Fantastic experience: Marshall is great as a personal trainer! Nice encouragement and guidance in getting an older body strong to continue an active life. Club staff is also welcoming as are fellow members. Clean and well kept!

Fantastic experience: I’ve only been a member for a week. I absolutely love Genesis Health Club! The staff is welcoming and courteous. I am always greeted with a smile. The other members are very nice as well. I have attended the new On The Turf Class with Matt M. It was a great workout and I met new people who invited me to The Centergy Class, which I loved! It’s a mix between Pilates and Yoga. The instructor was very helpful. I also love the Spin Class with Kristen. She is loads of fun and highly energetic. The facility is clean. Lots of equipment and space. My current trainer Matt M. Is so great! He’s knowledgeable, kind, and funny. He pushes you and encourages you through the workout. He explains how to do an exercise and why. I’ve learned so much in just a week. Things that I can take with me for the rest of my life. I can feel that I have made a life changing decision by joining. I’m so glad I did! You should consider changing your life as well and be sure to start here at the Genesis Health Club on Ward Parkway! Edit: I attended a Yoga class for the first time on 3/7/22. The instructor did not acknowledge me at all. This was my first bad experience since writing this review yesterday.

Fantastic experience: I’m considering staying in Kansas City after many years out west . Finding a Club is important and the club advertises 3 day pass . So I called one in Overland Park and the young gal who answered the phone basically said “ our club is so nice we only do a 1 day pass “ . I called Merriam at ward parkway . She was Awesome on the phone and in person. I liked the layout of the club and if I stay I’ll join . I ended up going to the “ Nice One “ in Overland Park and it was fine . The best part of my experience was Merriam or merril . I hope I’m close to spelling her name . I really want her to get credit for a 5 star review . Thanks young lady , you will do well .

Fantastic experience: Genesis is great. But the location on Ward parkway is only a great as it is because of the Queen Lisa that runs that place! She keeps it in tip top shape, encourages everyone that walks through those doors, and makes the gym so fun!! I love this gym and the friends Ive made there! The pool is kinda sketch though.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member here since 2005 and have seen the club go through a lot of changes. It’s always a welcoming environment, the employees are kind and supportive, and they have great free weight and cardio areas. Overall I have been very happy with this club over the last 12 years

Fantastic experience: We love this gym! We are so grateful they offer kids club/childcare Saturday and Sunday mornings (plus weekdays if you need) so we can come more often. The kids club teachers are amazing and the staff is super helpful. I love the facilities and the availability. Thank you so much for having the kids club open so the parents of young kiddos like us can get to the gym regularly!

Fantastic experience: This is my first time in this Genesis facility and I’ll tell you it was an amazing experience! I was greeted at the door and any question that I had the staff were quick to assist me. I was surprised to see that they had a sauna steam room hot tub and pool! This is like a country club compared to the other gyms. The staff was amazing and most especially Davion he made me the best smoothie ever chocolate peanut butter strawberry banana. Davion me my experience over the top! Shout out to the team there. Great job!! p.s. For the ladies, they even have products for that time of the month!

Fantastic experience: Love this gym. Has all the equipment I need for my weight lifting regimen and has great amenities as well as being clean. I used to go to lifetime and this is so much better than what they have for a cheaper cost.

Positive experience: I've been a member for many, many years. The staff are always friendly, welcoming and they keep the facilities neat and clean. Additionally, I'm really glad they finally remodeled this location! However, there are few issues needing correction. One, I absolutely hate their toilets in the female restroom! They are certainly not for adults, but more for 1st graders. (Much too low!) Secondly, absolutely none of the audio equipment on the exercising machines works with the televisions. They should just tape over it and write "out of order". Other than this, oh and the steam room does not work consistently, this gym is fine!

Fantastic experience: Positive: Professionalism I really enjoy the Chair Yoga class. Chisa is an excellent instructor. She explains all the poses and how they help your body! This class helps maintain your flexibility & mobility.

Fantastic experience: The only decent 24 hour gym in KC metro. Equipment old and relatively recent are intermixed. Upstairs cardio with plenty of treadmills, ellipticals, some bikes, rowing machines, and a climber. I only wish they were 24/7 (they close early on weekends).

Fantastic experience: Positive: Communication , Professionalism , Quality This is a great gym. It has all of the equipment a person could desire. There seems to always be multiple group classes going and the staff are friendly and happy to help. David at the front desk was very helpful today and Darcy, the club manager is quick to answer questions or help in any way.

Fantastic experience: Though this gym isn’t the closest to me, I prefer this gym over nearby gyms due to the staff and the environment provided. No matter the time of day, I feel comfortable working out, and this is also true no matter who is working out next to me. The upstairs cardio area is clean and a machine is always available, and the downstairs (strength training) area has plenty of machines and weights to choose from. This location is worth the drive and coming here makes workout out enjoyable!

Fantastic experience: Positive: Communication , Professionalism , Quality Chisa, our instructor not only provides an excellent workout using chair yoga, but informs us on why a particular move benefits us! She communicates her concern throughout a session that attendees not bring harm to themselves from incorrect postures or pushing one’s body beyond comfort levels.

Fantastic experience: Genesis is great - clean, personable, professional. In particular I would like to write a review about the Chair Yoga Class and the instructor, Chisa. The class is absolutely fantastic! It saved my life when open before and after COVID. Even wearing a mask it was worth every minute. The very best thing about this class is the instructor, Chisa. She is incredible - she is always in tune with where class members are; she gives us additional info about the muscles we are using in a particular exercise; she varies the exercises (never get bored); and perhaps most important , Chisa is a lovely, kind and caring person. This class would not be the same without her. Chisa deserves more kudos than I can possibly give!!!

