MaretHouse Fitness Boutique Club

Negative experience: The gym closed suddenly almost a month ago and the owner never communicated in any way with me about it. I am owed about $600 worth of personal training that I didn’t receive and paid in advance for. He has not returned a phone call that I made to him several weeks ago when it first closed. He needs to reach out and explain the what has happened and what he plans to do about the money I’ve paid.

Fantastic experience: This is a great place to workout! It's very clean and they don't allow people to take photos or videos, which I really appreciate. Every person I've interacted with on the staff has been excellent, welcoming, and knowledgeable. I see a personal trainer who tailors workouts to my needs and abilities. MaretHouse is welcoming and open to people of every age and at every level of their fitness journey.

Fantastic experience: This gym has exceeded my expectations. It’s never crowded and is always very clean. All the equipment you’ll ever want. The staff is very nice and always welcoming. The personalized training is great and they work to tailor it to you individual needs. It doesn’t feel like your typical gym, the atmosphere is always positive, welcoming and fun.

Fantastic experience: Love this gym! It’s never crowded, doesn’t have a ton of college students, and has a great equipment selection. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Also love how clean and organized it is all the time. Little details like prohibiting videos and picture taking helps me feel safe and comfortable while using the facility. I’ve been looking for something like this for a while now, and am so glad I finally found this gym! It’s truly an honor to be able to walk through doors of a place that genuinely cares about your health and wellbeing (especially a locally owned business).

Fantastic experience: Cleanest gym in town. David and his staff are super attentive and care about their clients. It’s a nice change from the big box options we have in town that treat you like a number and don’t maintain their facilities.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this gym for 4 years now and can honestly say it is the best gym I have ever been apart of. This gym allowed me to cancel and restart my membership over and over due to being a college student and leaving during the summers. The moment I first took a tour of this gym I knew that it was the best choice. From the friendly and helpful employees to the extremely clean and welcoming environment. No to mention the owner is there quite often and you can definitely tell that he takes extreme pride is this gym plus cares for each and every one of his customers as well as his employees. If you are thinking of switching gyms please consider taking a tour of this gym to see the welcoming, comfortable, and clean environment. Fantastic experience: We were visiting from OOT and I tried calling about five gyms looking for a day pass for my daughter. I'm so glad the other places didn't work out. This place is awesome! Welcoming, clean, great music, great atmosphere..... I haven't felt this comfortable in a gym since the 80's!! Ooops, showing my age now. If I lived in the area we would become members in a heartbeat! Thank you David!! PS: When I say clean, I mean it..... absolutely no nasty gym smell! PPS: I really liked the motivational notes in the restroom too.

Fantastic experience: This gym has exceeded every expectation for me. As someone who has extreme anxiety at busy commercial gyms, switching to MaretHouse catalyzed my love for working out again! The staff is super friendly, inviting and helpful whenever you have a question about equipment, work-outs, form etc! I would recommend this gym to anyone and everyone in the BCS area! I have felt super comfortable in this club! If you’re looking for a smaller gym with an awesome environment (and equipment/showers/lockers…), MaretHouse is the place! :D

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been members at MaretHouse since January, and I can not say enough positive things about our experience. Coming from a large chain gym, the atmosphere is such an improvement -- other members are respectful and positive, employees are friendly and eager to help in any way, and the owner is kind and understanding. From our trial week, it was clear that MaretHouse is owned and operated by someone with a true passion for health and fitness -- the attention to detail is evident in the quality conventional equipment, unique cardio machines, and even the variety of grips for machines. Equally important, MaretHouse has created an environment that I feel comfortable in -- which makes me look forward to going. This gym is unlike any other in the area, in the best possible way.

Fantastic experience: A few reasons I made excuses to NOT workout: the gym is annoying to get to, I don’t like people staring at me, I don’t like feeling out of place, or awkward because I don’t know how to use a machine or free weights. Also the gym I was going to seemed germy, the employees were grumpy and not helpful, the equipment was rickety. So this is the important part!! Right when I walked in I felt comfortable, it’s clean, everyone is happy, the VIBE IS POSITIVE!! The equipment is NICE! I knew right away I would join this gym because I felt spoiled, and understood and everyone wants that! If you want a new, happy, fresh start ask me for details. Fantastic experience: Absolutely love it here. Recently made the switch from Golds and have no regrets. While smaller, the equipment at MaretHouse is much nicer and the gym is extremely clean. The owner, David, is a great guy that genuinely cares about his members, which is a welcome change from a corporate gym.

Fantastic experience: A place where everybody knows your name, and fun socks are worn on Friday’s. A classy, local, small-town feel. With an impressive array of fitness equipment- some of which I’ve never seen before. The staff is a diverse, collaborative group that clearly prioritizes the member experience. I appreciate the individualized personal training offerings that make working out both fun and safe. My trainer has taught me a lot, and keeps me smiling...and sweating. The plants and the essential oils they diffuse make the place look, feel, and smell great. And they have lights that move to the music. This is the cleanest, most vibrant, and consistently well-organized gym I’ve ever stepped foot in- for sure a gem of a gym.

