Fantastic experience: I hate fitness classes. Like, really. So I just took the plunge and decided to do PlyoFitness for six weeks. This place is different. Steve has a wonderful way of actually making exercise fun. He's created an environment with social support in a non-judgemental format, that's challenging for both the daily walker to pro bodybuilder. I still hate fitness classes, but I love PlyoFitness.

Fantastic experience: PLYO and everyone on the team is absolutely incredible! It's a small gym with a very welcoming and supportive atmosphere--perfect for anyone who wants to work out but doesn't like the traditional, massive gyms. The group classes are great--they never have more than 9-10 people and feel personalized (I have a few injuries and trainers always provide a modified exercise when needed that works my body and gets my heart pumping just as well as the original exercise.) The pricing is fair and absolutely worth it!
Fantastic experience: This is one of my favorite gyms in the area. Close to me, easy and accessible parking, but the staff is so kind, welcoming, accepting, and genuinely helpful. While they specialize in classes and personal training, they have two little semi-private rooms where you can just use their free weights, benches, and mirror. I get really intimidated (and panicky) going to gyms, but I really like coming here.
Fantastic experience: I took part in the their 6 weeks challenge and I highly recommend it. I usually dislike weightlifting. When I work out by myself in the gym I procrastinate and rarely get anything done but here I was motivated by the instructors and other fellow gym members. The instructors are highly qualified and down to earth. My favorites were Erica and Johnny. I took some Plyometrics classes as well and even though they are good I wouldn't take too many of those in a row if you have weak knees. Overall I like Plyo fitness, it's a straight-to-the-point kind of studio, the staff is super sweet and qualified and there's a sense of community that might be lacking in other studios.

Fantastic experience: I just completed the 6 week challenge with PLYO and let me just say it was kind of a dream! The instructors were so helpful and went out of their way to build a relationship with you and your goals, while supporting your form. This is not something I saw myself being able to do but I felt so empowered the whole way through. Honestly, I started it somewhat non seriously but once I started to see results, I got very into it. The schedule is flexible, the classes are small enough for individual attention, and the facility rocks. Special shout out to Johnny, Kyle, and Erika for always bringing the energy to class! The music is fun and the environment meets you where ever you're at. Can't believe I'm saying this but I couldn't recommend the team at plyo if you're looking to get in great shape and learn weight lifting form at the same time! Fantastic experience: This is the best weightlifting gym for me. The instructors (Tyler, Matthew, and my favorite Kellie) pay attention to our forms and make sure all the moves are in our control. Therefore, we can strengthen our muscles, prevent injuries, and build definitions. I have been taking classes at least once a week and definitely have seen some results.
Negative experience: I saw the great reviews and wanted to check this place out, however the front desk lady told me since I wasn't a resident of LA I was not allowed a visiting pass or free trial day pass for that day. I'm from out of town on a travel nursing assignment and really wanted to find a gym I could workout.
Fantastic experience: Plyo Fitness was exactly what I needed during this lockdown! I first started going to Plyo when they reached out for a 12 week training program. Every other time I've gone to the gym in the past, I would go consistently for a few weeks and then stop. Doing this challenge was the perfect motivation I needed to start working out consistently, and I can't believe just how much progress I've seen in only 3 months! This place has great music, great trainers, and a great atmosphere for anyone who is just starting or far along on their physical fitness journey. I will definitely be continuing to go daily even after my 12 week program is over, and definitely recommend anyone who is looking for a gym to try this place out!
Fantastic experience: PLYO fitness is the place to go! Trainers are not pushy and work with you (especially with someone like me who has lower back problems). They’ve taught me great form and new workouts. Staff is friendly. I’ve lost over 12lbs and put on lean muscle. My body has noticeably transformed over the last 3 weeks. I’ll be continuing my workout routines with PLYO from here on out. Worth every penny.
Fantastic experience: I’ve tried many workouts and this Plyo is by far the best workout I’ve done. Not only have I seen the greatest change in my body, PlyoFitness has built and cultivated a beautiful community - I’ve met so many great people and grateful to say I’ve made some lifetime friends. Fantastic experience: Plyo fitness is a great gym if you want variation in your workouts. They have weightlifting, HIIT-workouts, meditation and yoga in the same membership. The staff are amazing and super helpful. I always have a great time when I go to the gym and it keeps my motivated to go back.

