Fuel Fitness and Nutrition: Opinions

Fantastic experience: Dave is awesome! I've know him since I became a member of Fuel Fitness in November 2013. He's one of the most honest people I've ever met. I'm so glad that he still works at there after 6 years. Justin
Fantastic experience: Great place to workout. It being open 24/7 is definitely a plus.
Negative experience: Could've sworn that I left a review already, but I guess not. I really didn't like this gym - staff was extremely unhelpful (half of the time there was no one to be found) and the vibes were just competitive and unfriendly. Gyms are all about atmosphere, and this place just wasn't it. Equipment was alright, but you can find a gym with the same quality of equipment and space for better vibes. Price was also pretty expensive.
Fantastic experience: Great gym and a large selection of equipment.
Fantastic experience: Great gym during the hours of 8pm - 4pm, all-hours access is included for members. Horrible experience if you go during "rush hour". There are ARMIES of trendies marching back n forth, without a care in the world (or deodorant), God Bless Them. Fuel has excellent equipment, if you can go before 4pm to utilize it...after that? Good luck using any powerlifting equipment not named "DECLINE PRESS". The Trendies tend to take off the weekends, or they focus on Cardio. During that time, Fuel is a PRISTINE experience
Fantastic experience: I really love this gym. It is always clean, they have nice equipment, the staff is friendly and it is affordable! I had to cancel my membership, and it was very easy to do so. Hoping to return again soon.
Negative experience: Too many members for the size, need to open a second location or stop accepting new members
Fantastic experience: My favorite gym in Bozeman. Employees are always nice, and the place is very clean, with just about everything you need. Highly recommend checking this gym out. Moving from Bozeman and having to cancel my membership, it was a quick 30 second phone call and very easy to do.
Fantastic experience: Management is amazing. Gym is wonderful.
Fantastic experience: This gym is so friendly and nice!!! It is clean and the staff is so welcoming!! I’ve always been taken care of and they will go out of their way to help accommodate your needs!! And the price is great! Highly recommend!
Fantastic experience: Excellent equipment, clean and friendly environment. Reasonable day pass pricing too
Negative experience: This gym try to used you and send you to collections. Two months ago I went to the gym in person and I canceled my membership and I asked her if do you need anything she said no you are good right now I received a call form collection they said you have 200 dollars bills be away from them this what I can say
Fantastic experience: Very good gym with updated equipment fitting majority of workout styles.
Fantastic experience: Clean, all the equipment you could ask for, and there's a mobile app for accessing the gym, checking in, and purchasing protein shakes or other drinks and snacks!
Positive experience: They are overpriced for what you get and they have a lot of fees for becoming a new member. If you aren't super serious about the gym, I wouldn't recommend joining this gym.
Fantastic experience: Best gym in town lol. Great vibes and nice people l!! It's actually a therapy place for me personally more than anything.
Fantastic experience: Edit: I moved and had to close my account, but Fuel was professional and excellent the whole way. After testing several local gyms, I’m joining Fuel. My #1 favorite is actually the Hot Springs, because, well, duh - it’s epic. BUT the Hot Springs costs twice as much, it’s open half as much, and it’s out of town. Fuel has everything I need for a solid workout and a shower at a fair price. I do wish they had a bit more space for stretching (…and, like, a hot spring…) but we can’t have everything in this life. Fuel is very clean, a pleasant atmosphere, free towel service, friendly staff, great equipment, plenty of parking. They offer a 5 day free trial. Check it out!
Positive experience: Great gym and nice equipment. Worked out and no one bothered me at all.
Fantastic experience: Was traveling through Bozeman for the weekend and stopped by. Super clean, machines moved well, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend!
Fantastic experience: Great gym for beginners and serious fitness enthusiasts alike. Friendly staff, clean facilities and excellent equipment!
Fantastic experience: good spot to lift with the cheapest out of town day pass in the city
Negative experience: gym space kinda sucks, its always crowded and the people that work there aren't very helpful. tried to cancel my membership but ended up having to pay an extra month for god knows what reason. I don't understand why this was so difficult to do
Fantastic experience: Awesome Gym!!
Fantastic experience: This has been my go-to gym for the past year and I have nothing but great things to say about it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The equipment is new and the gym is kept very clean. The locker rooms are also very tidy and overall it is a great experience. The atmosphere is amazing and I love working out there. Also they are open 24 hour again. I recommend this gym to anyone looking for a gym in Bozeman.
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff. Great accommodations
Negative experience: Not impressed with this place .. constantly packed during the day . I made sure to ask if they were a 24hour access gym since I was switching to nights and what a surprise 4 AM my scan card doesn't work.
Hey Shelby,
I am so sorry that you are having issues scanning in during non-staffed hours. Can you please email me directly so that I can make any adjustments to your account to ensure that you don't run into this issue again? ([email protected])
Thank you!
