Ascend Fitness and Spa

Fantastic experience: I started working out & training at Ascend about 5 months ago. My Doctor recommended high intensity exercise, 2 X week for me and I was completely overwhelmed, at how to start... Erin and the staff at Ascend have been so welcoming to me and made feel instantly at home and confident. I enjoy working with Erin she is is very patient with me and always challenging me to do more.. Thank you, Erin & at the entire team at Ascend!

Fantastic experience: Training sessions with Erin have been great! She constantly mixes things up and creates a fun approach to working out. I also really appreciate her flexibility in scheduling sessions around my busy schedule. I highly recommend using Erin to achieve your fitness goals.

Fantastic experience: Great facility and the team is always friendly. Steam room is the best part! The locker and shower area is always clean. Did personal training with Evan. learned lots of new exercises and movements. He helps you in a way so you can work out on your own as well (which was my goal).

Fantastic experience: I had an AMAZING first prenatal massage done by the truly amazing Mr Halston! He made me feel so welcomed and did an absolutely fantastic job. The spa members were also truly welcoming and very professional. Will come here for my next prenatal massage and definitely recommend to anyone that’s looking for a fantastic spa and gym!

Fantastic experience: Recently moved downtown and while my apartment has a gym in the building I personally prefer going to a gym it helps motivate me. I immediately felt welcomed and was given a tour signed up that day. I then started getting training from Evan who has helped me build a little confidence as I continue my weight loss journey . Overall super great gym with fantastic staff 10/10 would recommend .

Fantastic experience: Great fitness center in Downtown Cleveland. Highly recommend. Clean and very well maintained. Most staff are so friendly and helpful! Female bathroom is well stocked with amenities -makeup remover wipes, combs, hairdryer..etc which provides so much convenience! Special shoutout to Erin Jalkanen, who's the operation manager/trainer at Ascend. She has been so helpful and accommodating since day one I joined the gym. Erin also paired me with a wonderful trainer-James VanAllen when I needed personal training, who was genuine, knowledgeable, personable and has the highest level of professionalism! Erin is definitely a gem and leads a wonderful team in Ascend!

Fantastic experience: Great facility, nice employees & the place is always so clean! I love the beautiful locker room! Request Evan as your personal trainer! He is extremely motivating and encouraging! He always puts his clients first and you will gain so much confidence! I always look forward to a workout with him!

Fantastic experience: Ascend Fitness & Spa is conveniently located on the 3rd floor at the Cleveland Marriott Downtown at Key Tower. Walking access is quickest from the 100 St. Clair entrance. Walk in, go straight to the elevator, and up to the 3rd floor. Parking is complimentary at the Memorial Plaza Garage (300 St Clair Ave NE, Cleveland, OH 44113), just ask for validation at the end of your spa appt. The underground garage is attached to the Marriott. The gym is well equipped with professional trainers and a beautiful retail area for health, wellness, and spa products. Quarma is a wonderful hair stylist; she is bringing my hair back to life! Curly hair is challenging, but she nailed it! Can't recommend the spa more - infrared sauna, terrific massage therapists, steam room, it's all here!

Fantastic experience: I received my first service at the Spa at Ascend and I was very impressed! I had high expectations because it is part of the fitness center which I have been to many times and is really large, clean, and modern, and the spa reflected the same high quality. The decor was very modern and allowed for a refreshing and relaxing environment. I had a massage, and the massage therapist was very knowledgeable and took time before we even started to ask about my preferences and even my goal for the appointment which I thought was a nice touch. Sometimes massages can be awkward but I felt really comfortable and like they really cared that I got the most out of my massage. I didn't really utilize the locker rooms much this time, but have before when using the fitness center and they are by far the nicest spa/fitness center locker rooms I've seen. There are tons of lockers and all the amenities you might need, combs, makeup remover wipes, spray deodorant, towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The showers are nice, fully enclosed glass showers, not just a curtain which is super convenient. They gave me a really comfy robe and some sandals in case I wanted to utilize the sauna or showers. Overall it was a great experience, and I would definitely go back and give some of the other services a try too.

Fantastic experience: The Ascend team is so welcoming! They have the best events and challenges. Great place for yoga and all of your fitness needs. From beginners to experts there is something for everyone! Now that The Spa at Ascend is now open too it is even better! The service providers are amazing! You have to try all of the services from Facials to massage to nails and up dos!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of this club on the third floor of the Marriott Hotel for more than ten years. It’s changed hands a few times and has had different management, but I must say that this current version—Ascend, is true to its name. Truly above the rest! From the full complement of fitness and lifting equipment to its dedicated staff, it is a wonderful facility. Clean and spacious locker rooms, showers and even a steam room for “Steamers”! Competitive pricing and open to hotel guests too. Stop by and enjoy.

Fantastic experience: Very nice fitness center at the Key Center Marriott. Great workout , plenty of equipment. Staff, including India at the reception desk was very pleasant and accommodating. Steam room and locker area were perfect.

Not only are you greeted by the amazing living wall with their logo when you walk out of the elevator, but you are welcomed by the most friendly staff members I have ever come across at a gym. Fantastic experience: Joined this gym after moving to Cleveland. Every worker is so personable and already knows me by name. The selling point was the steam room and the 2 hour free parking voucher, everyone should join this gym!
