Fantastic experience: I’ve gone to a lot of the gyms here in Howell and around Livingston county and can’t find a gym that gives a better all around good vibe and inclusiveness aswell as having an awesome verity of machines, free weights and dumbells, I love the lighting and the poeple at this gym and I suggest it for everybody!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to this gym for about two years, and it’s easily the best one I’ve ever joined. The staff and members are always friendly and knowledgeable, and they’ve got equipment you won’t find anywhere else. Definitely a 10/10 gym!

Negative experience: Well, I tried to become a member of this gym, but nobody was answering their phone. So I said to myself, maybe I should just stop by, since I'm passing by on my way to Meijer, anyway, well, I did stop by. And was welcomed by a ring doorbell that was being answered by Alexa. The door was locked at 12 PM on Thursday. I called again to see if I can get ahold of somebody and again. It went straight to voicemail. An automatic response system left me a text Message. That they'll get back to me as soon as possible. They did get back to me by text. And said that they were with a client. And I said, can't you have a human being answer your Ring doorbell. They didn't respond to that they said most people make an appointment before they come to the door. To check out their gym. And I said, well, I couldn't make an appointment because nobody was answering your phone. The person who was texting me was blaming me for the fact that their door was locked at 12pm and nobody was answering their phone. They treat their gym like a jail. We're not in a city with extremely bad crime. There's no reason for the door to be locked. The person who answered the text said that "it's locked for security reasons." Well, even in the city of Detroit, their doors are wide open and they have several people working there, not just one person who is taking care of one client, every single time that you call. Do yourself a favor don't even bother trying to become a member of this gym.
We never like to hear that anyone feels they had a bad experience with our club. We apologize for missing your call while we were interacting with another client. We did however respond exactly 11 minutes later. Unfortunately It seemed that the damage was already done as your response was, “Not only am I never coming back. I’m gonna leave a nasty review for your gym.” There seemed to be some confusion on why the doors of our club are locked. We did attempt to explain that this is a private club, and members have a key to access the facility 24/7. It is important to us that only members have access, for security purposes. We have an appointment based system used to schedule tours of the club as our staff is heavily involved in the building of our new facility down the road. There are a number of other reasons why over 16 years this type of system is in place but unfortunately you were not interested in hearing those reasons, so with little option left to remedy the situation, I am once again, as I did on the day of our last conversation, forced to wish you the best in finding a club that fits your needs as you pursue your fitness journey.

Fantastic experience: Really cool gym concept, nothing but good things to say about it. Awesome equipment setup, everything you need from a workout perspective. Also a great culture, the owner is always around and super friendly, and it seems like everyone else around is welcoming and supportive. The 24/7 is also super nice, being able to scan in and workout any time of the day.

Negative experience: Advertising new location on their site for years now. Not even close to be completed. Bait and switch. When you try to inquire on current facility, door locked and you have to try and make an appointment. Once you fill out their form, you are blistered with spam. Very unorganized, and new facility is false advertising. Years now since ground broken.
We appreciate the excitement you have for our future home. No one wants the new club to be open as soon as possible more than I do. Google reviews are not the appropriate place to talk about the rough and tumble business of new construction. I will say this, the goal for the new location has always been to provide an extremely high end experience at an affordable price. I have no wish to double the membership rate just to speed up the open date. I want anyone to be able to join, and I don't want money to be a limiting factor, if it takes longer to finish our completely custom one-off building, than so be it. I will not sacrifice quality of our new home.
In the mean time, our current location has been operational for years at a fair price and it's offerings have been well advertised. Only member's have access to the locked club, which is why appointments are made to set up new memberships and club tours. When one fills out a day pass form, of course we are going to send out reminders to book a time to use said pass. This is a fairly standard procedure and easy to opt-out of.
I definitely wish you had a more favorable experience with our club and the new building will open sooner than you might think.