Fantastic experience: a great place to work out there I'm disabled and the gym makes me Feel at home
Fantastic experience: Awesome gym, has everything you need to loose weight or get that juicy body ready for summer. Staff is friendly and also the members who go there.
Negative experience: I have a membership and the gym itself isn’t bad but I wanted to add tanning to my membership and when I tried to call one day nobody answered me the entire day and I tried calling a dozen times in a span of an entire day. I then went up to the counter this morning to ask the red headed guy at the front desk and he was so rude. I told him I tried calling multiple times in the past about it and he didn’t even bother to respond to it and it was extremely rude. I work in customer service and that was by far the worst customer service I have ever received.
Fantastic experience: Very clean. Plenty of space to not interfere with other people. I picked up a one day pass. I will be back.
Negative experience: This gym needs more equipment. I waited over 30 minutes for the smith machine at the gym one day this week. Talk about inconsiderate and stuck in your own world, other people would like a turn on equipment. This place NEEDS another smith machine.
Fantastic experience: First time at fuel in Bozeman, I had a membership at Kalispell and loved it and wanted to try the one in Bozeman. I talked to a shorter guy with glasses at the desk and he was super chill, nice, and got us set up. The actual gym had a really cool atmosphere and looked great. I went on a Monday and compared to other gyms it was not to busy and didn't really have to wait for anyone. Overall a soild gym and got a great lift in.
Negative experience: Poor customer service.
Negative experience: My experience. I’m growing increasingly disappointed with the gym. The recent update didn’t solve many problems. Yes there is more space, but I still find myself often waiting for 1 or 2 pieces of my equipment during my workout. 1 weighted leg extension, 1 smith machine, 1 weighted upper chest machine, 1 less abdominal machine, etc. I’m okay if I have to wait every once in awhile or change my workout every once in awhile but having to wait for machines on a weekly basis or change my workout every week because there’s a line to get on a machine isn’t something I should have to do. As a serious and experienced lifter of 10+ years, I like a variety of equipment and not waiting or changing my routine every week. It’s frustrating enough to make me think about leaving fuel. I usually workout before work and many people like myself don’t have the time to wait around for machines. My friend and I were both disappointed to see what “little” had been done in our eyes for the renovation as far as what had been done to fix previous issues. Some of my past injuries prevent me from using things like free bench or squatting but for the amount of people that go here at 1 time, there should be more equipment/variety anyhow. I have also heard rumors of raised prices. I picked the cheaper gym for $30 a months instead of ~55 ( The Ridge with a discount) also because I don’t use sauna, pool, etc. That being said, my last straw in leaving this gym will be if price increase much given it would be close to The Ridge without all the equipment, amenities, and etc. Lastly, I’ve tried voicing to the manager but I’ve got the feeling he doesn’t care.
Positive experience: By the time I go to its not as packed as other gyms. It has a lot of everything to work out at your pace, without having to wait for others to finish their workout
Negative experience: Since the remodel there is less equipment. Most of the equipment that was being used got taken out. Took out the cardio room to add more room but then replaced that space with a large turf mat that is taking up more room.
Positive experience: Ehh it works. Used to be a 24 hour gym. Also evenings suck do to lack of cleaning the bathroom. Hope they get a bigger building soon gets crowded fast. All in all good Atmosphere and good equipment.
Negative experience: Pains me to see how far downhill this place has gone. I understand it’s challenging to get parts to fix broken gym equipment. But, having all of the TVs on the treadmills not work, the rest of the stand-alone wall mounted TVs busted for months on end, showers not being repaired for over half a year, equipment being push way too close to each other, and the disgusting state of the locker rooms is not acceptable and a clear sign the owner has long lost interest running a respectable gym.
Fantastic experience: Amazing love this gym.
Positive experience: Child care not available as stated on their website.
Fantastic experience: 10 star gym . I travel all across U.S on large music tours and hit many gyms . This gym is really clean , nice , all the equipment for CrossFit , bodybuilding , strength training , tons of cardio options , place for the kids . Why this spot doesn’t have 5 stars is wild . Noah at front desk is great , friendly , took care of us on a guest pass . The gyms goers are very friendly . A good gym , way better vibe than any other planet fitness . The hours on website was accurate . Very impressed , my new spot to hit . Looking forward to next time In this area .
Thanks Mr. Greenwell...I passed this on to Noah. Glad to hear I am working with good people.....Looking forward to your next trip here.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, clean facility.
Fantastic experience: It's a great little gym. All the necessary machines and equipment are present. Tons of cardio equipment considering the size of the place. It can get busy at certain times naturally.
