put a lot of effort into getting to know your goals and needs. The space is never too crowded and the staff is very COVID-conscience.

Fantastic experience: I have been working with Jameson for several months and he has been one of the best trainers I have ever worked with. During the Covid, I developed neck and shoulder pain ( I think it’s typical to desk workers) and wanted to change my lifestyle to cope with the pain. Jameson paid great attention to my needs and recommended right exercise for me. It has been great and I can see the difference. I would like to strongly recommend to get personal training here.

Fantastic experience: One of the best decisions that I've made is committing to regular exercise and strength training with The Method Training. I started working out here several months ago as a new mom with a busy lifestyle, intimidated by gyms and weight lifting. What I needed was guidance to be able to strength train without injuring myself, and an environment that I was comfortable in. I found just that here. The gym is extremely clean with great COVID sensitivity, and the private sessions limit how many people are inside at one time. Wyatt is my personal trainer and he has helped me feel stronger than I ever have before, and looking much leaner and toned. He personalizes every work out to meet my needs each day, and he pushes me just enough to encourage me to give my best effort. I have been so impressed by the professionalism of the staff, and especially by Wyatt. I pride myself on being prompt and always on time but Wyatt always seems to beat me there and is always early. He is personable, which is a requirement for me given how often I see him, and his drive and discipline in everything he does is inspiring. Wyatt is flexible and works around my busy schedule, and has also worked around my occasional aches and pains safely. I highly recommend The Method Training and Wyatt as a trainer - it's worth it!

Fantastic experience: Solid gym. Wyatt is an excellent trainer. Helped me fix some minor muscular imbalances, put on lean muscle and helped me make solid gains across the main Olympic lifts. Would recommend him to anyone looking to put on muscle, gain strength and keep injury free.

Fantastic experience: I have been working out with Wyatt at the Method Training Gym for about a year and a half. I am feeling so much better and the one on one training allows me to pack in an efficient, great workout in an hour that would take much longer at a regular gym. The facility is small, which has allowed me to get to know not only Wyatt, but the other trainers, Corey and Jamison who are also terrific. They always keep everything spotless and have taken many extra precautions to keep things safe during covid times!. I highly recommend this gym!

Fantastic experience: I have been training at The Method for many months and am extremely impressed. I have done personal training in the past but this place is different. Running has been my go to exercise routine, however, as we age it is important to focus on strength. Far too many trainers in my past have pushed heavier weights and high-impact exercises which leave my body feeling very sore and fatigued and this is not the case the Method Trainers they develop a program that fits my goals all while ensuring not to injure or fatigue to the point of being too sore. This place is different. They are extremely diligent in teaching you how to properly move while lifting weights – so you don’t get hurt or feel sore for days after your workouts. All the trainers I have observed, progress your program roughly every month after you have improved, mastered, and built a solid foundation. They have helped me get so much stronger, improved my balance, and helped a ton with my posture (my shoulders were rounding forward and my back muscles were very weak). After every workout I feel great and my strength continues to improve. I whole-heartedly recommend The Method if you’re looking to lift weights safely and effectively. The trainers really know what they’re doing and are very passionate in helping people. Side note: I also really enjoy the private gym feel. No crowds or fighting for equipment and everyone is so friendly. I’ll never go back to public gym.

Fantastic experience: Physical, Passionate and Purposeful best describes the trainers at The Method Training Studio. The studio is stylish yet pristine! The music selection is and they keep the latest and best equipment on . I highly recommend this studio for people who desire the BEST 1:1 functional training around! Shout out to my trainer, Wyatt who is a walking billboard of health! ‍♂️

Fantastic experience: Positive: Quality 5 stars — Method is great. 1:1 personal training in a gym that isn’t crazy busy like Lifetime, etc so it’s highly personalized. Corey is awesome, super nice, and a great trainer…would highly recommend PT here for anyone in Durham.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to the Method training lab for about 6 months and I absolutely love coming here! All the trainers are so nice and very helpful! My trainer is Corey and he’s by far amazing! So knowledgeable and has helped me so much the past 6 months in terms of healthy eating and especially moving my body to its full potential! I’m not the most fit person but when I walk in I don’t feel any judgment and only feel warmth and positivity! The gym itself is also wonderful, great equipment and they clean after each client and everyone wears a mask . Never have a worry when I go! If you are in the area I suggest you come check them out! They rock !

