Negative experience: Horrible ownership. Charged “late fees” after cancelling over 4 months ago and even confirmed with us that our account was cancelled at the time of cancellation. Don’t give this place your credit card info. Gym is not well maintained despite consistently charging “enhancement” fees when the only thing that’s changed in 2 years is the name of the gym, the shirts they sell, and a handful of seat covers being reupholstered. There have been maybe 2 weeks in the last 2 years where every treadmill has been operational, with many having tears in the belts making them unsafe and a liability for injury.

Fantastic experience: Just started my membership and liking it so far. Jeff very polite shows you around. I do agree with some other reviews the treadmills do need upgraded one is broke another wobbles but rest equipment is good. I used to go to chuze but was almost always impossible get on machine you wanted cause of crowding. This place is 2 miles from my house and few people so can actually use equipment and get a workout in without rushing.

Negative experience: My husband and I like this gym because it is a small gym and the convenience it offers compared to other areas. However, after being here for 6 months, I’m concerned as to where the $30 annual enhancement fees are going but I haven’t seen new equipment. Yes, it’s a small fee but if everyone is being charged the fee, I’m wondering where is the enhancement. Maybe it is not clear to me, I’ve seen new customers but where’s the new stuff ? This is a legitimate question. I thought enhancement fees were meant to be used to enhance the equipment but I’ve only seen the name change and new shirts/swag. I’ve noticed there’s still the shattered glass wall mirror that’s been taped up and hasn’t been fixed. Treadmill handles are broken off. Looks like some seats of equipment with tattered seats got new covers. And what is up with the ellipticals not always being powered on? I get the circuit breaker turns off, but this is way too common. There’s one wonky treadmill that shakes when you run on it. Same with the treadmill where occasionally it is not powered on. Sometimes it just stops running in middle of running on a treadmill and that is an injury risk. Overall, I do believe it is not a bad gym. Update: We got charged another mid annual gym enhancement fee a while back but two treadmills are still broken, second to last treadmill is shaky still, and last treadmill is loud when running on it. I haven’t seen any other significant enhancement made to the gym aside from new covers for the equipment seats like I stated last time. This is a bit frustrating to see that people are charged an enhancement fee but we don’t see it? Final update: My opinion is just don’t go here. They made it difficult to cancel membership and was non responsive.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to X gym for 2 months now and absolutely love it. I just had my first training session with Jeff this morning, he drove an hour to meet me at 5am, and I was extremely impressed by his competence. The gym is rarely busy, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere is great. Whether you're experienced or just getting started, this gym has it all!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to X Gym for about a month, and it’s been a great experience. Prices are very fair, 30 bucks a month. The Gym has a small-town feel—everyone is incredibly welcoming, and the staff is very supportive. Been working with Jeff Bestemann, personal trainer, and he’s been incredible. He’s knowledgeable, encouraging, and really knows how to meet you where you’re at. Whether you’re just starting out or getting back into a routine, he helps you set the pace that works for you. If you're thinking about starting your fitness journey, I highly recommend giving X Gym a shot. It’s a supportive environment that makes it easy to show up and keep going.

Fantastic experience: Visiting from out of state. Went in on a Saturday during business hours for a day pass. Front desk worker was extremely nice. Gym was spotless. Bathroom was spotless. Great machines and free weights. Great music selections. Has everything you need to get big.

Negative experience: Terrible cancellation fees. Tried cancelling in November over the phone but continued to get charged through February. I had to go in person and fill out unnecessary paper work, just for them to cancel my membership. Not to mention they stated that they would CHARGE ME AGAIN in March for the final payment. You would think after using a gym for 4 years they would help you out a bit but not this place! Will be having the charges disputed if they continue. Plenty of better gyms in the area with more space and better contracts.

Negative experience: My husband and I have been at this gym for a few years now and we love the 24hr option! But we have not been happy with the maintenance of the gym. Getting up at 3:30 in the morning is tough, especially getting to the gym and the key fob not working. By now, it’s just a matter of chance if the door will work or not. There is a sign with 2 phone numbers to call if the key fob doesn’t work, neither will ever answer. At this point you just have to wait for someone to see you and open the door for you. Some cardio machines have been out of service for months now, which is fine, but not when the gym is small with limited options. We believe the gym has a lot of potential, feels ‘homie’, you get to meet great people, staff are super nice, but getting to the point where it might not be worth the monthly fee nor the maintenance fee.

Negative experience: I have been at this gym since 2014. I supported the gym through covid. My biggest complaint is the owners are not here. The place is falling apart. The Men's bathroom don't work most of the time. The equipment is broken. The main door is not locked at night. Nothing is updated or new. But I still get charged for new equipment. And the owners will not return calls.

