Fantastic experience: I had my one year anniversary around October 8th 2025, best decision ever! The staff are great and so nice, and seriously, do yourself a favor and get a trainer! They really get you comfortable with the gym atmosphere and give you the confidence to keep coming back. Kimberly’s aqua class and Anna’s total body strength 45 class are amazing!

Fantastic experience: I feel this is the best club I’ve ever been to and they offer a lot in help and what to do for our own body and helps strengthens your body where you need for my body and you guys are so helpful and always pleasant to ask questions and you guys have always make me feel important as a person who wants to get well in my body and you guys are so so nice and I love the swimming and the instructor is so kind and makes you feel good about how we are trying to do the best are body can do never makes you feel bad that i can’t do it all to well but she said its ok that you are not doing as I feel I can do she’s the best teacher and she said the more you come to the classes and do the work the better you can do more and more!!! I feel so good when I go and there is so many nice people to get to know and make friends and they have all made me feel so welcomed to be in the class so thank you all for all you do in this most wonderful club and I know this is the place for me!! Fantastic experience: Great place except for only 1 shower in women’s area gets warm water, not enough private dressing areas in women’s locker room. Could convert tv and couch area to make 4 more private dressing areas so we don’t have to wait to change. Also many kids playing and hanging on pool rope and blocking lanes from people trying to exercise in pool. But all in all compared to other gyms 9/10 rating. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: Horrible don't sign a contract they will not honor 30 day cancellations and continue to charge long after your contract is up. I just got hung up on trying to resolve the issue ny the manager on duty and told over month ago they would cancel my contract that was a 6 month term, here it is today and another fee was taken from my bank account unauthorized and without permission. STAY FARRR AWAY FROM HERE!!!! No one seems to have answers and passing the phone around to different people. I will be contacting your corporate office. You guys are awful!!!!!! Rude manager on duty hanging up on me and arguing instead of trying to peacefully resolve the issue with a paying customer.

Fantastic experience: Since retiring here in Tulsa over a year ago, we’ve been members here. We love all the opportunities that are offered. We take advantage of the pool (water aerobics), weight machines, high fitness and Pilates classes. The staff are always welcoming (especially Ashley) and we enjoy coming here very much!! We’ve also met some fabulous friends at the gym!!!

Fantastic experience: I’m not a “gym” person, but the Genesis location in Broken Arrow has Water Aerobics on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, which is awesome and I follow that up with the Silver Sneakers class!! Guys, this is so much fun and the staff has been so professional and nice. I’m amazed at how Ashley at the front desk remembers my name and others as they come in and this is before they check in!! Come try them out, you won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: This location is big. It has two stories (cardio on the 2nd story). The pool and basketball court are in good condition. Machines are up to date and working properly. Very clean and spacious locker rooms. Friendly and helpful management and staff. I recommend Genesis to anyone looking for a top-tier gym at around 50$ a month.

Negative experience: Left message trying to get membership info. No one ever called back. Guess they are too busy and don't need the business.

Fantastic experience: Unlike the gyms I've gone to in the past, this isn't the "Muscle Beach" atmosphere where you have to already be in shape to be there. Sure, there are guys and gals there who appear to have worked out their whole life to get into the shape they are in, but most of the members are like me; older, weaker, fatter, and trying to make up for all the years we worked at sedentary jobs. As mentioned earlier, the staff is always friendly and I'm always greeted by name when I walk in the door. After months of being greeted by name by Ashley, my wife just confessed to her that we did not know her name.

Negative experience: (I will change my review to 5 stars if this things are addressed below) Been going to this gym for over 3 years now. But I might be leaving. Because I'm tired of broken AC, always hot In the gym....also there No Fans to move the air flow. This gym is very very hot and humid always. And feels stale in there. They need ceiling or wall fans to move the air around. I told them. But we're told the main boss is El-cheapo. The water stations are horrible. Very nasty warm water that taste like tap water with out filter. They need to change water station to new style like other gyms like crunch and 10 gym. And they need to clean the equipment more often. My hands are almost black looking from all the dirt after using some equipment or dumbells

Fantastic experience: We joined the health club in June 2023. Going to classes and workouts have kept us coming back faithfully 3-4 days per week. Love being greeted at front desk by Ashley. Really enjoy the whole experience at Genesis on Kenosha in Broken Arrow. Silver sneakers is our favorite

Negative experience: This goes for the other Ryan Short review. Never once did i mention HR or anything about them. All I said was horrible training management but nice try.

Negative experience: RESPONSE TO GENESIS REPLY BELOW: Thank you for your reply, but I feel the need to respond clearly and directly. At no point did I request private HR information about my trainer. My issue was, and still is, the unprofessional and contradictory communication I received from your staff. Your training manager left me a voicemail stating that my trainer was no longer employed with Genesis, as he was actively training my daughter-in-law at your facility at that exact time. That alone is a serious breach of trust. What’s more concerning is that when I spoke with the training manager directly, I was told my trainer “did not meet Genesis’ training standards.” This statement not only contradicts your policy of protecting employee privacy, but it also raises legal and ethical concerns. Even more troubling is the fact that your internal communication breakdown was so severe that I was the one who ended up informing my trainer that he was no longer employed—based on your team’s voicemail. That is unacceptable. This experience reflects a significant failure in communication, accountability, and professionalism on your part. I hope you take this seriously, because situations like this don’t just affect your clients—they damage your reputation and expose you to potential liability.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with the ongoing issues at Genesis Health Clubs in BA. My husband and I have been trying to use the hot tub for several weeks, but it's either not working, not heated properly, or the chlorine levels are way too strong. Yesterday (Saturday, May 24), the hot tub was broken again, and the pool’s chlorine level was so strong it was difficult to swim comfortably. This morning (Sunday, May 25), my husband called and specifically asked if the hot tub was working because he didn’t want to waste another trip. He explained that it had been broken the day before. The staff member on the phone said they understood and confirmed it was working — but when we arrived, the hot tub was still broken. This has happened multiple times, and it’s beyond frustrating. What’s worse is the lack of communication and accurate information from the front desk. It’s hard to rely on the facilities when staff don’t seem to know what’s going on or give incorrect updates. I also emailed the manager about these issues and never received a response. Members deserve better communication, maintenance, and customer service — especially when we’re paying for amenities that aren’t consistently available.

