Fantastic experience: A wonderful place to get healthy and meet new people. And now open on Sundays! Yayyy! This Y is just the right size for me, with a good mix of older folks like me and younger ones from the nearby schools/colleges, and then those in between. And they keep it clean too and are always ready to help out with any questions I might have.

Fantastic experience: This was a great gym, a little smaller than my home gym in Atlanta (which is super large), but it had everything I needed while visiting & hosting a retreat 3 minutes up the road. Perfect!

Fantastic experience: i’ve been a member here for several years now and this is by FAR the best ymca facility in the wnc system. they keep the place spotless in the classrooms, weight room, and even the locker room and pool. i’m always greeted at the door with a smile on my way in and way out. only thing this facility doesn’t have that the others do is vending machines so know to bring a water bottle or sports drink with you! 10/10!!!

Fantastic experience: I love the staff. Water Zumba is fun but not as good for resistance and for those who struggle with bouncing up and down for long periods, probably not a match.

Fantastic experience: overall rating is misleading,as many/most reviews reflect previous owners,employees of Cheshire Fitness.The Y purchased only 4 months ago,so properly only reviews posted during that time honestly reflect feedback on Y,current owners. I am posting this to reflect improvements in the operation as to management and employees,especially the helpfulness with both new equipment and new members.My current opinion merits five stars rather than three.

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Smaller size, which I prefer. Tucked away in a private, beautiful area right off route nine. The classes are great! They have a great selection of machines, and a pool! Also they have daycare while you work out, I highly suggest giving this place a try if you live in the black mountain area!

Fantastic experience: I love the pool and try to be there 5 mornings a week. It’s never really crowded but wish it were bigger. The staff is always friendly and locker room is clean.

Fantastic experience: Five star location. Friendly staff, clean facilities, and zero intimidation whether it be on the cardio equipment or in the weight portion. Very impressed with their array of equipment- TRX, kettlebells, slam balls, battle rope, bands and more. A lovely YMCA with a clear sense of an inclusive community.

Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic local health club. The staff are friendly and always willing to help. The club is very clean. The ,members are diverse in age and ability and the range of classes meet those needs. I love swimming here and taking yoga classes. So appreciative to have Cheshire Fitness Club in my home town.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member for seven years, and cannot say enough positive about the club. Great people, good equipment, very responsive owners, nice staff. My only suggested change would be to open earlier on weekends, especially having morning hours on Sunday.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful fitness center at a great price. Near Olympic sized pool, dry sauna, hot tub, fitness equipment, yoga, massage and much more. Family friendly with a juice bar and child care area. Fits every lifestyle and the staff are very friendly. Plus, it's in Black Mtn. :D

Fantastic experience: Excellent program for water aerobics on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Wonderful workout, good instructor, and a hot tub waiting for us when the hour is over!