The instructors and staff are really friendly and helpful, the gym is well equipped, and the community they have built is incredible. Trainers are personable and informed; staff overall are very amiable and helpful. Considering they have open gym access, weightlifting classes, plyometrics and yoga, Plyo is essentially a one-stop shop. Highly recommend it.
Fantastic experience: The best gym in LA. I have been working out at plyo fitness for a while now and I feel incredibly strong and fit. The staff at plyo are amazing and always pushing me which I love. The work outs are amazing and you feel great after every session. I recommend this gym to everyone who wants to feel good and wants to get in great shape but also mentally stronger. Fantastic experience: I loved this gym so much I ended up extending my 6 week challenge for another 6 weeks and holllllly heck. I have never pushed myself to work out so hard, so consistently while also having SO much fun while doing it. This is truly such a gem of a gym. Clean, welcoming...comfortable? It's just such a great spot to workout at. I finally look forward to working out regularly. I highly recommend you at least TRY it.
Fantastic experience: I pariticpated in the Plyo Fitness 6 Week Challenge and it has truly been my favorite workout program to date. The staff and instructors are friendly, super knowledgeable, and VERY patient. When I first started I had to ask for a lot of help and they were always there to both guide, help and push me to complete the program and achieve my goals. Cannot recommend Plyo enough. Such a great gym and a great challenge to ease back into a regular workout routine. Also...YOU SEE RESULTS. Like, after week 1 I was already getting compliments and questions from friends.

Fantastic experience: I have achieved goals that I've never been able to at any other place. The trainers are in-tune and THEY CARE. They answer all my questions, and I ask a lot. lol. They are always proactively guiding me through the programming so that I keep growing in strength, power, and functionality. My body has changed here like at no other place. They have a variety of programming that you can tailor and grow with. It's all very dynamic. Not to mention, this place brings me daily sanity. I think I'm a lifer. I love this place and highly recommend it to anyone of any level, who's ready to get going on their fitness goals.
Fantastic experience: I love this gym! I went with a friend and got to take my first class for free. The plyo workout was a GREAT total body workout! Was definitely sore the next day so I KNOW i got a great workout in, which to me is one of the best feelings ever. I decided to sign up for the 6 week challenge (30 classes in 6 weeks) because I really wanted to start a fitness routine where I would be pushed and also be held accountable for my workouts. I chose to do the weightlifting challenge because I'm always so intimidated by weightlifting but really wanted to learn what to do and wanted to build more muscle. Especially my GLUTES! Steve, the owner and one of the instructors, is amazing and made me feel very comfortable during my first weightlifting class and after that I walked into all of my other weightlifting classes feeling way more confident that I knew what I was doing. Steve is there with you basically giving you one on one training during the entire hour and to help you if you have questions. You have your own bench, plenty of room to do the workout and I loved the Bowflex weights we used! Each dumbbell can adjust to different weights. You just turn a knob to the weight that you want and pull it out of the little block it sits in. So easy! The weightlifting challenge allowed me to combine weightlifting classes with the plyo classes and I must say.... my body has gotten so much stronger and I can actually see my abs and my muscles!! Not only has this challenge been amazing for my body but it has been so great for me mentally and emotionally. I feel more accomplished, more positive, happier and definitely proud of myself. I even make it to 8 am workout classes which I have never done before! The 2 pm or the 6 pm is more my speed but on days that I can't make those I have to go to the 8 am class. The old me would never have gotten out of bed to do that! I cannot thank Steve Machuca enough for allowing me to sign up for the challenge. Thank you Steve!! The consistent and fun workouts have made a huge change in my life for the better. The gym itself is also a very comfortable and friendly environment with fun music, easy parking and is lgbtq friendly which I love. I did not feel intimidated at all and I always look forward to going. DEF RECOMMEND THIS GYM!
Fantastic experience: I originally found this gym on ClassPass but have now been attending consistently for 6 weeks and am loving it. I get bored very easily with gyms and with the mixture between weightlifting and Plyo classes, I love this place! The instructors are really lovely and knowledgable, always correcting form and answering questions. The classes are small enough that you get lots of attention and all the equipment and facilities are great! Can not recommend more highly to people looking for somewhere to get fit and have consistency in their workout routine and workout every day with lovely people!
Fantastic experience: As someone who’s always been fairly scrawny and never knew much about lifting weights, I’ve never felt that comfortable going to the gym. I decided to give Plyo Fitness a chance though and I couldn’t be happier that I did. Steve and his team of trainers are so supportive, knowledgeable, and encouraging that coming here to work out is never a chore. As they plan your workouts every day, there’s no guess work. You just show up, follow along, and watch the results start rolling in. And six weeks in now, I can tell you the results are great. My arms, chest, and shoulders are so much stronger and more well-defined. I already started seeing changes after the first week. Swimsuit season, here I come!
Fantastic experience: Having worked out for many years in many gyms employing a wide range of modalities, I'm here to say PlyoFitness beats them all. Steve Machuca, owner and instructor, brings together an innovative and individualistic approach in training all of his clients. As a former top level athlete, I'm keenly aware of what goes into top tier training and PlyoFitness delivers! Through a combination of Plyometrics and weight training, my energy levels were way up and my sleep patterns were greatly improved. Not long after, I noticed a substantial increase in muscles mass, overall body tone and a noticeable reduction in body fat. I don't usually write yelp reviews, but I felt not only does PlyoFitness deserve it but also for anyone out there who is looking for an incredible, results oriented training program.

