Fantastic experience: Great YMCA, nice people

Fantastic experience: I asked a question if the 'Butcher' Sled still is in the upper area on the rubberized Running-Track and can't find that / those response(s). This is a great Gym and Athletic Facility with great equipment for an amazing price. I just hope that Sled and Large Tire still are present on the Rubberized Running-Track on the upper floor.

Fantastic experience: Love the YMCA.I take water Aerobics 2 a week and sometimes on Thursdays at 4pm. I am grateful for the Y so I can work out and I met a lot of people and the instructors are awesome!!! Thank God for them.

Fantastic experience: Staff are consistently friendly upstairs and down. Never too crowded during the week day. Great machines in gym (though if the TV feature on the treadmills was activated, I'd probably stay on longer!). Lovely people in exercise class and a healthy way to spend time during retirement.

Fantastic experience: I attend the senior citizen center located in this building. Also I have exercised in the Y. And there's swimming also here.

Fantastic experience: Fantastically run facility staffed by dedicated and helpful employees. The fitness/workout area is not the largest or most impressive but it is clean and has everything needed for most routines. The activities gym is large for a wide range of games and sports. My personal favorite is the pool and sauna accommodations. The sauna has been closed during COVID but the pool is open for 45 min reservations. I am happy to continue my membership to this local establishment as they provide necessary community/after school programs.

Fantastic experience: New facility, very accommodating, personable staff, very clean conscious - before and since corona, fellow patrons provide a friendly community, can't say enough good things in my experience as a typical neighborhood gym goer.

Fantastic experience: It's got everything you need for yourself and for kids. Nice huge swimming pool, gymnasium, running track, sauna, showers, lockers, classes, events, even it's own dedicated parking lot, and few bus stops nearby. If that won't get you to bring your butt to the gym, then you probably don't need it. Good luck! Did I mention that some of the Pittsburgh's hottest eye candy works out here!

Fantastic experience: Covid restrictions apply and the stuff is excellent. There's a pool basketball courts, weight room, circuit training, exercise and stretching classes for all ages

Fantastic experience: Great fitness center with alot to do and the nice thing is that if you have a membership you can do classes for free whereas other places charge you extra. Me and my whole family go there forever

Fantastic experience: Great gym, amazing staff, very helpful and always smiling. There are a lot of classes you can attend with a great instructors. This gym is a GO! The only problem might occur here is parking, good luck finding it otherwise 5/5

Fantastic experience: I used to come this YMCA after arriving in Pittsburgh. Great location, with a friendly staff, and brand new equipment. Although I didn’t spend a lot of time in the whole facility, I know that there’s plenty of features for people looking for more than a gym place. I.e. indoor pool, spinning classes, indoor court, indoor race track.

Fantastic experience: The staff in top notch. They are very courteous and encouraging to all their members. The place has a lot of variety for getting in shape. Plus, Sashia does awesome artwork on the huge message chalkboard. Keep up the strong work Thelma Lovette YMCA staff.

Fantastic experience: They have a pool, a sauna, lots of weights. There is a huge basketball court with a track above to walk around. There is a cucyle studio and a childwatch area. They also have a rooftop deck where when its warm they will do yoga etc. Outside. Its decent and not really overcrowded. My membership price isnt that bad at all either.

Fantastic experience: The facilities here are clean and well-maintained. My workplace was here for a wellness day, and all the staff at the YMCA were very kind and helpful. The pool was wonderful, and the yoga class on the rooftop was a good experience, as well.

Fantastic experience: Love Thelma lovette Ymca. They have a great pool, sauna, indoor track, various cardio & weight machines, definitely love the classes and the instructors and staff are great! Also definitely worth it for the price membership.

Fantastic experience: I love this facility! Updated look, clean, and staff is great. One of the instructors (Gail) for group exercise is absolutely phenomenal! Child watch area is very nice. This Y is one of the best I have seen.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful staff! Very caring and treat everyone with respect. Wish more attention paid to some maintenance issues and cleaning in the locker room. The Y seems to be consistent with deferred maintenance in all their facilities.

Fantastic experience: Many free class options with membership. New beautiful facility. Family friendly and affordable. Thelma Lovette YMCA also currently have a diverse competitive swim team for children @6yrs to 18yrs old! Family membership also includes free daycare for young children while you use the facility! I found that option very helpful so I could work out when my girls were young. Free parking and safe!

Fantastic experience: Great community center feel with very well-kept, new facilities. They have a ton of youth/family programs and workout classes for most ages and ability levels. On top of that, the trainers are helpful and all of the staff is really friendly. No other Y I've been to is this good.

Fantastic experience: They are doing great things in the community in addressing heart disease. It's the only Y in the immediate area that offers a swimming pool and sauna. They have a basketball court, track, and both machine and free weights. They offer spinning classes, daycare, and free parking.

Fantastic experience: A great YMCA. The staff is very friendly; the facility is very clean. There are basketball courts, an indoor track, pool. Lots of classes like indoor cycling and yoga. Also, I very rarely find it to be too crowded in any way which is really nice. Easy access via bus or bike (bike station is right outside).

Fantastic experience: The YMCA system in Pittsburgh is a great bargain. You have access to all facilities once you are a member with each having a variety of exercise programs and equipment.
