Equinox Highland Park: Opinions

Fantastic experience: I own my own Consultation business so I travel all over &n I've been to most of all of the Equinox's in California & NYC. The Dallas Highland Park location is my home gym and favorite,. It's only maybe 3 years old but is super spacious & has a combination of the best of all the amenities Equinox is known for. Their's also a sumptuous salt water pool. Jessica is the best & most capable member director and the best personality of any Equinox employee I've ever met.
Fantastic experience: Good equipment, nice gym
Fantastic experience: I loved visiting for the first time. Clean, greeted with a smile and everything is so clean!
Fantastic experience: Morgan Bennett’s class are the only thing that keep me going to Equinox because it’s impossible to lift weights in the main area because it’s always filled with too many men, too little equipment etc. I will not be reinstating my membership here after my here though.
Fantastic experience: June 2022 update: The hours were extended on all weekdays back in March or April so I have kept my membership. Everything else at the gym is mostly the same which works for me. I have begun using the towel service more often and there are chilled eucalyptus towels available which is great for those 1.5+ hour bike rides. This is my 2nd or 3rd time reviewing this Equinox where I have been working out since January 2020. Everything is fine at this gym. I have no real complaints. However, I do want to bring awareness to a $10 per month price increase in 2022 that rubs me the wrong way and a 1 hour reduction in operating hours Mon-Fri that specifically decreases the value of my membership. I specifically go to the gym as late as possible in the evening to avoid crowds so I can get a better workout. Due to the shorter hours it is now more crowded at the time I have to get to the gym to get my workout in before closing time. Also, some nights I am very rushed to get to the gym if I have to work late or need to tend to other things at home before working out. The shortened hours combined with the price increase will likely lead to me cancelling my membership in the summer when it is more feasible to exercise outside. We'll see. Also, I think the management at this gym is anti-hockey, and perhaps anti-sports. There are usually some TV's on with NBA games or other sports. There are always TV's tuned to the food network, CNN, and Law and Order SVU reruns. However, whenever NHL games are nationally televised or the Dallas Stars are playing, there is never a single TV tuned in. NHL games are nationally televised on TNT and ESPN this year, the same channels that televise NBA and college hoops. When NHL games are on, the TV's that are normally tuned to TNT or ESPN are changed to a different channel. Even in 2020 when the Dallas Stars, the local team, were in the Stanley Cup finals on NBC channel 5, Equinox did not have any TV's tuned to the games and I would have to specifically ask for the channel to be changed. Equinox is more likely to have the Hallmark channel on than a hockey game. While Lacey Chabert's phenomenal good looks in "Big City Girl gets Engaged in a Small Town at Christmas" are a motivating factor to stay in shape, sports (specifically nationally televised NHL hockey) is better.
Fantastic experience: This facility is clean and they have new treadmills. I really enjoy their group classes and it’s great because they only allow reserving your spot 24 hours in advance unlike many yoga/ Pilates studios where it’s almost impossible to get a spot since they allow booking months in advance. I highly recommend - it’s worth every penny. Ramey, Bobby, and Chris X classes are motivating + fun!
Fantastic experience: 5 stars are not enough to describe how awesome this gym is
Fantastic experience: I really want to be a millionaire so I can afford to go there everyday.
Fantastic experience: A very beautiful and complete facility. If you go there be sure to check out the shop, lots of good stuff to choose from.
Fantastic experience: I like coming here. It is clean, and the staff seems to always know what they are doing.
Positive experience: Equinox is an upscale gym. If you like a clean, high end gym, you can visit them. Parking is a bit tricky but overall good gym.
Fantastic experience: Everyone at this Club is awesome. Enjoying my progress with the workouts and getting a seat cover for the bike seats help. Thank you Jeffrey and Hayden.
Fantastic experience: Positive: Communication , Professionalism , Quality Best gym ever! I have been a member for a few years and the staff is so friendly, the gym is extremely clean (even pre covid) and it’s easy to find parking. I have referred quite a few friends and they all agree. I’ve been to equinox in a few other states and this club is the nicest!