Fantastic experience: I went in for a group intro to weightlifting class with Steve and had an awesome experience here! The workout was challenging (but in a doable way) and Steve was super nice. You can tell by the way he talked about his clients progress that he is really passionate and knowledgeable about what he does. After the class they offered a free body scan that was really high tech and gave so many great measurements to judge your progress by. This alone is worth a visit and what a great way to stay motivated and accountable when you see your numbers changing. I'd definitely recommend going!
Fantastic experience: Took the 12 week Plyo challenge, and it transformed the way I think about fitness. The trainers, particularly Alfonso, were awesome! It’s a demanding, but supportive environment that’s all about positivity and consistency. If you’re ready to take your fitness to the next level, give these guys a try. You won’t be disappointed!
Fantastic experience: Have been doing their 6 week challenge program and have loved it! The commute was a little tough for me as I don't live super close to the area, but beside that, I loved getting to come in everyday and have a goal to do even a little better than the day before! The meal plan definitely opened my eyes to how much I needed to be eating, as well as what I should be eating and the variety I should be eating. Was very helpful! The trainers are great, Steve, the owner, is incredible! So kind, supportive, helpful! Overall loved this experience!
Fantastic experience: I'm finishing my 12th week on the 3 month challenge program and I really see great results in my endurance, strength and motivation! Steve is a great trainer and teacher and he will guide you through the right exercises to achieve your fitness goals. I highly recommend trying out the 3 month challenge and even becoming a member. It's a great gym to workout at and take a variety of different classes they offer. I have enjoyed working out at this gym and will be continuing to workout to achieve my fitness goals!
Fantastic experience: I think I stumbled into PLYO Fitness through some sort of divine intervention. I was at my all-time heaviest weight, totally sedentary/out of shape, and pretty depressed TBH. On a whim, I signed up for a 7pm Friday weightlifting class through Classpass which ended up being a 1:1 personal training session with the great Steve himself! Not only did he kick my butt (I was crazy winded after only a few body-weight exercises lol), he took the time to get to know me and my goals and saw potential in me that I didn't even see in myself. When he suggested I try his 12-week PLYO challenge, I was scared I would be totally out of my element and fail. Fast forward 12 weeks later and I'm now over 10 pounds lighter, knocking out 50 burpees at a time like it ain't no thang, and way more energized, fit, & confident overall. When I walked into class the first morning of the challenge and saw that almost everyone in the room was super fit (hello hot bod inspo), I admittedly was a little intimidated. BUT the instructors do a great job of keeping the pace of the class really fun/varied, and the group setting helps keep you accountable for trying your hardest. Everyone is encouraging and the instructors are great about suggesting modifications to suit every fitness level or work around pre-existing injuries. The 60-minute class flies by so quickly, leaves me drenched in sweat and feeling like a BAMF. The members are really supportive and encouraging of each other, and I love that it's an LGBTQ inclusive space. Doesn't hurt that Cher used to record in the studio as well!
Fantastic experience: I stumbled upon this place via ClassPass and took a weightlifting class one day. I liked it so much, and having Steve as a trainer that I signed up for their 6 Week Challenge- and it has been a HUGE benefit to my life. Doing the 6 Week Challenge, I was REQUIRED to go to class 5 times a week. When you are starting a gym for the first time and waking up your body, this is a GIGANTIC help to have pressure to go. The hardest part about working out consistently is getting out of bed and going to the gym, but the mandatory attendance made it a non issue. Steve is there for all classes and walks around and shows you the movements. It's literally like having a personal trainer for every workout. If you are sore in one area, he will adjust your workout right then and there. He corrects your form, encourages you to move up in weight and not rest too long. My favorite part about this gym are the Bowflex dumb bells that are used. Each one goes up to 50lbs, and adjusts inside a case so you are not consistently adding and taking off weights. You simply set it down, turn a knob, and the weight is set. You have your own bench and plenty of room to move. Each session ends with an ab workout. If you aren't into lifting weights, there are Plyometrics classes throughout the day that focus on cardio and calisthenics with trainers that don't mess around! I never thought I would be a gym guy, but this gym has finally added structure and physical discipline that I have been seeking!