Fantastic experience: Mad gains did happen at this location
Positive experience: A really solid gym, solid variety of quality equipment. Even though space is quite limited, they find a way to pack in the essentials plus a bunch of ‘nice to have’ equipment. I really didn’t find anything lacking in terms of equipment. The staff was also very kind and each time I visited (3x during my 3 day stay in Montana) was pleasurable in terms of the staff interaction. The reason for 3 stars is simply that the place needs some TLC. The restrooms were pretty nasty (especially the toilets, all 3 days) and the gym overall could use a nice deep cleaning. It just wasn’t clean. At all. I’d absolutely train there again during another visit to Bozeman but I’d be hesitant to make it my home gym if I lived in the area.
Positive experience: Usually a little crowded
Negative experience: Dirty. Like gross dirty. If it wasn’t so cheap
Negative experience: Cancelled my membership only a week in because I found a better gym. Went in person to get it cancelled and was told I would receive an email regarding the cancellation and they would talk to the owner about giving me a partial refund because I only worked out for a couple of days. Fast forward to today and I got charged again and never received an email regarding the cancellation. It's ironic that they charged me again because I turned in my keycard the day I went to cancel my membership in person, how am I supposed to workout even if I "didn't cancel my membership"? I almost considered putting the billing on my credit card so I could claim fraud because I hear stories all the time about this type of shady behavior from Fuel Fitness.
Negative experience: This specific place is horribly manage. I originally went to the gym in kalispell were they actually know what they’re doing. This place is horribly ran. Manager or whoever is in charge doesn’t do their job. Multiple time we have tried to get a account set up for my girlfriend. They keep saying the manager needs to set up the account or something. But everytime they don’t do it. Idk what whoever in charge is doing but definitely not their job. They made my girlfriend cry cause they don’t know what they are doing. Long story short this specific location is a joke. If you live in Bozeman go somewhere else.
Positive experience: Great machines, good layout, just to darn Busy all the time!
Fantastic experience: Beautiful and clean gym
Fantastic experience: This is a good basic, but fully stocked gym. The members are what you'd expect: real people and a mix of really strong athletes, and people just looking to maintain their fitness. The membership flexibility is nice, and they were easy to work with to put my membership on hold for a short period of time. The only thing I wish they had is a sauna. Otherwise it meets all of my needs.
Positive experience: Overall I really like this gym because it is clean and people are friendly. Recently the hours changed from being open 24hrs to 5a-11p which conflicts with my work schedule and results in the gym being full right at 5am. It would nice if the hours were extended a bit more or if customers could get scan card access after hours to accommodate alternative schedules and thin out the crowd.
Negative experience: Too keep this short. I wouldn’t go to this gym. I called to cancel my membership and was given the wrong email address which I didn’t know about until a few days ago. I called back to find out why I was still being charged when I canceled my membership and they finally gave me the correct email address I needed to cancel. I forwarded my first membership cancelation attempt to the correct email and explained my situation. That I was given that email address and attempted to cancel on November 10th and had assumed it was canceled. The owner proceeded to tell me the email stated I had sent it on December 10th not November and I told her she was wrong and the email clearly states it was sent in November 10th to the wrong email her employee gave me. She proceeded to call me a liar and told me she would be charging me for December anyways and if I didn’t pay she would keep charging me and have it go to collections. I understand the first cancelation attempt didn’t go through but I gave her evidence I had attempted a cancelation with the email address her employee had given me. And all she did was call me a liar and threaten me with going to collections. I didn’t realize her employees screw up was my fault and that I’m going to be charged again for it. Edit: I was charged again and was blocked by the owner after I emailed her why.
Fantastic experience: Has all basic equipment you need. Locker room & showers are modern & clean.
Negative experience: Other than too busy for its size it has a great environment, variety of equipment, and good price for Bozeman. It has been pointless to get a membership here if I want to workout between 6am-8am or 4pm-8pm on Monday-Fridays. Way too busy and full. Trying to go through a workout routine that takes 45minutes will take 90 minutes here.
Fantastic experience: Great selection of equipment. They do week long passes, day passes and then full on year/month passes. Friendly staff and clean machines.
Positive experience: A decent place to train. Machines are a bit close together in some areas so it can feel a bit cramped, but you can still get a good workout in.
Fantastic experience: This place is awesome they have the best prices and the nicest equipment in Bozeman. It is very well laid out inside. Ill definitely go back for more gains.
Fantastic experience: Great equipment. Nice staff. Good sense of community
Fantastic experience: Great equipment and atmosphere.
Fantastic experience: Great gym even greater staff
Positive experience: Love the place and employees are always very helpful, but when a piece of equipment becomes out of order it can take over a month before it is back in use. These are things that I could fix myself in a couple hours sometimes. Other than that great place for a good workout.
