Fantastic experience: Absolutely love True40! The workouts are the perfect balance of strength, cardio, and mindfulness. The instructors are encouraging, the space is beautiful and clean, and the community is so welcoming. It is the perfect workout to fit into my busy schedule.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to true40 for over two years and I only have positive things to say! I LOVE true40, the atmosphere, instructors and the friends I’ve made through classes. My children love the childcare and it has created such rhythm and routine for us. I feel the strongest mentally and physically that I’ve ever been. Fantastic experience: “I came for the workout and stayed for the community.”-quote from a workout buddy, and it’s so true! Great workout, always challenging, with definite results. Everything is modifiable, so you can get stronger while coming back from an injury or if you’re not in as good of shape as you’d like to be. And you will see all ages and body types in your classes. It’s a welcoming and judgement-free zone.

Fantastic experience: I love the staff and community, but most of all I love that attending classes has allowed me to start running again (pain free!) after a chronic hip injury. Yay!!!

Fantastic experience: True40 is unlike any other workout I have tried and it is my absolute favorite! I love that in one class you are able to get your heart rate up and work those tiny little muscles while strengthening my core. So thankful that I was able to attend a pop-up class at my workplace and was invited to attend a free class by one of the instructors. I am hooked!

Fantastic experience: I love True40! I think it's a great workout option no matter where you are in your fitness journey because they offer modifications throughout. Depending on the class, you'll do a combo of moves at the barre, using free weights, the TRX and more, so it's a good full-body workout.

Fantastic experience: What an amazing experience at True40! I was in Birmingham for a wedding and was looking for a workout class in the area, I found them simply on google maps. The entire True40 community is so kind and welcoming, from MC at the desk to the instructor Sarah to my fellow classmates! It was a killer workout, I left feeling invigorated and powerful. The intensity was high but there were plenty of opportunities to modify. I’ve been to tons of boutique studios in NYC and other cities and this was among the best! I’m sad I live so far away that I can’t go back soon!

Fantastic experience: Hands down my favorite workout in Birmingham! The BEST workout for any stage of life, but it has truly helped rebuild my muscles postpartum. I can’t recommend enough for pregnancy and pp. They offer constant modifications to protect any injury or discomfort you experience. And the modifications are still making you stronger! The entire experience from when you walk through the door is absolutely amazing and unheard of in the fitness world. It’s community over competition mindset. Kaitlyn, Sydney, Rebecca and the team are the kindest and most encouraging people. Kaitlyn, the owner teaches weekly and always makes herself available to her clients and their needs! Sydney, the studio manager//coo, also teaches weekly and makes everyone feel so welcomed and loved! Rebecca is their administrative queen and loves on my twins while I get my workouts in! If you’re on the fence, give it a try and you will not be disappointed! I can’t imagine not having True40 in my life. You’ll feel the same too

Fantastic experience: Other than Pilates, I gave up on group fitness classes after a CrossFit injury that required significant surgery in 2014. Recently I decided to try a class at True 40 looking for the low impact that Pilates provides, but more cardio. I am not very coordinated or athletic by nature, so I was quite humbled by my first class. Now I am almost 2 months in and couldn’t be happier at True 40! The studio is beautiful, the instructors and staff are so kind and welcoming. I feel very comfortable here and that’s saying a lot!

Fantastic experience: I love that you get a full body workout from every class. (And you always know how hard you worked because you can feel it the next day.) The instructors are so welcoming and make an effort to make everyone feel comfortable and included. My only gripe is that I wish the studio space was bigger!

Fantastic experience: I started going to True40 last fall as a part of the Wellness Passport. I visited gyms all over Birmingham and none of them had the sense of community that True40 does. It also has the best combination of both cardio and strength, always being so mindful of how each move might feel different for each body and creating a space where modifications are encouraged. And hear me when I say this, the modifications are NOT a cop out! They are equally challenging moves and the instructors make sure clients know the difference between something that doesn’t feel good because our body is hurting and something that doesn’t feel good because it is hard and our body is changing for the better. I feel more educated on when to take the modifications and when to push myself. I always leave feeling like I’ve truly honored my body and look forward to my next workout!

Fantastic experience: True40 provides great workouts -- and even more are body positive and encouraging. I appreciate how they encourage you to listen to your body, take modifications when needed, but still motivate you to push yourself in a healthy way. As someone who is also postpartum, these workouts have helped me strengthen my body in ways that support my overall health and healing.

I am a swimmer, and I go to the gym regularly, so I think of myself as an active person. I thought that I would not be challenged by the class, and I was wrong. I was shaking! Definitely go here if you are looking for a good workout and try their free class!

Fantastic experience: Kaitlyn and her team over at True40 are top notch! The workouts are a challenge for every fitness level as they do a great job making modifications (and challenges) based on what your body can tolerate. If you want something difficult but low impact that you can do week in and week out, this is the place for you!

Fantastic experience: My favorite workout ever! After an hour at True40 I always leave feeling stronger, encouraged, and refreshed! Every workout is consistently challenging and works to strengthen the entire body, yet offers a variety of postures to keep the hour engaging and fun! Every workout can be catered to specific needs and age groups- offering you a great workout at your own level. This community of people has taught me to honor and celebrate my body because of all it allows me to do each day- not because of a number on a scale. I am forever grateful for this place and how it has impacted my life!

Fantastic experience: I've been coming to True40 since opening week a few months ago and I love it! It has kept me motivated to workout, I am feeling stronger and stronger with each week. I usually workout for a month and fall off but it's been 3 months and now I'm getting up at 5:30am for the 6:00am class!!! I have literally never woken up early for anything but a flight in my life! Love that True40 is helping me to be a better person (and a morning person! :)) and the view from the studio is amazing!

Fantastic experience: Love this place and love the instructors! I tend to be a little ADD when it comes to workouts and true40 capitalizes on that for me! Just when I’m tired of one exercise, we are on to the next! I love the studio space, especially the natural light and big beautiful windows. I hate being enclosed inside the gym and this is the complete opposite! The girls are all wonderful and encouraging. The workouts are modified to your fitness level so truly it is for everyone! Keep up the good work, I’m thankful to be part of this community

Fantastic experience: I love True40! I have had knee problems since high school from running, and True40 offers low impact high intensity workouts that still have me burning 400+ calories each time. They also offer modifications for every single exercise so every person can get a good workout without hurting themselves. And most importantly, this is all done in an uplifting, positive environment with every instructor encouraging you to do YOUR best, not the super fit girl next to you’s best!

Fantastic experience: True40 is nothing short of amazing! Kaitlyn and Taylor have created such a beautiful environment of love and acceptance. After years of yo-yo dieting, at-home workout (and hands-off gym) experiences, I’ve finally found my happy place! Even after two hip surgeries and a back surgery, I can do six workouts a week! With a combination of barre and total body resistance workouts, this is low impact and doable for people of all body types. They give modifications for every move, and every class will keep your body guessing-even if you have the same instructor two days in a row-no two workouts are ever the same! I’m so proud to shake, sweat and burn with the amazing community that is True40 downtown Birmingham!

Fantastic experience: True40 is SUCH an inspiring studio to be a part of. You really feel a sense of community, and that the owners/instructors really care about you. I love the mix of barre, pilates and TRX bands. Can't say enough good about this place!

Fantastic experience: This is my refuge in the concrete jungle! I began at Cahaba and transferred downtown when they first opened and I can’t be more impressed. There are excellent instructors available to correct form, answer questions, and provide modifications for every fitness level. If you haven’t found a fitness home, please check True40 out!
