Fantastic experience: Our family started off our holiday festivities at Genesis Health club by 103rd and Metcalf. 3 months to 63 years, we all had a wonderful time. We began with a basketball in the gym. We played like children. Then some did cardio and weights while others went straight for the pool, joined by the rest after they did their own thing. We finished in the hot tub and shower, refreshed and exercised. Clean facilities and helpful supportive staff. Thanks to all for working with a smile. We could not have had a better time! Fantastic experience: I have seen some complaints on here that you can tell are people who only give negative feedback, some are really petty. I went and saw my new friend Alex (AK) and he was very open and upfront about how the pricing works. If you do autopay then your rate is locked in for life. So $60 isn't that bad, in 5 years it will be very cheap. I like the comfort and friendliness. Equipment looks great. Very pleased with Alex and the classes and overall experience.

Fantastic experience: After a recent move, my husband and I have been looking into options for health clubs in our area. We stopped by Genesis without an appointment, and we were short on time. However, Ryan Thompson was kind to give us a quick, efficient tour of the club. He went above and beyond in customer service by gifting us free guest passes and informing us of a membership offer that wasn't available online. Although we did not join the club, I appreciate that Ryan was respectful of our time constraint, and he made a great impression on us with his "people skills" by making a personal phone call the following day. Thanks for the friendly tour and great service, Ryan!

Fantastic experience: Great staff, very central location. Ryan Thompson was extremely helpful and took care of me and my wife. This location is not very busy either which is nice. The feel of this gym is incredibly personal and the staff takes time to get to know you and tailor a personal plan for you.

Fantastic experience: This genesis is the best one I have been to in the KC area by far. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, they guide you every step of the way and don’t try to hit you with any hidden fees or anything. Ryan Thompson was fantastic and did a great job getting me both a personalized plan and great prize. Nothing but praise to Ryan and his team and this Genesis. 10/10 would recommend.

Fantastic experience: This facility is both expansive and complete with no shortage of equipment whether it's cardiovascular or free weights and resistance training. In particular Ryan has been incredibly helpful in setting up my membership and accommodating in orienting me to the club, Great job!!!

Fantastic experience: Pleasant staff and very clean facility. I drive a bit out of my way to use this facility. I have gyms closer to me but they are not as nice and well kept as this one.

Fantastic experience: Positive: Quality Ample aquatics and spas, plus sauna and steam room and brand new gym equipment. Lots of free classes as part of membership - good variety, and positive atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: Although the gym is awesome because of the Mari's Tuesday spin class which I love. She makes exercise fun, Monica's Friday morning class is tough but also enjoyable. My experience has been mostly with Bailey, a trainer, when I first joined genesis October 2020 I was a size 40, wearing XL shirts. I meet with Bailey every Sunday for about 10 months and really within 2 to 3 months I had to buy my first wardrobe change cause I was losing alot of weight. By April 2021 I had to buy another wardrobe set cause I was losing more weight. In about 5 months ish, I went from a size 38 - 40 to about a size 33, and went from XL shirts to a medium size. Bailey taught me about diet, 70% diet and 30% exercise and how to build a routine for success. I highly recommend her as a trainer.

The energy and environment is fun and uplifting. . The staff is very courteous and helpful. I highly recommend this Genesis location to be your gym!

Fantastic experience: Genesis Health Clubs in North Overland Park is the standard of what a great gym can be. Locker rooms are always spotless, the gym itself is incredibly clean. The big thing is the staff, the trainers genuinely care about your goals and make the extra effort to help you succeed. I have been working with Reese and he has been professional and has pushed me to get correct form with every exercise I do! I love Genesis and highly recommend it!

I avoided gyms for years because of feeling judged being overweight, but I have never felt that here love coming here! I have lost 40 lbs since joining this gym and can't wait to continue this journey.

Fantastic experience: The staff are extremely friendly, welcoming, and professional. I enjoy coming to the club and feel like they always welcome you with a big smile. The club is well cared for and cleaned very often. The only concern I found was the young children getting into the hot tub and the parents not attending to their children in the pool. For example, some families let the kids push and run on the deck and play a pushing game into the pool. I find this very dangerous and upsetting to the patrons who want to relax and enjoy a nice, quiet pool area or swim. Overall, the club does a wonderful job for the patrons and I enjoy my experience at the club very much.