Fantastic experience: A great place to call home where the staff makes everyone feel welcome, and the members are always considerate to each other. A terrific gym with great members! Everyone is polite and knows proper gym etiquette, being mindful as to not hog a machine or area. In an area where there are a lot of competitor gyms that can get packed during prime gym hours, X Gym stands out as a huge relief.

Negative experience: Just like any other gym. They only scam you! Cancel our membership, we paid the cancellation fee and we are still getting charged when our membership shows inactive and yet the manager doesn’t know why we are getting charged! They are just full of it!!! So I guess now we have to give them free money because they don’t know how to manage a gym.

Negative experience: Can't even access their website not worth the time even if it's supposed to be a good gym. CANT SIGN UP IF THE WEBSITE IS BROKEN

Fantastic experience: Been coming to this gym for a few years now and it's been great. It reminds me of the smaller gyms I would go to in the Corps. Equipment is maintained, I've only seen a few treadmills broken for a few weeks. Some feedback I do have is add another power rack for an additional space for squats and deadlift. Or I should try the Pit Shark lol. But overall, I'm really happy to have this gym close by and excited to see where X goes in the future.

Fantastic experience: This gym is amazing! I have always been impressed with the quality and cleanliness of this 24/7 access gym. It has all the equipment you could ever possibly need. The staff is extremely friendly. The environment and the people here are pretty great. Always offering a helping hand or to help spot. Over all a great place to workout.

Negative experience: The pictures show when i was charged by powerhouse, March 10, 20 days later I texted my wife saying i went in person to cancel bc i couldn’t believe i had to drive back after moving out of state to cancel. (See photos that include date) i didn’t take photos of any other proof of me cancelling because i didn’t assume these scumbags were going to put me in collections after i followed every rule they asked of me, not surprising because they obviously can’t afford normal hygiene upkeep and there machines are extremely outdated, the personal trainer that made me come in person to cancel didn’t even have any clients she was sitting around not surprised honestly because if you read other reviews youll see customers complaint about personal trainers then these people wanna respond with a paragraph justifying how no matter how unhappy you are with they’re service you still gotta pay them i own a local small business and if someone was unhappy with what i do i would gladly refund them in full but these people put you in collections to show how they need every dollar they get to survive. To cancel.

Fantastic experience: Xgym checks all the boxes of what you’d want out of your neighborhood gym. No nonsense gym that has all the equipment you’d need without being overcrowded or having to wait forever to get on a machine. Staff is friendly and helpful. Been coming here for 2 years and will continue to do so as long as I live in the area. Keep it up.

Fantastic experience: Visiting family in the area so I came in for a day pass and had an amazing pump. All though gym is small has everything you need with some of the best equipment. Look forward to coming back when I have a chance!

Negative experience: Seems like a good gym. But, membership service is garbage. Two months to try to cancel subscription. Some third party management company wants to take your money but not answer calls or emails. I emailed to cancel. Several weeks later, “We’re sorry, did you not get an automated email to say that’s the wrong email”. Well, you got it but sat on it. How about holding your management company accountable to do something. Instead we’ll tack another $50 on. As I type this I’m again half an hour on hold to try to just cancel. Felt like I was supporting a local business using this gym instead of the big names. Guess I was wrong

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend X Gym! There’s a wide variety of equipment and machines to suit your goals. The staff is friendly and always available. The gym itself is clean and safe and the costs are totally reasonable. Basically, the distractions of other gyms don’t exist at X Gym so you can easily just focus on your gains! I’ve seen so much progress in my lift it’s crazy - highly recommend!

Negative experience: I had a gym membership for a year. I called in when I was out of town to cancel my membership in JULY to which I was advised it was. Looks like the last few months, they have been charging me for my gym membership. When I called in again in NOVEMBER to figure out why that was, she told me they had nothing on file for me and that was that. The gym is a waste of your time. Go somewhere else and save the hassle of dealing with these places that can’t seem to figure it out!!

Positive experience: Be cautious when considering canceling your membership with this gym. While the gym itself is decent and aligns with the monthly fees in terms of equipment and the people, the cancellation process is quite baffling, especially for someone working in the tech industry like me. I attempted to initiate the cancellation through various means, including sending emails to multiple addresses they had used to contact me previously and even a Facebook message. Despite seeing that they had read my message, there was no response. When I called the gym, they informed me that I had to cancel in person and complete paperwork. This was perplexing because I had initially signed up online, and they had previously requested digital documentation, such as a picture of my card when it expired. So, the question arose: why couldn't they allow for a digital cancellation? Now, let's delve into the "paperwork" aspect. I hadn't visited the gym in three months, ever since I moved to Fort Collins. I admittedly forgot about the membership, and it didn't even cross my mind to cancel it when I was there. After making an hour and a half drive to the gym from Fort Collins, I discovered that the paperwork process was equally perplexing. The staff asked for my name, pulled up my information on a screen (which was facing me, exposing other clients' personal information with no apparent concern for privacy). Then, they requested that I write my name again on a piece of paper, along with my address, the date (twice), and the reason for the cancellation. That was it! And I couldn't help but wonder why this couldn't have been accomplished via email. To add to the frustration, I'll also be charged for next month's fees because, at that point, I was only ten days away from the next billing cycle, and they required a 30-day notice for cancellations. So, another month's fees for supposed "improvements" to the gym. Speaking of which, I can't help but ponder whether they'll also charge me for the annual "ENHANCE FEE," which, as far as I remember, was typically due at the end of the year. In a world where subscriptions abound, this gym's cancellation process is beyond comprehension for someone like me. I might as well read the Netflix terms to check if they also demand an additional month's payment after cancellation.