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training at The Method for months now and it has been an incredible experience! I’ve been intimidated by weight training in the past and have tried every “fad” workout plan out there. My time at The Method with Corey has given me more consistent results than I have seen before and made me feel significantly healthier overall. The trainers are extremely knowledgeable and the environment is welcoming and not your typical large gym atmosphere. It’s really nice to feel like your trainer is really focused on you and creating a truly custom plan. The app they use to track your plan is also very motivating and convenient especially if you are a person who travels frequently to keep up with workouts and your progress. I originally joined to get ready for my wedding but know I will continue my training program long after that first goal!!

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to the Method for over five years and it has changed my life. As a former college athlete, I thought I “knew how to work out” but as I entered my 40s and now 50s, I found myself stuck in a rut, doing the same old exercises that I had learned decades with erratic technique and in a cycle of injury. The expert trainers at the Method have helped me to be fitter, healthier, stronger and happier. I am never bored and always engaged thanks to the team’s innovative strategies and techniques and they push me without overtraining me. It’s like I have learned to exercise and get in shape all over again. I cannot recommend the Method strongly enough.

Fantastic experience: I started working with Corey about 6 months ago with the goal of gaining strength, building muscle, losing fat and making exercise more of a priority as I’m aging (I’m 50 years old). I have worked with trainers in the past and thought I knew a fair amount regarding proper exercise techniques — come to find out my other trainers lacked the education Corey has. The process has been amazing: we started with a movement screen in order to address my weaknesses and assess my current fitness level. From there, he built a program that gave me a solid foundation before lifting anything heavy. Monthly, he changes and progresses my exercise program in order to keep me engaged and seeing results. I’m building muscle, gaining strength, and getting amazing results. Corey is always attentive and cueing me so I’m guaranteed to keep good form and stay safe. If you’re looking for a personal training gym and like the atmosphere of a small, boutique style center, I couldn’t recommend this place enough. The whole staff knows my name and treats me like a friend. P.s. the facility is always clean and well maintained. I couldn’t ask for a better experience, I truly mean that.

Fantastic experience: Wow!! I am so appreciative to have found this place. I hate working out but realized with covid and my working a desk job I really needed motivation. So I decided to give this place a try. I went in and had an evaluation with Corey who is very personable and down to earth. He paired me with Kaya whom I absolutely love, she is very gentle and kind. She shows no judgement and is very present with my needs and encouragement. I really am happy that I decided to make this move. I thought I would hate it and quit after the first month, instead I look forward to my weekly sessions. If you have any doubts there is no commitment and you pay as you go. Give it a try you will love it!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training at the Method for almost 2 months and it’s been everything and more. Unlike big gyms and their trainers, this is a small intimate gym where the trainers really get to know you and tailor a workout to your exact needs and level of experience. They make sure every exercise you do is done safely and efficiently. It’s a no judgment, welcoming and fun environment that makes you sweat, and I mean really sweat! These guys are professionals who give you their all and make you walk out of a session like it was the best workout of your life. Wyatt has been beyond awesome as my trainer (the other guys aren’t too bad either :)). I highly recommend that if you are serious about getting healthy and fit, then this is the place to be!

Fantastic experience: I am a former elite athlete who spent a year on the couch after an injury. I developed hip pain and was told I needed surgery. I wanted to move again, but couldn't begin to figure out how. Corey got me started and hasn't let up! He's knowledgeable and responsive to where I am physically on any given day. I am grateful for the one-on-one training, and the fact that this isn't a 'poser' gym. It's for people who really want to get moving in the best possible way. The facility is spotless, a big plus during COVID! BTW, it's been a year since I was told I needed surgery. Haven't had it; don't need it. I feel great. Thanks, Corey! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Positive: Professionalism I have been going to The Method for 3 months and it is what I needed. Nothing can replace a trainer to motivate you. Corey is great! I feel safe in there it is very private, most of the time it is just me and my trainer. Very clean.