Positive experience: It’s okay. Clean, things are generally in working order, the staff are nice. The issue is- THERE ARE WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE!! I hope they stop accepting new people because a good amount of the time there’s a very limited amount of space to workout. That means being uncomfortably close to your neighbor which is especially worse because there’s also a weird amount of creeps there. Ladies, if you’re afraid of that, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Fellas, if you join, don’t be creepy. It would be lots better if there were a limited amount of members because wow, I was just there and it was damn near impossible to find equipment or a place to work out.
Fantastic experience: Best gym out there
Positive experience: I travel for work and while on the road I’ll stop in for a shower. It’s a decent place to go for a shower. You have to get a day pass or have a membership. As for the gym side. I don’t know how good the equipment is. The staff was friendly on the phone and in person.
Fantastic experience: Excellent gym for a good workout. Plenty of equipment and not packed. Great $20 rate for a week to workout while traveling.
Fantastic experience: Super
Fantastic experience: Great place to work out and very reasonable for a day pass
Fantastic experience: Beautiful gym
Negative experience: Extremely dirty machines and way to many of them in the building. They get jammed up on one another in the Billings Fuel. Bozeman Fuel is a little better
Fantastic experience: Fuel you have a hack squat machine. ‘Nuff said.
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, loads of equipment, highly recommended!
Fantastic experience: Good equipment, staffed almost 24/7. Best deal for vets in town!
Fantastic experience: Fuel has everything i was looking for in a gym
Fantastic experience: Nice gym
Negative experience: Maybe it is different during non peak hours, but it was nearly impossible to actually work out at 5 pm...it was so busy!
Fantastic experience: Very clean gym and locker room. Lots of state of the art equipment and a free 3 day trial. Definitely try it out!
Negative experience: After canceling my membership they continue to charge my account. I have been charged the last 4 months and every time I call about the charge they tell me that the membership is canceled and wont be charged again. I have asked to speak with a manager and have been told they will call me back but has never happened.
Fantastic experience: We are in town on a contract for work. Our final two weeks we found this gym. It is exceptionally clean and affordable. The staff has been very helpful and friendly. There is a wide variety of equipment ranging from free weights to machines. It's a gym that would meet most people's needs.
Negative experience: Staff was very un friendly and not helpful at all. Time to find another gym
Fantastic experience: Great place to work out at.
Fantastic experience: After the way I was treated art butte fuel, I was hesitant to come here..:: Well, I’ve met and mad some of the best people I’ve ever met here, my trainer, is great! But I’ve made some good friends and an awesome family here. Love this place and the people in it!❤️
Fantastic experience: Good monthly price, and they have all the equipment.
Fantastic experience: Huge range of equipment, very clean, friendly staff.
Fantastic experience: The best gym in Bozeman! The staff is so friendly.
Negative experience: Canceled today and started a membership elsewhere. I have slowly watched the Bozeman Fuel atmosphere degrade. They have packed in so much gear there is no longer space to move during workouts (especially in the mornings). Most of the staff has become increasingly less helpful even to the point of rudeness at times. Depending on the time you go, you might find yourself waiting on space or weights due to entire areas being marked off for various classes. It’s a real bummer when there are multiple groups going throughout the gym because of the limited space. Started out loving Fuel, but it’s lost it’s luster to point that I began to dread having to go through the doors.
Fantastic experience: Not for me! I prefer Orange theory
Positive experience: Plenty of equipment.
Fantastic experience: Good gym. Great selection of equipment and the staff were very nice. I only got a 2 week pass and it was $30, which wasn’t terrible. Also, no equipment was out of order and it all seemed to be in good order. The only thing I’d recommend is to have a towel service.
Fantastic experience: Excellent gym, no pressure to sign up for training and clean facilities.
Fantastic experience: I love this place. The equipment is top of the line. The staff is super friendly and helpful and their open 24 hours what more can you ask for.
Fantastic experience: Love that I can workout any day, at any time. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. The machines are good quality and there's such a selection, I very rarely have to wait to use them. The protein shakes made here are delicious as well. Overall best value for a gym in Bozeman!
Fantastic experience: Excellent gym. The customer service has been great. All equipment is in good shape and well maintained. The gym does get busy but just about any gym in Bozeman will be busy at times!
Positive experience: Fantastic gym, open 24 hours. Not usually too crowded
Fantastic experience: Amazing gym
Fantastic experience: I go to this club multiple times when I'm in Bozeman visiting my daughter at Montana State. Great equipment, great atmosphere, and they have Myzone!
Fantastic experience: Clean facility, nice equipment and locker rooms. Staff are friendly and the price is fair. This location is way busier than the Billings one from my experience. They offer a selection of classes and childcare if you need it.
Fantastic experience: Live the 24/7. Not open on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Fantastic experience: Great equipment, facilities, and free weights. Great gym.