Fantastic experience: It’s so nice finding your people when you’re traveling to other cities. This gym has everything you need and the staff are so cool. I know where I’m training when I’m back in Denver.

Negative experience: Do not sign a contract with them or you will end up in collections. I contacted them multiple times over phone and e-mail could never get a response of my actual payoff amount to cancel the membership, months later a collection agency reaches out. I ended up with late fees and months of not knowing I was getting charged. After asking multiple times they will just quit responding. It seems they handle things very unprofessionally here and from looking at others comments they have had the same issue. Every gym in the Denver metro area is a better choice in my opinion. Only perk to this gym is being open 24/7 and that’s all they have going for them. Not sure it will be open much longer being ran this way!

Negative experience: I was actually going to check this gym out as I have loved Powerhouse gyms in the past. However, after reading the owners responses to the reviews on cancelations. I’ve decided to look elsewhere. I don’t want to pay for a place that condescends its guests when all of the lower rated reviews seemingly have the same issue with the cancellation policy. I would think a saavy business owner would express clearly the policies and reiterate them if everyone seems to have the same issue.

Fantastic experience: I love Powerhouse! I've been a member over 2 years now and it's the longest I've been with a gym consistently. It's never too busy, veteran owned, has quality supplements, and everyone is so nice and respectful of equipment. I've learned how to correctly lift weights here thanks to the best trainer I've ever had (Jacqueline, co-owner). The owners are great people who care about and are always improving the gym and the manager Steve is not only badass but is willing to help with anything (I ask for form checks and how to use equipment all the time). I highly recommend anyone experienced to novice to join, it's a great community.

Fantastic experience: This is by far the best gym I have been to. The staff is very supportive and they have all the products you need to help achieve your goals. The owners are always on point and easily obtainable for any questions you may have. The other members are very friendly and helpful also, just a great environment!!

Negative experience: Went here a few times with my partner and had negative experiences each time. The one positive was being greeted by Natasha when she worked there. There are way to many machines for cardio and the layout of equipment doesn't flow well. The regulars/members do not practice proper gym nor lifting etiquette -- guys tend to walk in front of you when using the mirror, no common courtesy from members nor owners about posting gym etiquette. Being the son of a bodybuilder, I know that following proper procedure and form in the gym is more important than lifting weights. Additionally, I never saw the owners in the space and I went during normal business hours (9am-5pm, M-F) so that was concerning as a fellow small business owner. Also reading the other review replies from the owner - -wow, he has time to be a pompous gym owner and act like he owns the world with money, yet can't address the ISSUES that are extant? If numerous individuals express issues with your contract, then you need to revise and edit that dude. Who cares that you're a "small business owner" - -fix your mistakes instead of being a child about them. Pushing the "responsibility" onto your customers is extremely corporate, not small business.

Negative experience: About a year ago, I decided to cancel my membership. I was fully aware of my cancelation fee. I emailed them twice to cancel. Always taken weeks to answer. Fast forward a year, I was sent to collections for not paying my membership that I clearly tried to cancel (twice). Good thing I have proof of all of this (emails). Horrible costumer service.

Negative experience: In response to the personal training contract- it was not a kindness. It was a breach of contract that I had no obligation to fulfill since you did not honor your contractual obligation. There are many reviews discussing the difficulty cancelling a contract, there must be some truth to it. I have to feel strongly to leave reviews and I rarely do. I think you should have fair warning. The gym (ownership) is great while you sign up. I was told I would have personal training available 1-2 times a week. Initially, Jacqueline started working me. I was quickly handed off to a trainer that never actually worked with me. I tried to contact the trainer to schedule and never heard back. I was then given another trainer who cancelled constantly and stopped working with the gym. There was no follow up or follow through on their part. I continued working out on my own preferring early mornings. The key fab scanner at the front door was routinely broken and you couldn’t get in. Super frustrating at 6am. Like the other reviews have said cancelling your contract is a nightmare. I paid through my one year contract and made them aware that I wanted to cancel far in advance. There wasn’t any follow up or interest concerning my very early notification to cancel. They lack professionalism . Very poor business practices are in place here.

