It's no secret that weight training is tough work. It can be easy to get motivated at the beginning, but staying motivated is a different story. After all, spending hours at the gym and sticking to a mostly protein diet isn't exactly fun. However, you need to stay motivated if you want to reach your goals. It Starts With Commitment First of all, you need to make a commitment to the hard road you are embarking on. This means setting realistic goals and sticking to them. It also means being willing to put in the work, even when you don't feel like it. If you can commit to these things, you'll be well on your way to reaching your goals.

Bodybuilding can be difficult, so it is important to stay motivated by monitoring your progress. It is also necessary to track your progress to determine if you need to make any changes to your weight training program or diet. You can track your progress in several ways. 1) Look in the Mirror Looking in the mirror is the most basic way to track your progress - but keep in mind, changes might not always be immediately noticeable. Get a full-length view of yourself to really see any changes in your physique. 2) Take Progress Photos Progress photos are a great way to document your journey. Take photos at regular intervals (e.g. once a month) to see the changes over time. 3) Measurements Keep track of your measurements (e.g. chest, waist, hips, arms, legs) to see how your body is changing. 4) Weight Monitoring your weight is another way to track your progress. Keep in mind, however, that weight can fluctuate for a variety of reasons (e.g. water retention, menstrual cycle) so it is not the most accurate measure.

No matter what your reason is for wanting to start strength training, there are some basic things you need to do to prepare yourself and avoid injury. Getting a checkup from your doctor is a good place to start so you know what your current fitness level is and if there are any limitations you need to be aware of. You should also create a workout plan and warm up before each session. And finally, be sure to listen to your body and rest when you need to.

Fantastic experience: I've been at Ozone for over two years now and don't plan on leaving anytime soon. Once upon a time I was told by my first orthopedic doctor I would never be able to do parallel body squats again. I was later told by a neck specialist I should stop working out if I no longer wanted to have chronic shoulder issues. This was not acceptable to me. I bounced between three licensed, reputable physical therapists in the area for knee, shoulder and back problems. After going back to my doctor with little results to show for all of my sessions he asked how I would feel about seeing a personal trainer. At that point I was desperate, he sent me to Bill at Ozone. Within four months I was doing parallel body squats. My shoulder issues were now manageable on top of being able to work out. After a year they had largely disappeared. I was referred to Ozone because no one else could figure out what was going on. Not only did they get at the root cause, they taught me techniques so I could get manage them on my own and ensure they did not return. These guys teach you how to work out with impeccable technique and are always looking to learn and improve just as much as their clients are. Not only that, they work with you on nutrition. Half of any lifestyle change is made in the kitchen my friends. They know their stuff, but more importantly are humble and open enough to feedback or be proved wrong to hone their craft. Olympic athlete? They cover that. Broken ex-high school athlete? I'm living proof they cover that too. They train the right way. Sustainable regimens to prevent injury and foster consistent gains over long periods of time depending on your goals. There's a reason why they're thriving with big box gyms sprouting up like weeds all over Fairfield with $2 per month memberships. You want to actually hit your goals with longevity and not get hurt? Ozone should be your next call.

Fantastic experience: My son has been going to Fairfield Strength And Movement Center since November 2017 to help with his movement, balance, coordination and overall fitness. The improvement in all areas has been remarkable. Improved posture, running and strength. This facility has a very warm, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend this center for adults as well as children.

Fantastic experience: My 14 year old son works with Jesus. He has done a great job improving his over all strength as well as areas specific to his sport. Jesus uses a combination of body weight movements and age appropriate free weight exercises to develop strength in his legs, chest and core. The atmosphere in the gym is individualized and client focused.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend! Ken, Bryan and Bill have created a space and a system for strength & movement that is built on a foundation of incredible knowledge and experience. This is not your average gym and these are not your average trainers. You can go anywhere and run on a treadmill or lift weights. These guys custom tailor a program for the client based on individual needs. I feel stronger and more fit than with any other trainer I've ever worked with.
