Negative experience: Very unprofessional; the receptionist made fun of my surgery in front of the front desk at the clinic. It was very rude, embarrassing, and unprofessional. I came here for help, not to be laughed at. I will be seeking physical therapy treatment elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Always a wonderful experience, wonderful staff members as well!

Negative experience: Was walking into the place to get a lift in and noticed a sign on the front door stating. “We will be closing today at 5pm due to the weather”. Good equipment and clean but really a bummer when the place closes early at the sight of a snowflake.

Fantastic experience: Megan is a great trainer and Matt is a great dietician. Together they are helping me get in shape and lose weight!

Fantastic experience: I go here 3x a week to get my exercise plus the massage ‍♀️ is great! The staff are very friendly and accomodating. All the equipments are pretty much up to date as well.

Positive experience: Only dealt with front desk. Very friendly and helpful. I'm interested in a pool. Their lap pool is going away in the Fall. I know very little else about the facility.

Fantastic experience: Offers more than a gym.

Positive experience: This place helps a lot of people all the time. My only issue is: since Boone NC is a college town, we get a lot of greenhorn graduates that don't really know what they're doing because they don't have the exp they need yet. And they SHOULD NOT be given the responsibility of people that are in real need of therapy. They should be giving guidance to people that are not in dire need of therapy. It's not fair to the patient/client.

Fantastic experience: I really enjoy attending Gwen Dhing's Dance and Zumba classes at The Wellness Center! She is always organized and well-prepared for each class. In fact, she brings a great sense of creative energy and dynamic enthusiasm that makes her students feel good about themselves in the best ways possible. Her love for dance fitness and her generous nature to help her students is evident every time she teaches. Taking her classes is truly an honor I value, and I appreciate how she makes a positive difference for all of us who have been blessed to be students in her classes all these years. I encourage anyone to take her classes as you will feel strongly energized and truly happy with every dance and zumba workout!

Fantastic experience: I recently had a hip replacement. The doctor prescribed physical therapy for me. The physical therapist at the wellness center have been very helpful. but the one who really stands out is the one who I've been working with Erin Wonder. She is very knowledgeable and very helpful in my recovery. She does work me but that is very helpful for my endurance I appreciate physical therapist and especially her.

Fantastic experience: It's clean!

Positive experience: This is the best all inclusive gym in Boone unless you’re associated with the college. The prices can be pretty expensive but you get access to cardio equipment and weights and classes and the pool. Lots of older folks use this gym, which means not many egotistical folks taking selfies in the mirrors. It can get crowded mid morning and later evening after work. If you avoid these times it’s really easy to get in and out. There are lots of things included with the membership. Great hours. Friendly staff. Good amount of workout equipment and space for working out.

Negative experience: This wellness center plays Fox News on every channel all day long!!! They pick Fox FakeNews and then take the batteries out of the remotes.

I paid $165.45 for a statement NOT YET DUE---(Due Date 2-1-20)--(Todays date 1-28-20)---They charged $165.45 to cancel my account at my request!---Like I said--"Poor management and steals from customers"-----How many thousands how they stolen from others?----(Deadbeat bunch of thieves !)

Negative experience: I feel like i'm being very generous with this review. I'm giving 2 stars because of past positive experiences. I have been attending this gym with my family every year for 4 years — one month each year when I visit the area. My overall experience was positive until last week. Someone took my $180 shoes from the men's locker room, and there was the distinct possibility that whoever took the shoes thought they were being given away for free. (Unbeknownst to me, the box I put them next to is a giveaway box) I returned with a small, printed flyer, and I asked the manager on duty if we could put the flyer near the box in the men's locker room. I may have just gotten the one surly manager in the entire gym, but he said they wouldn't even consider putting the flyer on the box. The flyer simply asked for the return of my shoes and a phone number. The manager went on to ask if I had considered using a lock. The attitude was needlessly patronizing, so I decided to cancel my membership. They said, "okay", and handed me a piece of paper to sign. I signed it, and they said, "Okay, you're done." I asked if I would be refunded my money, (I attended one day) and they said this is a question for the management. I asked to be called by management in regards to this situation, and they said they would call. I also sent an email to them outlining my issue. To this date, no call, no email, no refund. Zero concern for a long-standing customer. Goodbye wellness center. I won't be recommending your services to family or friends. We expect better.

Negative experience: Good luck getting anyone to respond to a simple request that goes beyond the front desk. For two months, I've reached out a half dozen times to the pool manager, supervisor and facility manager to get on a waiting list for an aquatics class my doctor has urged me to take, to help with rehabilitation. No response. Much more, but suffice to say nobody there cares if they don't know you from church, school or relatives.

Negative experience: Not a fan. Facility is okay if you can work around their times for things. Scheduling child care is tough, they usually don’t have the times available that’s needed. Scheduling swim lessons were also troublesome. The schedule always flip flopped and I was charged double for some classes and the time changed over and over. And when I cancelled membership they still charged. I spent more time scheduling and correcting payments. Not worth the hassle.

Fantastic experience: I love the Wellness Center! My family and I have been members for over 15 years and we feel like family whenever we workout there. We've actually built life long friendships with many of the members. I love that the facilities are ever changing; they change with the times and the needs of the members. It is definitely a full service center that provides something for everyone, regardless of ability. I truly believe it's the #1 facility in Boone.

Fantastic experience: I don't normally grade health care professionals but these guys deserve a 5 star for sure! First of all, they CARE! Second, they are extremely professional and knowledgeable. Third, they are just very nice and friendly people that you want to come back and see again :) I came in with several issues. I had some pain in my right hand that was bothering me for several years and a few areas in my back and neck that needed some treatment. Dr Chow addressed all problems in one visit! Moreover, he guided my through every step of the treatment, so I had a clear understanding of why and how this is going to help me. I was so surprised and happy next morning when I realized that my pain went away. I didn't expect it to get better that quickly to be honest. I am very thankful for all they have done and highly recommend this practice to anyone who's looking for a chiropractor in the area!