The appeasing aroma awakens me when I walk inspiring me subconsciously to workout. The vibrant and vivacious color concepts on the wall breed energy and breath life into my inner soul.Second two none and state of the art workout equipment. There are myriad of varying options.Phenomenal personal trainers and personable staff. Philosophy and vision of the leadership/owners is top notch/ elite. Subsequently, once my 7 day trial ended. I just started looking for a gym being that I'm WFH and I greatly appreciated David giving me a week long trial and offering to let me finish it out, even though the gym didn't fit MY particular needs. I just want to say that David and Payton (Owners) have always treated me with the upmost respect and they truly love helping others. They are extremely kind-hearted people who are here for you and the community alike.

Fantastic experience: Aptly named- it is a boutique in the best sense of the word: it is small and focused, very clean, everyone knows your name, training is highly personalized, cute decorations, good music, and fruit, tea, and coffeee.

Fantastic experience: I have to say this gym blew my experience out of the water compared to any gyms I've attended so far. Amazing at how incredibly clean it looked & smelled. Since I have OCD, not alot of places can be so pleasing to the eye but not only were the walls colorfully painted also plants were placed generously throughout the gym which I absolutely loved. Felt the clean air. I'm all about the healthy life and it was super nice to take a breather with my sister in law and drink some stress relieving tea & snack on fruit. Clean, refreshing water refills, locker space, the windows in the afternoon when the suns going down were bomb. I'm awkward about working out around others, or with others but they really gave me my space and were still very helpful, I appreciated that so much. I just adore the atmosphere here, I'll definitely be coming back.

Fantastic experience: I have been going here for two months now and I have to say I love this club. The staff is friendly and helpful, from the owners to the front desk associate. The facilities are clean and safe and there is an abundance of new, very high-end equipment. I think the most important part is that everyone feels comfortable here. I drove by with some friends and pointed it out and they kind of snickered at the “boutique” in the name but I set them straight: this is not some dirty, sweat and fart smelling adrenaline club and it is not a pinked-out Barbie gym. It is a very clean, styled environment with the best equipment and a well-trained attentive staff that makes everyone welcome and will help you feel better.

Fantastic experience: The first thing you notice when you walk in is how incredible the place smells. Odd way to begin a review on a gym but go for yourself and you'll understand. The facility is beautiful, the atmosphere is amazing, and the owner, David, has handpicked some exceptional pieces of equipment. The team there is all about creating a positive environment for individuals to better themselves. Whatever your goal, they will help you work towards it. If you're tired of being a member at a corporate gym where they don't even know your name and want to feel like you're part of a family, go check them out.

Fantastic experience: (Actually it's jessi ) I've been here for about 2 months now. When I was shopping for a gym I thought I wanted one with classes and checked out a few but didn't like the feel at the ones I toured. But I stepped in here to tour and instantly liked the vibe! The staff is friendly but don't pressure. It's not a gym with classes, but more geared toward personal training (but not obligated). It's not your typical gym. It's very cheerful, colorful and happy. There are plants and fruit and things that give it more of a homey welcoming vibe. Speaking of homey, not that most care about showers at a gym, but these are like using a guest shower at a friend's nice home, nice towels, body wash, etc, and clean. So different compared to the normal high school locker room feel you get at most gyms. I plan to stay a member here for awhile. I like to refer to the gym as my happy place and this one actually feels and looks like a happy place. :)

Fantastic experience: This place is a gem! This is, by far, the nicest gym experience I have ever had (and I have been to many gyms). As others have commented, the first thing that you notice when you walk in is the smell--because of the essential oil diffuser there is no sweaty gym smell. Then, you get greeted by really friendly staff. Now, the equipment is what really stands out. The treadmills have access to Netflix and Hulu. There is a yoga wall. The strength training equipment is literally a bodybuilder's/powerlifter's dream. These machines were cherry picked, and it shows. There are rock attachments on the assisted pull up machine. There is a Nautilus to do hip thrusts, and angled away from the rest of the gym. Another piece was imported from Canada. Many machines move with you biomechanically. The owner, David, really did an amazing job building one of the best gyms around. Also, there is a really friendly atmosphere in this gym. The walls are bright, the music is nice and there is even complementary water/organic coffee/fruit. In short, if you want a great HIIT, LISS, strength training, or any other workout, this is the place in the BCS area. The price point is also extremely affordable. Highly, highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Came here opening day and have been here every day since! Fantastic environment to exercise. David has given me pointers to reach my lofty goals within my time frames. I like that gym selfies (without permission) are discouraged so I don’t have to worry about looking ridiculous in the background of someone else’s pictures. The equipment is top of the line and there are plenty of options. (I still hate cardio)

Fantastic experience: David and his team do a great job of making everybody feel welcome when they come in, and the whole gym is a really nice environment. All of the equipment is brand new and everything is always kept spotless. There’s tons of equipment to choose from, and they have just about everything you can think of, whether you’re looking for a cardio or strength training workout, or anything in between.
