Fantastic experience: Hidden gem in the Milwaukee area, I’ve tried just about every gym in the area and this one is the best. Emphasis on weights, no bs, to the point, we’re all here to get jacked. Great owners (+big puppers), fair rates, love it.

Negative experience: I honestly was pretty disappointed. With a name like animal house, it sure was a let down. In my opinion, it’s only a slight step above a planet fitness. However, at least Planet Fitness is clean. The front entrance wreaks of dog pee. The bathroom smells awful and is absolutely disgusting. Avoid this gym and go to Brickyard Gym or anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: I always come here when I'm visiting in-laws - reminds me of my home gym Los Campeones in St. Paul. The equipment is a little bit worse for wear and arranged too tightly, and the wet towel draped over the men's sink confuses me, but this place is loaded with personality, and I love it for that reason especially.

Fantastic experience: Lots of equipment, never crowded, reasonable costs with discounts for certain professions (range of $35-45 with a $9 day pass option), no commitment system of paying on the first of the month, and facilities are well kept. This is a gym for people who just want the machine/weight part of a gym...no bells and whistles. However, this is exactly what we were looking for after canceling our Vasa membership due to overcrowding and inability to get a full workout in. We especially like the variety of machines at AH! We are happy with our switch!

Fantastic experience: this is just a good old fashioned gym with plenty of weight to move around. it's spread out so you can lift without stumbling over other people and the owners are awesome. very friendly. I'll be going here again, I just wish it were closer because I'd join in a heartbeat.

Fantastic experience: One of my favorite bodybuilding gyms in the country. The best equipment, super clean and well maintained (everything always works) the owners work there full time. I make the trip from downtown every time I am in Milwaukee to train here.

Fantastic experience: I have known John and Karen for 32 years. Always end up going back to their gym after my lay offs because it has a great balance of free weights, machines and cardio. No waiting and perfect for hardcore, beginners and anyone in between. Just a warning, if you want to be pampered this isn't the place, they do not have saunas or hot tubs. They do have lockers and showers which is all you need. It's a Gym after all and the best in the area. There is a great selection of merchandise and supplements as well.

Fantastic experience: One of the best gyms you'll ever find. Truly a gem. It got every machine you can think of, plenty of deadlifting platforms, squat racks, benches, variety of treadmills and more. Staff are extremely welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere is great. The gym community here is one of the best you'll ever find as anyone meet are very hospitable and always willing to help. And the prices are the best I've seen so far for such a high quality gym. Definitely recommend!

Positive experience: Wanna get strong? Come here. All the equipment you will need to build muscle. I think they devote too much space for machines when free weights are really the way to go but at least it's not another field full of treadmills.

Negative experience: Overall male and female trainers are hard working professionals. They rely on clientele membership income, wish there were more gyms around this area for them to make living until then trainers are stuck in this garage gym. Besides that I will not recommend anyone going to this gym. Any 1-star review for this place is the true representation. For the 5-stars you're seeing is the oldest trick in the book of good old buddy-buddy system. Remember bussiness like this one promotes fake diversity by $$$ to lure monthly membership. I have no doubt that this bussiness is compose of fraudulent activities, unfortunately not my problem because we have government/consumers bureau/IRS to protect the public. I am really saddened by this review. Considering any unforseen hazard I don't want anyone else to fall in this pothole. Hope my review can save as many as possible.

Fantastic experience: This has been my 2nd home for many years and John and Karen are the best owners ever. Respectful people allowed only. If your not respectful to the equipment and others you will be asked to leave which is very nice. No one wants to go to a gym with such loud obnoxious lifters. Theres other gyms for that, this gym is meant for humble nice people who support one another and that's exactly what I feel every time I walk into that gym. A welcoming heart from every single person!

Fantastic experience: New to the area and have been looking for a new gym, visited animal house today, from a friends recommendation and as soon as I opened the door I was greeted by a friendly smile and amazing atmosphere. They explained pricing and answered all my questions, let me explore the gym and really made me feel like family and not just a stranger, definitely recommend this gym!

Fantastic experience: One of the best warehouse gyms I've ever been to. I've been across the country going to very famous gyms for fun as part of my hobbies. I've been to many gyms like the Montanari Brother's gym in New Haven, Bev Francis in New Jersey, Quads in Chicago, Westside Barbell in Ohio, Gold's Gym in Venice Beach, Armbrust Pro gym in Colorado, and I'm a member of USA Gym in Illinois. This gym is up there with all that I've mentioned. Their equipment is absolutely beautiful and the atmosphere is that of any high caliber gym. I highly recommend this gym for anyone in the area or if you're there for a Kevin and Stacey Tomasini show! There's a lot of IFBB pros that workout here along with guest posers. If you're looking to be surround by the best in the industry, this is a great place to be. The owner has a ton of sweet Bernese mountain dogs and is extremely nice which is rare to find these days. Don't forget to get some apparel on the way out. The quality of their clothes are perfect and the cuts are unlike anything I've found. Again, I HIGHLY recommend this gym if you're anywhere in the area.

Fantastic experience: I've visited this gym 10-12 times in the last 1 1/2 years and just signed up today. This place is absolutely perfect. The equipment is amazing -- just amazing (you'll see what I mean as soon as you scan the floor). The atmosphere is serious but also kind and casual. If you live in the Midwest and love to lift, Animal House is worth a visit. And if you live in the Greater Milwaukee area and seek a gym that motivates you, this is the place.
