Fantastic experience: Don’t go to big box gyms where you’re considered just a number - THIS IS THE BEST GYM YOU’LL EVER GO TO. The customer service is TOP TIER!! The facilities are kept incredibly clean, including the locker rooms and sauna. The powerlifting room in the back was my favorite! As a woman I felt completely comfortable going in there daily. Best part was the multiple deadlift platforms and squat racks BUT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!??? TOP TIER. I had recently moved 50 mins away from my hometown and 3 months later, something fell through with my personal life and I had to move back. I informed Kevin and Dylan of my situation - that I could not work out at this location and had to go to a different one that is not affiliated with this one. They were all sympathetic to my situation, heard my story, and made it happen!! I had the best experience here. Although I’m heartbroken to have had to leave this location, I’m just happy to have my gym membership back - because we all know that the gym helps when you’re going through tough times. I can’t thank Jeff (the sales manager), Kevin, and Dylan enough. If I’m ever in the area I’ll be sure to pop in and show my gratitude. THANK YOU ❤️

Fantastic experience: I was paying $170 a month at Lifetime Fitness and if Powerhouse gym they have basically the same amenities for a much better price they have a pool they have yoga they have air scrubbers working at all times the staff is professional and courteous and they’re open all the time I highly recommend this place come see for yourself

Fantastic experience: Gym is large and spacious and not too crowded at peak hours. Pool is much cleaner than Novi location. I am grateful for that.

Fantastic experience: It's a beautiful gym with all the amenities that you're looking for. Rows of cardio machines (treadmills, ellipticals, bikes and stair climbers. To build muscles there's a whole wall of free weights, machine assisted weight training and a designated area for core workouts. If you want to get away from the traditional workout of cardio and weight training, they offer daily workout classes, a basketball court, and a indoor swimming pool for laps. My only gripe is, I don't care for the brand of cardio equipment they have, I personally like Precor.

Fantastic experience: We are living in uncertain times and things are happening that is not under our control. Kevin Shaw at PHG West Bloomfield understood that and helped me out. He turned a stressful situation to a lifelong customer. I have worked in the gym industry most of my life and we need more people like Kevin Shaw. This is the best gym and they have the best people working there. I highly recommend PHG West Bloomfield.

Just recently I've been having some issues with my account and Kevin Shaw was a huge help in trying to figure it out, thank you. I recommend this place to anyone because not only do they have all the equipment but the staff I've dealt with have been great.

Fantastic experience: I became a member in October 2021. My previous gym & training location closed like many others that struggled throughout the pandemic. I needed to get some semblance of routine back in place. I was blown away by the facilities, upkeep & cleanliness. Also started training with Billie-Nicole Howie. She is hands down the best trainer I have ever worked with and just an amazing person. She constantly provides workouts tailored to me , and has an amazing knowledge base of muscle & anatomy far beyond what I would have ever expected. If you are looking for a new gym or trainer...start here!

Fantastic experience: Jason at Powerhouse gave me my tour a year ago, he paired me up with my incredible trainer, Karla Walker. A year later thanks to all of our combined work, I am down 70 pounds and much healthier than I ever have been. Powerhouse has everything I needed, great hours, fantastic trainers, varied classes, a pool, and a sauna. Couldn't be happier. I even signed my son up too.

After being someone who disliked gyms prior to my first visit, the fact that my favorite part of most days is coming here is a crazy turn around. I thoroughly enjoy every visit, and can’t recommend this gym enough!

Fantastic experience: This gym is amazing! Especially during this crazy pandemic! I’ve joined and so have my sisters. It’s clean. Has great machines. The locker rooms are amazing. The smoothie bar... I can go on but Unlike the previous post I’ve read Ive only seen the staff promote social distancing measures. If you’re looking for a great gym I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Friendly atmosphere and very clean. They have additional equipment for cleansing the air. I’m working with a great trainer, Karla, and am becoming very successful in working on my goals. I’ve joined many gyms over the years and this one is the best!

Fantastic experience: Very nice and clean gym with plenty of equipment. Safety measures in place - temperature check at check-in, face masks, wipes, hand sanitizer, etc. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a gym.

Fantastic experience: It was fine prior to Covid. After which they refused to allow me to cancel my membership over the phone. When charges were made on my account, the manager would not refund any charges. After Bank of America worked to return those funds to my account, Powerhouse charged me $222.96. I will now call Bank of America to dispute this again. Bad business.