Positive experience: Very clean. Overall pretty good. Staff is very kind.
Fantastic experience: Best gym in town
Fantastic experience: Great facility, large and spacious, with dedicated spaces for yoga, cycling, boxing, Pilates, floor classes, and pool. Of course all the equipment you could ask for, and all in a well-lit space with plenty of windows. People of all types share the facility. Old, young, serious lifters, rookies, college athletes, you name it. Locker rooms are well-appointed. Plenty of lockers. Showers are available, but steam is waiting for COVID clearance. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Pricey, but a first-rate facility.
Fantastic experience: Great gym!
Fantastic experience: Great gym and amenities!
Fantastic experience: So far excellent customer service. Constantly cleaning up areas. Very good vibes. I will continue to post here if things changes. Price: I think it is reasonable for what they provide. I was going to another gym with almost zero amenities and was costing me 140-150 per month. Cons: It is getting very crowded and sometimes you can’t find a locker or parking if short in time. Swimming pools with only two lanes and is shallow. If you are looking for cheaper place May I suggest YMCA facilitates (very underrated) which has a lot of similar amenities with classes, excellent swimming pool, customer service and price is 25% of what you pay here. Different venues have different facilities.
Fantastic experience: Recently joined and absolutely love this gym. I understand it’s not like other equinox gym’s throughout the country but it’s Dallas after all and the price reflects that difference (half the price of EQ in LA). We love coming here every day. Great vibe and layout. Plenty of machines and weights. Locker rooms are well stocked, Kielhs products in the shower (including face wash!!!), razors, eucalyptus chilled towels, eucalyptus steam room, well attended with cleaning and stocking of supplies. Classes included — absolutely love the group fitness and yoga classes. Staff are all amazing, super friendly and helpful and encouraging. Insane how many people remember your name, feels like a great community. For being new to the DFW area, we appreciate Equinox helping us feel at home!
Fantastic experience: Love the spa.
Fantastic experience: Love this gym. It’s super clean, very posh and the gym classes are amazing
Fantastic experience: Needed to call them to fix issues at the Plano location
Fantastic experience: Equinox has been a staple in my fitness journey (such as it is) since 2016. The HP and UP locations set a standard for hygiene and courtesy that would be impossible to abandon. With that said, please don’t join because I want all the machines to myself ;-)
Fantastic experience: Have been a member of equinox since September. Always clean, spacious, and the staff is helpful. Great yoga classes, Thomas Rener’s is the best.
Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure to be onboarded by membership advisor Allison Mielke at the Highland Park location in Dallas. Allison is professional, welcoming and inclusive. My initiation was fun, including a club and spa tour. I recommend this club to young professionals searching for a premium club or spa experience in The Dallas area. Request Allison “Milky” Mielke for the 5 star experience.
Fantastic experience: Awesome clean gym with full amenities. Glad I got to get my workout in while I was visiting Dallas at this location.
Fantastic experience: Top notch facility. Professional staff. Equipment always in best working conditions. Big fan of the pandemic cleaning procedures above and beyond any other health club. It’s a classy place. They have a great variety of machines to spice up supersets with. Their classes are amazing. The Equinox+ app is the cherry on top. What else can I say?
Fantastic experience: In love with this location! I travel back and forth between LA and Dallas and I must say the Dallas locations are top-notch and very well kept and tidy. They are constantly cleaning the machines and common areas and making sure everything is sanitized. All of their staff, trainers, and coaches are wonderful. From their Kiehl’s products in the changing rooms and showers to their eucalyptus towels, everything is pretty amazing and worth every penny. This is a gym that makes you WANT to get up and go work out.
Fantastic experience: Best Equinox in Dallas
Fantastic experience: The BEST gym in Dallas, Love it!