It’s a friendly atmosphere that allows you to enjoy your workout and the staff is very friendly. Lisa is on the staff is always helpful and says hello. I have never had an issue in my three years working out here.

It has helped me with some chronic back issues I've been dealing with. Chisa is always very cheerful and gives great, easy to follow instructions.

She took the time out to handle my situation, she was very personable and professional. I love her!!!

He walked me through my options and found me the best deal for what I needed. I left feeling taken care of and happy with my new contract. Great customer service!

She plays fun music, motivates with a little sass, and mixes up the format, which keeps things fresh! I appreciate how she puts a lot of thought and preparation into her classes. It’s apparent that she is passionate about teaching cycle!

Fantastic experience: The staff is welcoming and they really do everything I can to make you feel comfortable. I was actually going into cancel after the pandemic since I Hatten been leaving the house and one of the amazing staff members set me up with the few classes and other things that I hadn’t even utilized before the pandemic and genuinely changed my mind about cancelling. Another staff member overheard how nervous I was and even offered to take one of the water aerobics classes with me to help me feel comfortable. Hands-down best gym service I’ve ever gotten. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I love the locker rooms! I love the two levels (and there’s an elevator for ADA)! The gym has always been sparkling clean! There is towel service and also a smoothies and supplements bar. I’ve not taken advantage of it, but there is also a childcare facility within. The front desk employees are down to earth and friendly. Group fitness classes are well attended. Rob Aubuchon and Chris Hempfling were not only willing but excited to help train me for bodybuilding competition!

Fantastic experience: For the price of 45-50 it’s a great deal. Towels and soap are provided. Because of Covid-19 you do it have access to the sauna or pool. They have majority new machines and good gear. The crowd here is a mixed bag some ghetto, some classy.

Fantastic experience: I love that everyone is so busy doing their own thing that they never notice other people unless you need their attention. Nobody passes judgement and it's an incredibly safe environment. Due to recent events, my anxiety has been through the roof. I take the swim classes and never ONCE felt shamed for not having been there. The instructors are ALWAYS happy to see me and most of my classmates remember me

Fantastic experience: The Ward Parkway Genesis has been doing a phenomenal job of cleaning the machines and making sure the facility is clean during this COVID19 epidemic. All the workers have masks most of the gym patrons are also wearing masks. There are sanitizer stations for your hands all around the club along with spray bottles literally every other machine to make sure everyone can clean and wipe down machines. Towels are available at the front that they give you upon walking in. I also noticed that even when customers do not wipe down machines there is an employee who quickly will follow up in that area and wipe down machines. The attentiveness to making sure everyone is safe is what I love. The staff is very friendly and nice along with the wide variety of machines that are available this is my favorite location.

Fantastic experience: I have been attending this location regularly since I moved to the area in 2013. The staff is always friendly to me, the instructors are reliable and I love the classes. The club has gone through renovations and there are some very nice improvements. Like at any gym, equipment breaks down and it gets fixed, there’s some equipment that will need to be replaced but, if it’s being used frequently that is to be expected. For me it’s a great value and convenient location.

Fantastic experience: All the staff is so friendly! From the staff at the front desk, early morning, late night, anytime! The instructors are phenomenal! Club is always clean and organized. Plethora of classes and times. Great gym!

Fantastic experience: this gym is well kept, clean, and recently remodeled. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful. They offer a variety of classes..Group cycle and All American Training classes are top notch with outstanding motivational instructors.

Fantastic experience: Genesis did a great job with the overhaul from 24 hours. The facility is clean and they have updated a lot of equipment (yes, some is still old and breaks) People come here to work out not show off trendy gym clothes. And they offer great classes. Personal favorites are Stages Flight and All American Training (though the upcharge for this class is a bit much). Kate Crockett makes getting up at the butt crack of dawn worth it. The staff are friendly and helpful and our manager Darcy always does her best to make things run as smoothly as possible.

Fantastic experience: I joined this club in March of 2017. It is a perfect location for me as it's close to work. And if I can't make it during those hours, it has awesome child care as well. The current renovations are almost complete and the gym looks awesome. Can't wait to see it finished and get to use it to it's full potential!

Fantastic experience: I love the classes and the instructors! They motivate me to keep coming back. The renovations are all great! The facility is so nice and the towel service is great too. You can’t forget the shake bar. It’s a little pricey but so convenient

Fantastic experience: I love this gym. I’ve gone to this location for a long time and during the last days of 24 hour fitness being in charge it got kind of sketchy. However I’m very happy I stuck it out, Genesis totally turned it around. In the short time that Genesis has taken over they have made a lot of improvement and more are coming. The best so far are the outstanding locker rooms. Huge, clean and very modern, I love the keyless locks. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Also you can't beat this location, super easy to stop by Trader Joe's or Target right after my workouts.

Fantastic experience: Ever since I joined I have more energy and stamina. Before I would be tired all the time and ache everywhere. My therapist and my doctor are very pleased and proud of me doing exercises to get me back in shape; I'm even losing weight. When I started I weighed 277 lbs, now I'm at 247 lbs. I love all the different machines and the classes that are offered. I also like being able to go at all times of the day and different gyms around the area.

Fantastic experience: Wide range of equipment, making improvements on the gym for the better! Friendly staff. Classes are great. Hoping they getting better stairmasters though. Otherwise, I've had a good experience with this gym. I go 5-6 times a week.