Fantastic experience: Plyo is great! The class sizes are small so the instructors can focus on each and every student and make sure they’re doing the workouts properly and also succeeding. The owner is very hands on and helps provide meal plans, give you tips and help you every step of the way. Not to mention the accountability. The owner, instructors and fellow students all notice when you are not there and help hold you accountable to come to class. Plyo is not like other studios, it’s about you and you see results!!!
Fantastic experience: I was excited to get started at Plyo fitness because I knew I wanted to be held accountable for my workouts and had no idea where to start. I have been eager to learn how to weight lift for years and am so happy to have started my fitness journey here! I genuinely look forward to going to class everyday. Fantastic experience: I just completed their 12 week Weightlifting Challenge. I went 5 days a week at 7am, and what a wonderful way to start my day. The instructors are so patient and encouraging and are ready to meet you where you can begin, and push you towards your goals. As long as you match their positive attitude, and stay consistent, you'll see results! The other people who work out here are also so nice and I've made several friends. Very LGBT friendly too! Plus they play great music which *to me* makes a difference!!
Fantastic experience: My husband + I enrolled in the Plyo program + absolutely love it! It's tough, but they start you off with baby steps. We're losing a lot of weight! The trainers are THE BEST EVER + are super helpful. My husband has a temperamental back, + I have to be careful with my worn out knees! We couldn't be happier, healthier or more satisfied. We highly recommend this program. Plus... the STUDIO IS DROP DEAD GORGEOUS. IT'S SIMPLY INSPIRING!
Fantastic experience: I have now been attending the Plyo weightlifting classes for a little under a month and I am hooked! The vibe here is exceptional, I know this may seem like an exaggeration but I actually look forward to my workout Mon-Fri. Serious. It's a fantastic way to start out your day as everyone here is upbeat and the overall vibe is positive. The equipment is impressive and the studio is clean and has plenty of space. I appreciate the consistency with the workouts. Members are assigned a packet which consists of each day's workout routine and a place to keep track of your progress. This makes a lot of sense because tracking your progress is an important part of realizing your fitness goals, right? I personally feel that a gym that provides you with the tools to track and maximize your progress, is a place that has every intention of pushing you and aiding you in achieving said goals. It's accountability from all sides. Why aren't more places doing this? I don't know, and I don't care because I have found a great place where I feel and am treated like family. Shout out to the whole team at Plyo, thanks for making fitness an enjoyable part of my daily routine! I look forward to growing with you.
Fantastic experience: I recently started coming to Plyo Fitness after the whole Equinox debacle and I love it!! The trainers are all very attentive and energetic! Really makes you want to push yourself harder! Not to mention they are all very attractive! Ha I’ve been being consistent with my workouts (Plyo and weight training and when I can yoga) and I’ve already lost some weight. If you are looking for a new gym to go to, where there are trainers helping you and wanting you to succeed and you don’t feel out of place, Plyo Fitness is the place to go!!
Fantastic experience: Just completed a 12 week challenge and I would recommend to anyone trying to improve their fitness/health. I received a nutrition plan and professional workouts with dedicated trainers. The staff here is very friendly and professional. They take time to know their members. The trainers recognize that everyone is at a different fitness level but still push you to better yourself. The workouts improved my strength and cardio fitness. They provide a good mix of exercises that keep it challenging and new. The workouts helped strengthen muscles to reduce joint issues and help me achieve a better nights sleep.
Fantastic experience: I am in the middle of my 6th week doing Weightlifting classes with Steve. I cannot say enough good things about this gym. This is a supportive and relaxed environment in which I have always felt no anxiety and plenty of motivation to push myself. The staff including Steve are all knowledgeable, supportive and know how to guide, inspire and push you without making you feel defeated or inferior. I have grown to enjoy the routine of showing up 5 days a week and seeing many of the same friendly faces. My goal is to gain weight and muscle and I have gained more weight in 6 weeks then I have ever put on in any training program in the past! I am excited to see what the next 6 weeks with bring in results.

