Powerhouse Gym West Bloomfield, MI

Fantastic experience: Powerhouse West Bloomfield is a great place to workout and/or train. It has a huge assortment of weight and cardio equipment that is well maintained. Plus the facility is clean and bright even during the dark days of winter! To top it off, the staff is always warm and accommodating.

Positive experience: Love this gym and the classes they offer. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I pay an additional $30 a month to have bonus classes but the functional strength I take with Jenna is only offered twice a week. Would absolutely love it if they could incorporate at least another day with her, she’s phenomenal!

Fantastic experience: I really love Powerhouse Gym West Bloomfield—great energy, great people, and a motivating environment. One standout for me has been the functional strength/strictly strength class with Jenna. Her programming is smart, challenging, and I’ve seen real results since joining regularly. It’s hands-down one of the best classes I’ve taken, and I’d love to see more class options like it offered at the same time throughout the week. I know it would draw a great turnout!

Positive experience: I wish there was more FX classes available with JENNA please , I don’t come here on Tuesdays and Thursdays ! I would love to have that on those days ! That would be awesome please , thanks

Ashley, your representative, took my on a guided tour, answered my questions about service, cost, amenities, etc...She did an excellent job on all of the above, also, the price was right in joining. Looking forward to my first workout session(s).

Fantastic experience: Clean, not crowded, but the pool heater has not worked in almost a month now...and they say it'll be another two weeks before they get a new heater...very inconvenient as it is an integral part of my workout, and why I joined Powerhouse West Bloomfield!!

Fantastic experience: Huge well run, well-staffed clean gym. Happy member for over 12 months. They have a pool, modern bathrooms and showers, basketball court and tons of equipment of all different makes and styles. Trainers and counter staff are eager to please. They pay a great deal of attention to sanitizing equipment, glass and shower rooms. They are open almost all the time so it's easy to get in on your schedule.

Positive experience: Edit: after the response from the gym I realize it is not their fault and have adjusted my review to compensate for that. I hope the owner of the building cares about the building and the safety of the people who use it just like I’m sure they would care if tenants stopped paying rent. When it rains it drips everywhere and is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Have had to skip leg days because I can’t dry my shoes enough to not feel like I’m gonna slip and blow out a knee on a leg press machine because it’s so dangerous.

I've owned and operated over 15 clubs over my career and have never seen a club so well equipped with the state of the art equipment. The training staff if top notch and the staff of the club is so helpful and friendly. The club is kept so clean I feel so comfortable bringing my clients and family here.

Positive experience: The gym is pretty clean, cleaning crew are always wiping down machines and they always have disinfectant wipes to use as well. My only suggestion to make it better, is I wish the trainers walked around more to show people how to properly use the machines/weights. I see so many people with bad form that could get injured. Also sometimes the cleaning crew will get into your workout space to clean around you, but it’s caused me to almost trip a couple times. Overall I am pretty satisfied with this location and staff.