Negative experience: I used to absolutely love this gym—until just a few days ago. While I was actively training with my trainer at the gym, the training manager, Benjamin, called my mother-in-law to tell her they were letting him go. Yes, while I was still in a session with him—he had no idea. Shortly after, Benjamin called me with the same news. I immediately texted my trainer, and he was completely blindsided. They had already informed his clients before even telling him. That level of disrespect and lack of communication is unacceptable. Benjamin has been nothing but unprofessional—rude, dismissive, and careless. The new trainer I was supposed to work with next has also decided to quit, citing Benjamin’s toxic attitude and ongoing issues. It’s clear this is not an isolated incident. My original trainer is the reason I gained the confidence to step foot in the gym. He’s been instrumental in my weight loss journey, and I’m incredibly grateful to him. Wherever he goes, I’ll follow. We canceled our membership immediately and won’t be returning. It’s disappointing that corporate seems to turn a blind eye to what’s going on. Until there’s real change, I absolutely cannot recommend this gym to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I recently visited this gym and was genuinely impressed with the facility and staff. I especially want to give a big shoutout to Matt, who went above and beyond to help me out during my initial visit and during my time going to the gym. He was super helpful in getting me set up and going. He was able to answer all of my questions and come up with the best plan for me going forward. You can tell he cares about helping people. If you’re checking out this gym, definitely look for him — he made the whole experience way better and way less intimidating. Highly recommend this place, especially if you’re new or looking for a welcoming, helpful environment!

Negative experience: I’ve been a member at Genesis Fitness in Broken Arrow for a while, and while I appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, there are several ongoing issues that really need attention. The air conditioning is almost always broken or not turned on, which makes the gym uncomfortably hot and the air stale—especially during workouts. It’s also frustrating that some of the cardio and weight machines have been out of order for extended periods, and overall the equipment feels outdated. This is disappointing considering we pay annual fees that are supposed to cover maintenance and improvements. The showers take an unusually long time to heat up, and it’s not uncommon to see unsupervised children throughout the facility, even in the pool area, which makes it difficult to lap swim or focus on your workout. Policy says 11 years old, which the facility doesn’t abide by. Thankfully, the Genesis membership gives you access to other locations that are better maintained and don’t seem to have these same issues. I hope to see improvements at the BA location soon, because the staff deserves to work in a facility that matches their level of professionalism.

Fantastic experience: I was in town for a wedding and didn’t want to miss gym time. The people here were kind and took care of me. Very appreciative of all the staff that work here! When I’m back in Broken Arrow I will definitely be coming back here!

Josh is always super helpful and answers any questions we may have. The ladies in the Child area are so AMAZING! My kids absolutely love them and always looking forward to see them. I couldn't ask for a better gym community. The staff and the other members have been so wonderful! I am happy that we found BA Genesis!

Negative experience: This club is so absurdly garbage, that they can't even keep clean towels available when their hot water isn't working. How can a gym not have hot water available? In the winter? That is at least 2 Genesis locations with this problem--here and Midtown. This place has given up so much, that they have an actual coreboard sign on an easel, letting you know how disappointing they are. That is just embarrassing.

Fantastic experience: I just absolutely love working out at this Genesis here in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Now, I would like to call attention to those who work here and done an excellent job ... I mean these wonderful people actually go the extra mile to be of service for there clients. First, I'd like to mention Matt, because he is the one who signed me up . I think it's been 2 yrs. I just fell in love with the rest of the crew. I was totally impressed . There is Jess and Adrian who keep our gym spotless. I don't think I've ever seen such hard workers as those two in keeping a gym clean. Aside from that, they both are so friendly , sweet and kind. Making you feel a part of a family here. I want to mention those who work the front desk .... awe! Now, these sweethearts are one of a kind,. They know how to love people , treat people with respect, they truly are very respectful , have wonderful people skills. I'm sure all these wonderful people who work here are hired by a very intelligent and respected person who knows how others truly like to be treated. What a prize of a place we have here. So Bea, Izzy, Gi and Cortlan, thank you so much for treating us all so loving and with such kindness and endless patients. Lol I know I am probably serving at times. Thank you Rowdy anx Kale for the knowledge you share in body building , showing how to use the machines and all the other things you do , while carrying a smile on your face! I absolutely positively do not want to leave out our maintenance man.. The Man "ZACK" . He keeps this place running. Without his skills these machines would not run as smoothly as they do. Fantastic experience: I’ve been to many other gyms like the YMCA, Planet Fitness and more but Genesis Health club is definitely my favorite! Matt is the Manager and he goes above and beyond for his clients. From working with billing issues and concerns, to literally just interacting with you between sets or bar grabs. Nothing is ever forced either. The atmosphere is genuinely amazing. He runs a lovely staff too; the cleaning man and the service desk. They are all kind and helpful. They have a daycare and the staff actually likes the children. I truly have never experienced gym life like it. Matt Whitsell big ups family!!