Fantastic experience: I am on my final week of the 12 week challenge. The whole staff has been incredibly supportive throughout the whole process. The class sizes make you feel like you are a part of a community and not just a number. The facility and equipment are state of the art as well. The classes are difficult but are manageable for a person of any fitness level. They are constantly upgrading equipment and providing all of the tools to make sure you succeed. Getting back into the gym after such a long hiatus is difficult but the Plyo Fitness team made the whole process much easier. I will definitely be continuing my membership once the 12 week challenge is over.

I deal with depression and obsessive eating... the routine and the personal counseling that I received was life changing! I feel like a different person. Fantastic experience: I definitely recommend Plyo Fitness. I've done other interval training classes before (Barry's, Training Mate, Orange Theory, Brick) and none of them really kept my attention and/or got me the results that I was looking for. Plyo is a fun class that gets you a really good work out. Cristiano and Alfonso are phenomenal instructors. They always have fantastic music and have a good way of motivating you to push yourself just a bit more to get you the results you want. Props to Steve Machuca for opening Plyo Fitness. Fantastic experience: Plyo Fitness’s 12 Week Challenge helped me get back into my fitness regimen! The workouts are jam packed with a variety of exercises based on functional fitness, so the movements are modifiable for any fitness level or those working with injuries. Easing in at first, I was able to challenge myself more every week as I saw my strength and conditioning improve. I have tons more energy, increased mobility, and have never felt better! Fantastic experience: I started doing the 6-week challenge and upgraded it to the 12-week challenge after I started seeing results. Steve is an excellent trainer and finds a way to give individual attention even in classes with several other people. He explained the program very clearly and what to expect. The Plyo (HIIT) classes can be really tough - I remember being on the verge of puking at first. But that means progress! They were versatile and consistently worked different muscle groups so that I didn't fall into a rut. Steve always made me feel welcome and like he cared about my progress. Very highly recommend it!
Fantastic experience: I just finished the 12 week challenge at Plyo and can’t wait to continue my fitness journey with them! I am so glad I discovered them on ClassPass and switched over to them. They create a motivating environment that is challenging and uplifting at the same time. I am now in the best shape of my life thanks to plyo!

Fantastic experience: Finally finished the 12 week challenge at @plyofitnessgym. Beginning weight 237lbs & end weight is 230lbs! I lost 3 inches from my waist, gained some significant lean muscle and toned up my (not pictured). Most importantly, I am in far better shape than before and can do 50 burpees without a problem! Thanks @plyofitnessgym and @a2fitnesssocal for helping this fat kid get some confidence back! Check these guys out if you want to seriously change your body and health!
Fantastic experience: This place is awesome. The trainers are very hands on and help you every step of the way. The workouts are great and the space is really nice. If you’re looking to tone up or shed some weight, this is the gym.