Negative experience: Let me begin this review with a little bit of context. This is in no shape or form biased, simply a honest review for anyone debating whether to buy a membership. A few months ago, I was recently a member of this gym actively using the services I was paying for. They provided a small but adequate space for working out, with a small variety of machines. It was certainly not something to get excited for, but it did the job. It was fine like this for months tell one problem turned to many. Let’s begin with payments. From mutual friends, I have heard similar stories of terrible customer service and billing, but this is my own experience. Switching from a joint account to single accounts, a member is able to have separate accounts. Upon doing this, I had to wait a whole month until I was able to be billed seperately as 2 accounts. A few months later I was triple charged, as my old “joint” member paused his membership. Upon talking to the person who was resolving this issue, it was very difficult to explain anything and barely got it resolved. Keep in mind I was the one who had to reach out, take time out of my day to resolve it. Also, if your card payment fails, they do not text you, email you or tell you. So if your wondering why you cant get into the gym, expect to wait tell the staff can legally yell at you first. Next, hygiene. My first 8 months I was going here, I saw the bathrooms, mirrors and vaccuming done about 5-6 times. I heard from 3 different people that they got ringworm from wearing shorts. Absolutely disgusting. If i’m paying 43$ a month, I would at least hope my gym had some basic health standards. Not once did I see a staff member clean the equipment, or dust around the machines. Finally, let me talk about the staff. As I was coming in on this Saturday morning, I see the owners brother, harassing a 16 year old girl. This same girl who reads a book in between sets, re racks her weights and cleans her equipment after use. I do not care what she did, screaming and cussing out a 16 year old girl tell she bawls her eyes out is not okay. I apologize for making this long review, but this had to be said. If you plan to leave yourself, there is a extra mandatory month you must pay after the cancellation. That is all, and thank you for your time. ⭐️⭐️(P.S. if your going to ask people to make good reviews for your gym, don’t have them done in the same few days. You cant cover up the bad experiences for the good ones)⭐️⭐️
I’ve never had to be so blunt with a review response to date.
Your girlfriend broke into the gym. Snuck non-members into the club and disconnected security cameras. You snuck her in when her access was revoked after 4-months of nonpayment.
I can understand you want to defend your girlfriend after she was asked to leave. The entire interaction with her prying the front door lock open was captured on our front door camera. As was her interaction with staff, (which shows a completely different interaction than what you described.) I’m happy to show you that video as well as the video of her sneaking in unauthorized guests and of her disconnecting cameras inside the gym.
It’s my responsibility to ensure the safety of members inside the club. You and your girlfriend violated those rules even after several warnings. Unfortunately I did expect this kind of deflection but I will gladly endure your false narrative in order to ensure the continued safety and enjoyment of our membership as a whole.
You both are young and learning. I wish you both the best in finding a new fitness program and for a new understanding that actions have consequences.
Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here for 3 years and this is by far one of the best gyms in Howell, great equipment with an even better atmosphere. A little crowded at times but thats to be expected. Matt (the owner) is a really good guy who’s mostly outside working on the new facility, but when he is inside he’s always in a great mood.
Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member at Endeavor for almost two years now and can’t say enough good things. Matt and all of the staff are always great to be around and the equipment in always clean and in good shape. Again, can’t say enough good things about the gym!
Fantastic experience: When I was looking for a new gym, I wanted a local gym with a good variety of equipment and 24 hour services. Endeavor checked all my boxes, it’s a great gym with a good feeling of community. Matt is very friendly and made becoming a member easy and welcoming. I’ve been at this gym for a couple years now and have no complaints.
Fantastic experience: I would like to start off by saying Matt is great person. Super friendly every time you see him. He’s more than happy to have a conversation with you, or assist you. They’re working hard to get the new gym finished with new equipment and activities I didn’t even expect, which does make the wait well worth it. I think people need to understand the obstacles that were in the way during the building process. People also need to understand the gym now is temporary. As for pricing it is fair compared to most gyms, if people want the gym done faster, maybe consider it takes a lot of money for nice things. They’re going beyond expectations and that is awesome. That being said, Matt is a great person, with a great gym.
Fantastic experience: I have nothing but amazing things to say about this gym. To start, Matt the owner is amazing. He is kind and very approachable. He is running a gym while building a huge new one at the same time (by himself). The gym has all of the needed equipment to get a great workout in. There are multiple bathrooms, showers, and nice locker rooms. The cardio room is top tier, expensive and very fancy treadmills. Almost all of the members that I’ve met are very kind and helpful when needed. Matt was very attentive to issues that occurred with irresponsible high schoolers, which was greatly appreciated. I would recommend this to every in Livingston county if I could. I am ecstatic for the day that the new gym opens, but for now the current location is a perfect fit for starters and people that have lifted for their whole lives.

Negative experience: I don’t leave reviews often but this 24-Hour hair-salon-turned gym forced me to do the honors. The owner of this establishment convinces people there’s a new location “opening soon”. When I signed up (April 2023), he said “If you sign up now, your rates won’t go up when the new place opens this summer.” Summer came, and then it went. I saw Matt (the owner) in the gym one day in July and asked how progress was, and he changed his tune to “Yeah all the new equipment we’re ordering is taking time to arrive, and it’s looking like late fall.” Fast forward to January 2024, I see him in the gym again and ask about progress. This time he didn’t have a timetable at all. Just kinda shrugged his shoulders like the ever famous Tom and Jerry meme. The hair-salon-turned gym itself is a crammed space with stuff everywhere. For $43/month you get benches that wobble, cable machines that need repair, and space to use dumbbells is extremely limited. Cardio room was the only decent area, but gets musty and stuffy in there. Floor mats are old and grimy. Bathrooms stink - rarely had toilet paper and never had soap. I decided to cancel in February of this year, but to my surprise, I kept seeing Endeavor charges on my CC statement until May. FYI, you will agree to pay for the month after you cancel when you sign up (March), but the charges for April and May I disputed and had removed. Thankfully, that was the end of it. If money is tight for you, it’s quite okay Matt. I think we can all understand things are tough. But when you string people along about a new place “Coming Soon” and keep trying to siphon from their accounts after they’ve quit, the gloves (*wristbands*) come off.