Fantastic experience: Very polite and helpful desk staff - assisted me logging onto a new Powerhouse app. Also I was allowed to exercise without my mask on, which to me is a necessity for good oxygen exchange. Wearing a mask while doing cardio would interfere with my breathing, plus my mask would become soaked and ineffective. I had heard of some gyms enforcing the mask mandate, even while their clients were doing cardio. My one friend ended her gym membership because of that insistence. She said if she lived closer she'd consider joining Powerhouse. Social distancing was maintained and disinfecting wipes and lotion readily available to enable safe health practices. I considered it a very safe environment in which to conduct my exercise routine. I have missed my cardio workouts for too many months. I am glad Powerhouse is open again, encouraging healthy lifestyles for us all.

Fantastic experience: Love this gym! I will never be able to go back to a Planet Fitness after coming here. Its rarely packed so I can always get any equipment I want and the pool is a great feature that not many other gyms have.

Fantastic experience: Gorgeous decor & great energy, not to mention more equipment & variety of equipment than any gym in the state & possibly in the entire country. Group exercise classes are amazing, Pilates reformers allow people to do everything from yoga, spinning, various group classes, to “semi private “ personal training, ive heard amazing things about the “semi private “ workouts, I’m told Amanda & Don are incredible. Towel service, hydro massage beds, tanning & semi private personal training come w your membership for the 1st month & if u don’t need or use it, it doesn’t cost you a dime, the rates are literally 1/3 the price of Lifetime, & powerhouse obv has basketball courts, pools, physical therapy, AND “Juice It” cafe & juice bar, they only use the highest quality ingredients, everything’s organic & delicious.... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Fantastic experience: PHWB has all the amenities without all the hassle and waiting of using the amenities that I’ve run into at other gyms in my area. I didn’t expect the class offerings, instructors, pool, and floor machines to be as good or better than the many gyms and athletic clubs I’ve been to both in and out of the area.

Fantastic experience: The facility is always clean and although I've seen some machines down a couple times, all the equipment I use has been in good condition. The staff is also friendly and helpful anytime I've had to interact with them. My favorite thing about going here is that there are lots of options to use in your workout besides just everyday cardio machines and weights. The juice bar right inside the gym is also convenient after a workout.

Fantastic experience: This gym is great! The small group training has kept me coming five days a week for the past three months. I love the HIIT classes! The facility is new, equipment is well kept and everything is always clean.

Fantastic experience: This gym is fantastic. Employees are very friendly and help keep a clean facility. I usually use the Bloomfield Hills Powerhouse as my main and use Novi as additional. Both gyms are excellent for weightlifting and/or cardio training. Extremely happy with my membership.

Fantastic experience: Been a member since August. Always clean! Friendly staff! Great equipment! They finally installed boxing bags outside of the classes which is great! Always breaking a sweat and love the sauna!

Fantastic experience: I love this Powerhouse gym! It has everything you need to get you body in shape. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and their classes are quite effective and really push you to have the body you want. I highly recommend joining this gym!

Fantastic experience: This gym is phenomenal. I have been in the gym scene since the late 80s and this is hands down the best one I have ever trained at. Between the wide variety of equipment, spacious floor layout and overall size of the club... you are bound to find what you need at this club.

Fantastic experience: Love it. Just joined and I’ve been everyday for about two weeks. Staff is cool, facilities are clean and the crowd is diverse. Nice mix of fitness focused and just health conscious people. I never feel self conscious here cause everyone’s just working on themselves.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely loved this gym. I’m a powerlifters and have been lifting for a while. This gym had a separate “power room” that I greatly appreciated. They have bodybuilding equipment, cardio equipment, group fitness, all of which is clean and new. The crowd at this gym is diverse and fits the needs of just about anyone. This will be my home gym from now on.

Fantastic experience: New facility means new equipment, clean locker room, fantastic dry heat sauna, and a friendly staff. I went to Novi which is great if you are young and more into a social experience. However if you are looking to simply workout and get on with your day I would choose this place 7-days a week.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing facility. Everything is brand new and they don't try to upsell you on expensive classes or personal training like most other gyms. Additionally, people that go here are, for the most part, serious about working out and not screwing around or just being a lazy sloth. Great atmosphere!