Fantastic experience: Best weightlifting class in Los Angeles!! They’re all about consistency and their classes are semi private. Way more affordable than having a personal trainer and way better results. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: The weightlifting sessions are so structured!! The programs are all about results and it is set up so you don’t have to wonder what to do each day. Everyone is very friendly. I’m addicted to Plyo Fitness. Never felt better and can’t wait for the summer so i look fit at the beach!

Fantastic experience: Great classes that fit to every level of fitness. Steve makes sure that you are safe, comfortable and working at an appropriate level. He pushes when you need it though and is very encouraging and supportive. After about 3 weeks I already feel stronger and can tell that the classes are making a difference!
Fantastic experience: Awesome work out! I started working out here because I wanted a change in my workout routine and I've seen a huge improvement! Steve is a great trainer and you can see how passionate he is about fitness and helping his clients achieve their fitness goals. He also let me try the body scanner that they have at the gym (for free) to get a better idea of where I was at. Super motivating to be able to see my results!
Fantastic experience: I started going to Plyo Fitness over a year ago for a 3 month P90X class. I kew it was going to be a big commitment, but the moment I walked into class Steve treated me like he had known me for years. The class is high energy, motivating and he provides a thorough do's and don'ts for optimal results. After the P90X I started Weightlifting Quadmester and absolutely love it. I have never been a big fan of cardio so I shifted to the Weights. I have been going for 10 months and continue to see results and he is always pushing me...and he still tries to get me to do burpees a few times a week.
Fantastic experience: Love this gym! I was trying out new types of gyms because I got tired of paying the monthly dues and not going to 24 hour fitness, so boring. I love Plyo Fitness! The classes were very welcoming and pushed me just enough. I'm glad I found a gym that holds me accountable and is more fun.
Fantastic experience: I’ve been doing the weightlifting program now for 2 months, been showing up everyday! I’ve definitely have never seen results like this before when I used to workout on my own, mainly because I’ve been consistent and the trainers help you with everything! I didn’t realize before that my form was off... but having someone watch you has really helped. Highly recommend the weightlifting! You won’t regret it.
Fantastic experience: I’ve been enrolled in Plyo Fitness in the Weightlifting Quadmester and I’ve been seeing tremendous results! Working with Steve Machuca has been a pleasure and his program has challenged not only my physical performance in weightlifting, but also my mindset with working out. He has shown me how to really be consistent with my workouts and my daily meal planning for me to see true results in my body. I definitely feel I’m at a place where I belong rather than just a number at a commercialized fitness center.

Fantastic experience: Let me be the first to say I HATE working out. And since I've ALWAYS felt that way, I never even really attempted it. Just the thought of exercising annoyed me. Last year I moved to Los Angeles...and with LA being the tough town that it is, I didn't exactly make friends overnight. So out of pure boredom one day, I decided to start exercising to see what the hype was all about. Slowly, very hesitantly, but surely enough, I started working out more and more until it turned into a daily occurrence. I unwillingly surprised myself at how much I enjoyed it, then actually started looking forward to it as well. I decided to join a gym so I could learn more techniques and really push myself in this newly discovered hobby of mine. After doing some research and asking around, I decided to join Plyo Fitness. Not only were the prices for the classes pretty reasonable, but once I started, they were MORE than worth it. Believe me when I say I hit the fitness JACKPOT with my decision. I started training with Steve and taking his plyometrics class a few days a week. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable about fitness, he's well versed in nutrition as well. (Not to mention his physique is that of a Greek God) Since I was trying to avoid cardio (at all costs) but still wanted some kind of workout with core movement, Plyometrics was EXACTLY what I had been looking for. Not only can I do plyo, but they offer weight training classes as well to round it out. So coming from someone who would have literally chosen to do ANYTHING other than workout, now I can honestly say I wouldn't trade my classes at Plyo for a GD thing. #Plyofitness
Fantastic experience: Such a fun gym!! The classes kick your butt & you leave a sweaty mess! Steve the owner has a great energy about him. Community feeling is the overall vibe you get here. Worth it to try a class and get involved :)
Fantastic experience: Best decision I ever made! Enrolled in the plyo trimester and loved it. Steve helped me with a workout plan while I was traveling and it was a huge help. Got it done! But you have to stick to the program and eat healthy. This was perfect before my vacation. Go do it! You won’t regret it.