I understand that you’re excited and perhaps even a bit frustrated that the building isn’t done yet. It is 100% a custom building. No kits, no off the shelf pieces, we want the best most comfortable and durable space for everyone to enjoy and that takes some time. But rest assured it will open.
I agree with you. I did say that prices would be locked in for members in the new club. That is still true. I did not however say the club would be opening that summer. The spring of 2023, when we had this “conversation” the upper level walls weren’t constructed yet, nor was there a roof on the building. There is zero chance that mere months later the building would have been finished. I most certainly wouldn’t have blamed it on a fitness equipment delivery since the building progress is so publicly visible and there still wasn’t a roof on the building. This entire situation seems much more likely to be a case of misunderstanding.
While the project has taken longer than anyone would like, it will open. This project has made excellent progress and it’s been done in a manner so that membership prices will be extremely affordable and close to current rates. That has been an important tenet while planning, that anyone should be able to enjoy its amenities for a reasonable price.

Negative experience: Very small gym so already the individual is limited. Very awkward atmosphere with more people focusing on you than the actual workout themselves. Owner is unresponsive when trying to facilitate access to gym. as the individual I would really consider what I’m trying to do with my overall health when considering this atmosphere.
Fantastic experience: Best gym in the area. Great equipment, great staff. Perfect if you’re in town for a visit, or if you travel in and out of town frequently.

Positive experience: I really wanted to like this gym. But the two months I've been going here has been a bit of a disappointment. It feels way too crammed. It's a small space with a lot of equipment. A lot of equipment is outdated as well. Bathrooms/locker rooms can be better maintained. I just don't feel like I get the best bang for my buck. I hope they open their new location soon which is supposed to be a lot bigger. I should mention that the staff is very nice and welcoming though.

Really like having wipes to clean stuff instead of spraying things down. Lots of good people come there and one pretty good guy owns the gym too. Hello Paige I'm sorry you feel this way about a note we spent a lot of time deciding to place in the club. If you take a moment to imagine our position, you might feel differently. Imagine you own a gym and have spent a considerable amount of money so your members can have a great time in your club. Accidents happen, that's understandable so when the first mirror was broken it's upsetting but things happen right? Then a 2nd is smashed and you start to look at why it's happening. Is it just another accident or maybe something else? When the third mirror is smashed you start to look at member's decisions and while bar storage has been provided, there's been a disturbing trend amongst members not using bar holders but instead placing heavy Olympic bars set against the glass. It doesn't stop there, you've witnessed members performing handstand push-ups against the glass and ball-squats against the glass as well. Now this becomes a safety issue. If we say nothing and these bad habits are allowed to continue, a severe injury could occur. Now that liability is on you...Can you imagine yourself in this position? Maybe you can, and maybe you can't? Now imagine I came into your place of business and broke something essential to your business, you'd be pretty upset, especially because you'll have pay for it yourself. You say a note acting as a reminder that mirrors are glass and can be damaged thus causing injury is unprofessional, fine, I'll take on your opinion and bad review to prevent serious injury to a member in my club. Speaking of members, we didn't have a "Paige" in the gym today. If you have a real issue with my club, please call me directly as there are much more effective means for resolving problems than a google review. - Matt (517) 258-3010.

Fantastic experience: Walked in today while checking out a few gyms in the Livingston county area. I was thoroughly Impressed with the cleanliness of all areas of the gym and how well maintained the equipment appeared to be. The owner himself was at the front desk, he was more than welcoming and informative about his gym. He explained that he plans on expanding to a new location and was also informative on the new things to come with it. If you’re tired of gyms that are over priced, dirty, or don’t allow you to get your swole on unlike “planet fitness” I would recommend giving it a look. I’ll definitely be in this Friday as I told him I would to sign myself and girlfriend up. I have to say kudos to the owner for having pride in his business.

Fantastic experience: This fitness club is the real deal. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. The gym is never crowded, nor are there overburdening rules that limit you. The owner is extremely pleasant and helpful. I recommend.
Fantastic experience: This gym is one of the best I've been in. The people are great. The equipment is well maintained and the locker rooms are clean and functional.
Negative experience: Be careful this place charges hidden fees. I went to cancel and Matt talk me into Suspending the account in case I wanted to come back when I decided not to return he charged me for a whole extra month even though I havent even live in that city for 3 months. There are other places to go that do not charge hidden fees
Hello Tristan, I'm sorry you feel upset with the ending of your membership freeze. Earlier this summer you came in to freeze your account (due to work) and you did sign our freeze form. That form states that cancelling during the freeze incurs one final monthly payment. This a standard operating procedure well documented on the simple forms we provide to avoid issues such as this.