Fantastic experience: Positive: Professionalism , Quality been to a lot of gyms and ive finally found were i belong
Fantastic experience: I'm currently a member of another top tier gym in the area. My wife and I recently moved, literally stones away from the Equinox entrance. Hence, I decided to tour the facility yesterday (and perhaps get motivated to actually switch one of these days). Allison Mielke, the membership advisor gave me an excellent tour. I realize she is a sales professional but she did a great job presenting features and benefits of why Equinox is one of the premier gyms in the area. Her follow up skills are top notch - She just dialed me earlier, not to put pressure to sign a contract, but say thank you for touring the facility. I did my research and outside of the shallow reviews about staff not meeting expectations, I'd say check yourself in the mirror. In life, you'll typically get what you put in. And If I didn't belong to another top notch gym and treated so well, I would've joined yesterday. Just like anything else, Equinox is not heaven, staff will have bad days sometimes, broker equipments happen, and yes parking issues, but heck this is uptown! But if you're accustomed to first class fitness facility in this area. I'd highly recommend checking it out. Call Allison, you'll be impressed.
Fantastic experience: I've been busting my behind, getting into the best shape of my life for my wedding. Equinox has not disappointed in making sure the equipment is always top notch, and in working condition. The atmosphere is great to work out in. I can do an hour workout, and still keep going because this place is so awesome ;)
Fantastic experience: Very clean, great staff, best front desk staff in Dallas. Equinox solve issues as they arise. They follow up on all commitments. Great trainers. The yoga is excellent. The facility phone app is wonderful, clean easy to navigate.
Fantastic experience: Great massages and customer service is fabulous. Frederick and Kyla were the greatest. I will be back and recommending to others.
Fantastic experience: I've thoroughly enjoyed my time as a member at Equinox for the past 3 years. The experience is definitely more like being a member at a club than a gym. The other members are very nice, approachable, and social. This is not the type of place where you run into a bunch of meat heads or gym rats. The group classes are diverse, frequent, and intense. The staff is fanatical about keeping equipment, floors, bathrooms clean and germ free. And the club is CONSTANTLY performing MAJOR upgrades -- most recently the flooring in the stretching area, adding a ton of new weights and machines, a complete remodel of the spin class including brand new bikes and a sound system, a new cafe, and the list literally just keeps going on and on. If you are willing to pay a little more for an experience that is much more than a sweaty gym, then this is your place.
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff and impressive atmosphere! Really enjoy working out at Equinox. Personal Trainers and Massage Therapists are very knowledgeable and care about their clients. Highly recommend!
Fantastic experience: I was just a guest today but a trainer, named Eric, was very nice and informative. Would recommend him as a trainer.
Fantastic experience: I'm trilled with my workout classes results.
Fantastic experience: This place is clean, I like the classes especially yoga classes. Good trainers and fun.
Fantastic experience: I love it. Has everything I need. Busy on the classic gym rush hours, but completely doable.
Fantastic experience: Happy that I am now back to my first excercise in a long time. I really missed this place. From now on only healthy foods.
Fantastic experience: Super clean, great trainers it is expensive but you get what you pay for!
Fantastic experience: Good training classes and friendly staffs, honestly even not everybody are super friendly but most of them are very nice.
Fantastic experience: A+
Fantastic experience: Terrific gym for those wanting a complete change in lifestyle.
Fantastic experience: This place is very clean and I love the classes here. I love to attend most of classes, make me feel great at my age.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful Equinox location. Good trainers and friendly staff. Amenities are what you'd expect and more from an Equinox.
Fantastic experience: All around good experience. Very friendly staff from the front desk to my massage therapist Zuleidy. My massage was great; she was very attentive and knowledgeable. I’ve also gotten a hydra facial there before and I was very pleased with my skin once my extractions healed. Walked out feeling amazing both times, highly recommend!
Fantastic experience: Great facilities, friendly staff, and an unbeatable offering of classes with some of the best instructors in Dallas
Fantastic experience: I love the group classes offered at Equinox. The variety of classes is unparalleled (cardio, cardio-strength , strength, yoga, pilates, boxing to name a few), and the schedule is great. There are several classes to choose from each day of the week. The class instructors are very welcoming and encouraging, regardless of your skill level. The administrative staff is very helpful and accommodating, and the facility is always clean. I use the locker room showers on a weekly basis, and it is convenient and well-equipped with hairdryers and essentials.
