Negative experience: They don't watch the kids like they are supposed too in summer camp. Someone pulled and then looked down my daughter's shirt while they weren't being watched. The swim program is decent. However, they don't keep track of what level the kids are at and I had to tell them every new session.

Fantastic experience: Kind employees, desk staff are always welcoming and friendly. Other members are typically kind, willing to share swimming lanes.

Fantastic experience: I love this YMCA. Although it is an older facility it is very charming. The barre class with Connie is amazingly good and Sheila the yoga instructor brings a calming and spiritual presence. The Yoga room is very peaceful with lights all around the room.

Positive experience: It would be great if people were actually using the fitness room to actually exercise instead of treating it like social hour and talking loudly ruining other people's concentration. Especially if the same person has been complained about numerous times and nothing is done about it. I pay to use the facilities like everyone else and countless times now I've left early because I cannot concentrate due to this person. It's a gym, not a social club! There's a lobby for that!

Negative experience: Will laugh at you when you fall and not help you at all

Negative experience: Pool area and women's locker room is very dirty. Ugh... Pool is never as warm as they say it is. Cold.

Fantastic experience: I love the YMCA. I go 4 days a week and miss it when I can't. Rob in the weight room is friendly and knowledgeable. The swim classes are great.

Negative experience: pool is too crowded, lap lanes not used when aquatic classes are crowded those unused lap lanes could be used by the crowded aquatic classes. pool deck floor needs good cleaning locker room floors and mats need good cleaning fan in ladies locker room far too dusty parking become an issue

Positive experience: No review, just saying that an employee there was exposed to covid last Tuesday so anyone there since may want to be tested. My coworker said his mother was exposed and she is an employee there. Her name is Diane White.

Negative experience: We went to my niece's 6th birthday party at the YMCA. Everything was great until she started opening her presents. There was maybe 20-25 minutes left of our scheduled time in the party room and the ENTIRE ON DUTY STAFF comes marching in and starts cleaning and tell my sister that they are going to have to kick us out because time is up. So they start making people get up from the chairs and pressuring us to leave. Meanwhile my niece is sitting trying to open her presents. Being her happy birthday girl self while the staff just keeps sighing and rolling their eyes at a six year old! So this place advertises that they will watch your kid for free while you exercise there. So if being straight mean to a little girl on her birthday, in front of that girls parents, family, friends, friends parents is kosher how are are they going to treat other kids on a regular day? tl:dr Don't have a party at the YMCA in JC. They literally tell the birthday girl they have to leave while she opens presents.

Negative experience: This is the worst place to send your kid for camp especially of your african American the staff are racist and will come up with any excuse in the book just to try to get your kid kicked out ...they locked my 4 year old in the gym room alone left to cry...the staff are rude and don't know how to deal with parents or children...they wouldnt run no cameras back so you can see what the issue is for..they waited till the end of summer camp to ask for physical shot record's thinking i wouldnt have any updated record's once i brung them back the staff tried to come up with another excuse and be indirect saying my kids look hungry lol so pathetic of them ...My children eat better than alot of adults and kids so to profile my family that way because were african American is so sad...i wouldnt recommend any parent to send their child to this location at all..the staff talk about kids they threaten kids to listen or they will write them up..this location is so disorganized and they like to judge parents and kids... Also i will be going to the media about this to spread the word to loving parents so they dont experience any racial profiling..

Negative experience: This place is horrible. Paperwork for membership lost 3 times in the beginning. Then 3 months later the paperwork was lost again so the price more than doubled. Numerous phone calls and visits failed to fix it. Finally cancelled a few months later and am still being billed half a year later. Numerous phone calls again and visits and today I get a bill in the mail. I believe in the Y but it's apparently time for a lawsuit

Fantastic experience: Great staff have taken our kid from not knowing how to swim, to being on a swim team. Took two years, but his goal of being on the team has been fulfilled.