Fantastic experience: Genesis North Overland Park has been a wonderful experience for me and my fitness journey. I'm a big girl with a long way to go, but I have amazing support with the staff here. I'm confident I'll reach some incredible goals. I first met Shishi when I came in for a tour, she answered all my questions and made the process so comfortable, I felt so welcomed I joined immediately. Jess gave me my fitness assessment, she was very thorough and encouraging with advice and a plan to get me moving towards my goals. She then set me up with Hunter for my personal training. I was nervous but Hunter really listened to me and helped me through each workout while challenging me but not pushing me past my limits. Hunter thoroughly explains do's don'ts with each machine we train on while keeping me excited for more. Every time I pass through and Jess sees me I love that she smiles and says "hi, Haley" that shows she cares and I'm not just a number. Shishi is equally encouraging when I see her, she always brings me joy and motivation to try more classes. I've really been loving the Aqua Surge class with Sarissa and Aqua Flow with Lea. When they aren't around I've enjoyed Mary's class as well. I love the water so it makes me happy to have the choice of indoor and two outdoor pools. I don't love how I look in a bathing suit, however, not once have I felt uncomfortable or judged by staff or members. It feels amazing to do what I need to do without worrying about how I look. I know how to swim but I wanted to learn how to swim lap lanes properly so I signed up for a few swimming lessons with James. He's an awesome teacher, very patient and knows how to direct me to learn what I need for swimming and breathing properly. Five stars for all the amazing things I've experienced so far. Each of the people I mentioned truly care about you and your fitness journey success. Highly recommend anyone considering a gym to come here.

Fantastic experience: Positive: Communication , Professionalism , Quality I am a holdover from 24 hr fitness. My home club is Ward Parkway, but I’ve been to most in the area at least once. Great amenities, friendly staff and clean place to work out. Recommended.

Fantastic experience: Positive: Communication , Professionalism , Quality I took a Zumba class while I was visiting and I absolutely loved it! Laura was a great instructor. She made the class so much fun and did a great job of helping me w my moves. Even though most people in the class were better dancers than me, I didn’t feel out of place at all. This class is great for everybody! Thanks Laura!!

Fantastic experience: Member at this club since 1999. I mainly use the pools, which are kept clean and temperatures are great. The staff works hard and is always courteous, helpful and friendly.

Fantastic experience: This is a great facility with a very professional staff, and we have met a lot of nice people. Leslie Oursler and I started coming to enjoy the outdoor pool last year and are thankful that they keep it open as long as the weather is nice. I love the water aerobics class and we both take advantage of the indoor track and other workout areas. We would recommended it to anyone looking for a good workout facility.

Fantastic experience: The staff is always friendly and will be there if you ever need help. At these gyms, I am always intimidated by everyone but here it is a completely different story. Even café staff is always nice and Leia is always super helpful regarding any membership questions I may have! :)

Fantastic experience: I talked to the manager, he saw my KC Strongman Games shirt and asked me about it. I'm a local Strongman and Powerlifting competitor, and told him about my upcoming comps. He was very courteous and communicative. They have a few pools here to choose from 2 large outdoor and a large indoor. Indoor jacoozi in the locker rooms, sufficient amount of lockers, and nicely maintained fitness equipment, the weight machines look almost new.

Fantastic experience: I have been to about 6 gyms in my life and Genesis is by far the nicest, biggest and honestly has the most equipment and amenities that I have ever been too. I chose the one off of Metcalf and they have an indoor/outdoor pool, sauna’s, steam rooms, jacuzzis and they offer so many classes Depending on what you are interested in. I am very happy to become a member at Genesis and I will definitely tell all of my friends/family!

Fantastic experience: Just had my first opportunity to go back to the updated gym. I had the pleasure of trying out the Combo 6 with Brett Boston. It was AWESOME! The gym itself is great, but the classes and the trainers there are incredible. Whether you are looking for a place to start or if you're already well into your fitness journey and want to switch it up to challenge yourself, you need to try out Combo 6 with Brett! Fantastic experience: Great remodeled location! Love the pools in and outdoor as well as spacious locker rooms with hot tub, sauna and steam room! Very large and clean lifting area upstairs. Always enjoy working out every time I go! Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: Positive: Quality My wife and I have enjoyed this gym and especially the pool area for last couple years. Joel their aquatics worker has been there for years and does an excellent job. Pools are well maintained and would recommend a visit to anyone.

Fantastic experience: This is a solid option for a gym in the area! I was a member from January-October and only switched due to personal circumstances that encouraged me to pursue a cheaper gym. Some reviews left me weary on cancellation, but I had no issues cancelling my membership here. When I told them I wanted to cancel they were pleasant and simply took my information. I was on a month-by-month membership so I'm not sure how much of a difference that makes. Nice sauna and steam room in separate locker rooms. All the equipment I ever needed for any of my workouts was present, and the staff was friendly.