Fantastic experience: First of all, the staff is always cheerful and inviting. When I come in the mornings I see the staff members cleaning the equipment and I see a cleaning crew some nights when I come in late night. I usually never have to wait for any equipment no matter what time I come in. It is 24 hours and you can even have access on Thanksgiving or Christmas to work off those holiday meals. I have been in and out of gyms in this area for about 20 years and this one by far is the best. I only pay $25 a month and get unlimited access. For $25 you could get 5 cheeseburgers or a whole month of paying for your health. If you live in the North Metro suburbs, you NEED to sign up here before you waste your time with any other gyms!!

Fantastic experience: Recently had to cancel my membership due to moving. This was by far the best gym I've been to in the area while I lived around there. It's a smaller gym, but really has everything you need. The staff is supportive and helpful. 24 hr access as well, so it's easy to go during off peak hours. Even during peak hours, I never had to wait for equipment to open up. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Love this gym. 24 hour access, small community vibe, and a bunch of different equipment. They recently got a leg curl and lat raise machine that let you adjust where peak resistance is (beginning, end, etc.) and it's badass. Staff is friendly, good personal trainers, and the owner Jeff is actually involved in the day to day.

Positive experience: Great environment! They have many options for machines, free weights, and cable machines. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and open for conversation. The only downside is they don't have additional amenities such as sauna, hot tub, pool etc but it truly is the place to go if you are serious or wanting to become serious about your fitness journey!

Fantastic experience: I'll initially gave 1 star because the contract was a little hectic to cancel however Steve (local manager) understood my issue, and he went above and beyond to assist me. Great customer service, well maintained gym and equipment, not crowded, I definitely recommend this gym. I would go here again when I can!

Fantastic experience: Compared to some of the other gyms that I have been in, this gym is a GEM! In all honesty, this place is very clean and organized. The music played is nice so if you forgot your music at home, their music will do. The equipment looks VERY WELL taken care of. On a stressful day for me, this place is open for members 24/7 so I can come in at like 1AM with my member card, swipe, then there I am in work-out mode to de-stress. Did I mention clean? Most people that work outs here seems very respectful of the rules so I am definitely glad. The staff here are friendly and professional. Definitely give this place a try :)

Fantastic experience: Came in because it was close to our hotel. One day pass is $15 and that’s a little expensive, however, the people are nice, the gym hasn’t been filled to capacity the couple times I’ve been in, and it’s a nice clean place. If I lived in Denver, I’d go here. Customer service goes above and beyond, they genuinely seem to care about you. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had been a member of a variety of gyms in Colorado and California throughout my life. Powerhouse Gym is bar none the best gym ever! It doesn't matter what shape, size or fitness level that you come in; Powerhouse is for you! No joke this gym is open 24/7 and have the gym equipment you need. The Powerhouse employees and owners are amazing folks who are very knowledgeable, helpful and passionate in what they do which makes Powerhouse so great. When the staff and owners are not busy helping out their members. They are cleaning up and keeping the gym organized. This place could easily pass a white glove inspection by how well it is maintained. If you are looking for a personal trainer talk to one of the Triple J's (Jeff, Jacqueline & Jessica). They seriously care about their clients achieving their fitness goals and the Triple J's are incredible people to be around. Jeff has been training me for almost three months and I'm loving the results of my body!I feel so healthy and happy! Thank you Jeff! If you follow the rules, pay your dues, be respectful and clean up after yourself; you will have a good time here. You should get a tour of Powerhouse to see what this place is truly about.

Negative experience: Do not sign a contract with these people. They told me there’d be no cancellation fee if I moved & when I did, they refused to even allow me to cancel the contract without coming in. Then when I did, they said I could just email them. You might as well get something better or go to Anytime Fitness.

Fantastic experience: Go here! This place is great for individuals at ALL fitness levels. Jeff the owner greeted me at the door was inviting and kind. He and his wife run this gym and you can tell it's not a corporate conglomerate wanting to force you into a contract you can not get out; Or who are pushy and start to act funny at the sign of customer reluctance EH EHM! L.A. FITNESS) They offer freezing your account because they understand life happens. Jeff took time to show me around and demonstrated top level customer service communicating the aspects of the gym and other perks; such as 24/7 availability to workout. Steve is a friend of the owner and assist in the day to day elements and it shows. Great customer service and you could tell pretty cool to be around. I felt bad I could not sign up today but I WILL BE returning. The gym is exceptionally clean and WELL maintained, not like those days of old were there is chalk all over and individuals yelling because the weight is too heavy. I HIGHLY recommend this gym for vacationers who visit Colorado's gorgeous landscape and I'm sure (don't assume he will I just think he is that type of personal find every way to accommodate costumes) Jeff will comodate you economically and set you up with a pass for the time you're here Supplying your fitness needs. Others, those who "eat the gym" this is your spot.
